Bach was literally a perfect composer. Everything he wrote was about perfection. So it makes sense that it could easily translate to any genre perfectly. Again, love this so much

It is a funny thing how well distorted rock guitar works so well with classical music. Sure if those old composers had access to todays kit they would have gone nuts on it.
Melodic death or Sinfonic Metal are most similar to classics
Vivaldi with a modern drum kit and top drummer, the thought makes you drool...
Also, you can't play this stuff with trebbly jazz guitars and amps, the mids and bass have to roar a bit to play baroque.
Somwthing tells me that they would be too busy looking at their cellphone screens. No time to write music!

@@samkinison2375 - I don't think they were claiming these guys were the first (Yes, we all know Jethro Tull did this song as well, but more traditionallly, utilizing with Ian's flute). I believe they were simply stating they appreciated this composition. No need to hate and act like a music snob. You simply could've informed him of other interpretations of this piece. You keep on hating, but you stopped and cared enough to leave a lame comment.

In his day Bach was an innovator. He was known to be a 'rule' breaker. I'd like to think if he were alive today he would embrace the newest technology just like he did in his time, so this is a valid interpretation. I think he would love it. Well played, guys.

So good is his version of Bourrée, that I didn't miss the sound of Ian Anderson's flute.
As a guitar player I´m speechless , solid interpretation ,fantastic furious solo and fucking awesome attitude despite the great drums and freaking bass. Hands down.
