I have two dogs and keep my yard immaculate. I still have flies. I introduced three of these large fly traps to the outskirts of my yard, and no longer have problems with indoor flies.
How do you dispose of them without touching the bait? I got the disposable one since I was just wanting to test it out. But it’d be super nice to not have to throw out so much plastic
A little late, but if you can deal with the smell (it's ... Indescribable) just unscrew the lid and dump the contents in the trash... Make sure you do it just before they pick it up though.
Honest question: are these safe to use indoors short term? Yes, I am aware of how awful they smell, but my kids leave our door open often, and when they do we get about 100+ flies in our house. Just eant to make sure the stench wont harm anyone. I dont plan on leabing it inside long. Maybe a couple hours.
If it’s outside then they’ll go towards the trap not the front door. They’re absolutely rancid and will stink up your house. It’ll also attract more flies into the house.
Hi Take a video and count the catch per minute. Then you can count the qty of flies. So if you kill say 5000 a day and after a week you still do that qty/minute double up on the traps until the fly population starts to slow down. Then you do maintenance on those traps. If you have neighbours then coordinate the traps with theirs in the same manner. Also make sure the trap waste is dealt with in a way the eggs, larvae and pupae are killed. Good luck. Grant #flybraai
Oh they definitely work. I'll fill the bag completely in a week. But I think I'm gonna ask the neighbors to buy the next ones, im sure I'm getting their flies too, lol.

What ever you do don’t keep in reach of your dog.
Dog spilled formula on patio and chewed container had over 100fly attracted to the spill.
Lmao
I just bought 2 of these. I have dogs also. When i run out of the water packets, i'm going to put hardened dog poop inside instead.
That or just use a little bit of fish scraps, apple cider vinegar and water and it'll attract way more than poop
It works well, however, it stinks like crap
