The Smiths were just so impossibly good. Marr was a genius, and Morrissey at this age was truly, in my opinion, one of the great artists of all time. Like literally in company with Wilde, Proust, Shakespeare. He conveyed so much with such simple words, and so much pain with always a twist of humor. There will never be another like these guys.
The Smiths were a once in lifetime band. They changed my life forever. Sometimes I wish more people in the US could have seen them. They were done before we really got to know them here. I'm so grateful to have seen them. I believe it's why we all are flocking to see Johnny. And all credit goes to him because I think he understands that. I’m so very grateful to have seen them. Not many did in the states. I’m seeing Johnny In 5 days and I think I’m going to lose it. ❤️
It's 2018, I am 38 years old, and I just discovered this song this past spring. It describes all my feelings and teenage angst back in the 90's. Every time it made me drop a lot of tears. a hidden treasure!!
Got to admire Marr doing the synth melody of the recording - on the guitar - in this live setting. Masterful. Sadly never got to see The Smiths or Morrissey play but caught Johnny and his fine band a couple of years ago in Fremantle, Western Australia and he was awesome.

Marr is the definition of leaving the audience wanting more. I always wish his solos went on for a minute or two more. So crisp and short.
No clue at all how people claim that Imagine is the best song ever, they must’ve never heard this.

It's crazy this song, along with How Soon is Now, was cut from the album to make way for Is It Really So Strange and London.
morrisey dance style!
Those mammary glands are raw
Marr's guitar on this performance is god like
The chordal guitar layering in this performance is amazing
10/10 song. Masterpiece. One of the Best songs of All Time across all genres.
