Best demo of this pedal on YT! You sold me on it, mainly because of displaying the cleans. I want heavy John Sykes Whitesnake and 80s hr/hm tones, but I also want jazz cleans and light fusion sounds and everyone goes right for the heavy tones. This is all analog and kills the digital modeling. I love Tech 21 and I'm gonna grab one.

Great video, thanks. No talking is absolutely perfect. I wish they would have also put that great tuner (from the flyrigs) into it. Would have made it perfect. Maybe an updated version will have it ... hopefully!
And an effects loop
I had a PSA-1 for many years, now I have a Helix. It would be great if the Line 6 would do a model of this for the Helix: one parameter for each of that tweakfest of knobs.They already have a Tech21 Bass Driver in there. This is a serious point, I have used the VST software version of the PSA-1, compared it to the real thing and found it to be pretty good.
PS. Tweakfest is my own newly invented collective noun for music gear knobs: seen first here.
Damn , this thing is so versatile. I wish they still keep it in rack format for studio use. Love the sound, just hate the look. But i still bought it, anyway.
This is amazing if you use de FX Loop (like a preamp) real amp with 1x12! Good review man!

It does.
@@danielclark612 It does not. It has an analog cab sim - and a pretty good one at that! - but it does not support Impulse Response files.
This and TC Electronic IR loader, my perfect pair. That being said, you'll be in the digital realm once you do this. I understand some players don't like digital, I respect that, so keep it in mind.
Fx loop missing
well...not really...just put the effects after PSA.
Or put this in the fx loop of a pedal.
Nope. I use this with TC Electronic IR loader. Turn off speaker cab then place the effects after PSA, before the IR loader. If you want flexibility buy something like Boss ES-5. You can loop until you get tired.
@@bassyey Will it work if you put it at the end of your effects chain, and into your Amp? I have a Boss KT100, but I just use it as an amp. It seems like it's supposed to be used like an amp, right? Why do you put the effects after it? I use a lot of fuzz pedals, so I don't think that would work. I have my delays, etc.. in the effects loop of the amp. Thanks!
I didn't like the cab simulation, way better through a real amp. Maybe a Torpedo Cab M would be needed.
