Where is the High Country XR12 ? Perhaps set one up and shoot it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised and impressed. I have been shooting all the name brands Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, PSE, Bear but all of my High Country bows can compete with the best of these top manufacturers and nobody gives High Country the props that they deserve. FYI, I have the original All-Carbon bow from High Country with Barnsdale limbs, it’s so light you can spin it on 1 finger and it shoots beautifully. High Country had all-carbon long before any of these other manufacturers did
Haven’t heard of that bow! Our bow shop must not have had that model
I've got the omnia and absolutely love it
Those bows are awesome! It definitely impressed me!
I went with the Hoyt Vtm 31
Nice! That’s a great bow 🤙🏻💪🏻
These bow prices are getting ridiculous though
Your not kidding!
I chose the Bowtech SS34, the fact that you don't have to buy all your parts new but can rebuild from another bow I think is an added value!
If this trend continues, many aftermarket companies will stop!
That bowtech SS34 was an awesome shooting bow! Definitely one of my favorites! I agree completely on the aftermarket stuff
All the “normal” accessories work with the new Mathews just like always.
@@kippbolt5449 The new stabilization of Mathews are only usable with a new Mathews bow (the exclusive Bridge-Lock Technology these new stabilizers integrate directly into the riser and then new Bridge-Lock™ Sight Technology allows a dovetail sight to be mounted through the bow’s riser !)
if you choose a different brand of bow afterwards, you are obliged to buy everything new.
This was an awesome review! I appreciated your honesty about why you like Mathews Archery Products, and wasn’t a bit surprised you liked the Hoyt or the Prime. I shoot the VXR28 and I am on the fence with the new VTM or Revex 2.... Decision is a tough one, all my bows are always black so accessories isn’t an issue with matching colors. Let’s see a new sight review now.
Appreciate it 🙏🏻. Definitely getting harder to make a decision between bows with so many good ones now. But good thing is you can’t really go wrong what you go. We will definitely consider a new sight review 👍🏻
Might have to check this place out
Highly recommend it!!
See I like bow shock and vibration it’s feed back I like on my shots it tells me everything
True good point on that
I do like that Bowtech and PSE but I ended up buying my V3X last year when it was released so right now I don’t see myself buying another new bow for a couple years. I went with the Mathews not just because I really liked the way it shot but also because of price and accessories. I do really like the phase 4 and the new stabilizer system. Dang it’s expensive though. I know the bridge lock system is here to stay so many in the next couple years I’ll break down and buy a new one. Thank you all for the great video.
Mathews definitely has a good system between the bow and accessories. Like you said I’m sure a few other companies will follow in the future and maybe not hurt the pocket book as bad
great reviews.. helps with all the choices out there.
Appreciate that Dave!! 🙏🏻👊🏻
Great vid fellas!
Thank you 🙏🏻
Actually Martin started the reflexed behind the grip riser
Oh ok nice!
Great content. Thank you
Thank you!
I always wrap my bow grips never feels cold
For sure, then you don’t need a carbon bow with a little hockey tape haha
How come the Hoyts were edited out? Great video
We just shot the new VTMS the carbon bows were the same as 22 models
@@therisehunthow did you like the Hoyt?? Also great video!!
@@marlonorsburn4345 Hoyt felt like the standard from them, smooth draw, good back wall minimal vibration. Definitely a contender at the top with others
Great review! I’ve noticed Martin appears to be stepping up their game recently. I’d love to see their MTX 29 in this type “head to head” review.
That’s honestly a bow that we haven’t shot a in few years. Not sure of any dealers in our area. Last time I shot one though it was a nice bow. Would be interested in shooting a new one though for sure!
great video guys
Thank you!! 🙌🏻
I’m glad you guys are not fanboys! You guys did a good honest review. Thanks!
Thank you, really appreciate it 🙏🏻
Didn’t show him shooting v t m 31 ?
Can’t skip out on the Hoyt!!
You did though lol
Mathews bows clank into the back wall something fierce.... Gimmick
Not sure what you mean but Thanks for the engagement
Stop slapping that trigger,dang.😉😮🙏
😂he’s not perfect
@@therisehunt I’m not being mean. Please help him stop 🛑!👍😁😆🏹🎯
He will thank y’all later!
@@anthonyforfare7223 oh I know you weren’t and you are a 100% right. Some good off season goals to work on
@@therisehunt yes sir, thank you for the positive response 👍😁🏹🎯🦌🦃
@@anthonyforfare7223 I know Nick is going to be trying out a hinge during the off season to help fix the process
I think PSE (ec scam specifically) took the crown on carbon, they were all good though.
Definitely! 👊🏻
I've had my new Fortis 30 with the EC2 cam for a few weeks now and I love it. Recovering from a shoulder injury and I would say I'm probably drawing about 5 pounds more on my setup than I could with an S2 cam. So shootable!
@@mossbackbear good to hear you found comfort to keep shooting! Everyone’s worse fear is a shoulder injury and not being able to shoot
Good honest review wish y'all had a Fortis on hand. Surprised you didn't mention the 4.5lb weight of the B-Tech Carbon at all?? Just a raw thought, but all the features aside I felt like they may as well just produced it in an aluminum riser and shaved $400 off the MRSP? Not literally, but I think you know what I'm saying. Once built out it's as heavy as 2 of my aluminum rigs. I guess my thinking is a carbon bow is about weight reduction for me personally. The tuning and grip features are great but not all of it. I don't spend $1800 for temperature control, more for the strength and lighter carry. Just an average Joe opinion.
Appreciate the comment! The carbon bows are sweet for sure I agree but dang are they expensive lol
Sweet crossbows. ;)
🏹🏹👊🏻👊🏻
It’s not a crossbow there sling bows
I bought the V3X now I’m having second thoughts I wish I would’ve bought the Hoyt ventum instead.
Oh no 🙈
Best pro shop in the midwest.
Derek (The Wizard) is as good as it gets as a bow tech as well.
Great video guys!!!
Agreed on all things 🙌🏻
With my v3x I had it set up with a heavier front stabilizer and it was absolutely numb to shoot. Dead dead. I personally didn’t like that. I like it with light weight and it gives me feedback on a good shot and a bad shot a clear difference in the feel of the recoil. I think a bow can be tooo dead in hand personally.
Just all boils down to personal preference. Little feed back from the bow can be nice though
Give Athens Archery a try
Would love to! Gotta find somewhere who has one near us!
Y did you not shoot the hoyt
2022 and 2023 were the same
@@therisehuntI didn’t think thats what your video was supposed to be about. And obviously you know thats not true
Have the omnia first elite I've bought mine has tons of cam lean even after being shimmed ridiculous
Sounds like whoever tuned the bow doesn't know what they are doing or they tuned around a form flaw. If it's shooting bullet holes with lots of cam lean you are torqueing the grip really bad or your DL is way too long.
@@douglasvaughn9530 haha may wanna do your research tex lots of omnias leaning like a mother fukr
Sounds like you need to take it to our guys over at sunrise.
Is there a reason you didn’t shoot the Hoyt? You didn’t say much at all about it? Seemed like you just starred at it. Just curious?
Because they didn’t release a new carbon model it’s the exact same bow from the year prior 🤙🏻
Timestamps are your friend. Don't be lazy. Use them. :)
Not sure what a time stamp is? Is that a feature on UA-cam
@TheRiseHunt say someone wanted to compare the phase 4 to idk a Mach 34 they'd be able to just click on the time stamp of each and see your review of each. Idk how to do it but if your going to put out content I'd definitely look into it, would help your subscribers and we'd definitely appreciate it as well.
Just UA-cam how to make timestamped videos.
It's pretty much a skip the nonsense (not saying anything on this video is) and get straight to what their looking for in the video
Ahh I see what your saying now! I definitely will look into that. I appreciate the feedback for sure that means a lot 👊🏻🙏🏻
“ nice back wall “ equals poor form .( in my opinion and lots of variables.) cable stops help . ;)
All depends on the shooter. I could see it causing some laziness though
AS SOON AS I PICKED UP THE LEVITATE IT WANTED TO FALL FORWARD OUT OFMY HAND AND THEN I DREW IT BACK AND JUST SHOOK MY HEAD! THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST DRAW CYCLE OF ANY BOW I HAVE EVER SHOT! IN MY OPINION FOR ME THIS BOW IS UN SHOOTABLE! YAH, I KNOW IT'S 5FPS FASTER THAN THE OTHERS! I HAVE TO LAUGH AT THAT ALSO! BOTTOM LINE IS IT'S EXTREMELY CRUDE, LIKE A TOOL A CAVEMAN WOULD USE!
MACH 34 SORRY! I SHOT BOTH AND THEY WERE BOTH EQUALLY BAD!
Interesting! Do you know what Cam it had? I believe there is 2 maybe even 3 cams available that fit that bow model Derek mentioned in the video. Thanks for your input! 👊🏻
IM ALL ABOUT SMOOTH AND SHOOTABILITY, THE REST IS ON THE SHOOTER!
100% man! 🙏🏻👊🏻
Yeah you should try shooting a real bow. Now what are the best recurve bows?
Whole new challenge for sure! One day it’s a goal to try and kill one with a recurve
What’s the deal with you punching the trigger with your middle finger??? What a bubba
Never claimed to be a expert shot, but thanks for the feedback
I said the same thing. Dude is cheating himself not learning a controlled shot
I personally have never been impressed with the customer service from Sunrise Archery in Fenton Michigan. Bought my VXR from them a few years back and after buying my sons Mission hammr from them, I won't be going back.
Really?! Wow man that’s a surprise! I know all the staff on a personal level and they are honestly all great guys! I’ve never even heard of anyone having a bad experience.
Best New bows of 2023 and didn't shoot the best bow (Hoyt). 🤷♂️
Showed the Hoyt VTM, the RX7 didn’t change in 23 same bow as 22 this video was the new bows! 🙏🏻👊🏻
Minus the best on my opinion. (Bear Execute)
I seen alot of trigger punchers before but never a middle finger trigger puncher till this video!!! 🤣 where is the Bear execute review!? They been manufacturing bows in the US 90 years but doesn't deserve it I guess.
Broke my first finger racing motocross 20 years ago… So had to learn to shoot with second finger to hunt that season. Never went back to the first finger. Pretty sure there isn’t a rule what finger you have to shoot your bow with. Guess I’ll switch to my pinky from now on if it makes expert bow hunters / keyboard warriors like yourself cringe. Thanks for your engagement on our video
