Hello mate, Great van build! with regards to it looking like a builders van it might help to put a sticker on the back "No Tools left overnight" and maybe some extra security for potential tool thieves. All the best!
The correct place for the hi-viz vest is over the back of the passenger seat. The dashboard is for empty MacDonalds boxes. Maybe a trade catalogue for an asbestos or general waste removals supplies firm would add to the look.
I would suggest doing a stitching repair to the rips in the passenger seat to stop them getting worse. Drilling holes, it is probably ok but my Spidey sense says fit rubber grommets to the holes that have cable and conduit running through them.
When the weather is rubbish and you want to have back doors open I have a piece of plywood with a a bit of paint to waterproof it and a couple of blocks and bungee to keep it up on top. Worked a treat
Congrats to the family Also, I'd stop building anymore vans. Seems to me that everytime you take on a van project you end up with another child 😂 give it 10years and you will.converting a double decker bus with 20bedrooms with bunks for all the kids😅
One thing people forget. If a van in the future needs some welding. A lot of garages refuse to work on them until insulation is removed. Especially if it's been foam sprayed as its a scrapper. I think you have approached it the correct way as it can be removed. ❤ George and Jane Motorhome Adventures
It’s extremely important in my opinion to get a van up on the ramps and your garage to check for any rust before installing anything in a van. Welding with just ply lining in the van is a fire risk so best to get any welding done before a conversion
Great video Shaun, wifey watching it with me and said you also need crisp packets, lots of receipts, McDonald cups and a clipboard and pen on the dash to complete your stealth look 😊 Congrats to you all on the birth of your baby daughter 🎉 I have two kids and they will bring you years of happiness (and challenges 😅) I’m going up to London to watch Arsenal with my lad today and I’m renovating his first house with him & partner, done same with my daughter ❤️ enjoy 😉
There is quite a lot of ex BT mwb Fiat Ducato vans for sale on Autotrader that come with two single seats and diesel heaters. They would be perfect for a stealth or regular camper van. Another good thing about Ducatos, Boxers and Relays is the fact you can get sliding glass windows to fit in the barn doors, which I’ve never seen for any other van.
Great too see you back in the van, congratulations on your baby girl you look very happy dad enjoy those special family times good luck 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈
Firstly conratulations on your new arrival matey. This was a cracking Vlog Shaun, the vans progress is looking epic. Great to see you building this and sharing your tips.
Fantastic solution for the seat! I know this may be of use for someone else... Maybe a vanlifer driving in Spain and returning to the UK could bring over a left hand seat for another build? Also... I seem to recall Greg Virgoe doing this and took a left seat from a donor vehicle and put his double seat in theirs.
Great to see your daughter - you must be very proud Very interesting van build - great to see how you sorted the passenger seat Wouldn't an asbestos removal van be more memorable than a plasterer's van? Neither should have tools worth stealing, but one stands out more
Great update, wish we had the new dodo mat when we were doing the sprinter conversion, good idea with the seat adapt what you already have, and congratulations on the new addition to the family.
Firstly congrats on the birth of your baby girl Lowen, she is beautiful. Don’t forget if it’s to look like a works van to have the obligatory "No tools left in this van overnight " sign and the slogan " I wish my wife was as dirty as this van" rubbed in to the dirt on the back doors. Another great video, keep up the good work.
Hi Shaun, I forgot to ask last video what brand and/or where did you get those small security cameras from? I’m wanting to install a similar setup in my van build. Thanks mate (Australian 😆)… P.S, Congratulations on the wonderful new arrival ❤
I got luck with my last Vivaro , someone on Facebook bought a brand new van which had 2 single seats , they wanted a double and as mine was in decent condition and pattern matched his other one we swapped seats with no cash involved 🙂. not so lucky with my present van though a Renault Master lwb , can't find a single seat for it anywhere , as soon as one pops up for sale it is well over priced but sells quick ! 🤣
Hi Shaun the new baby is so cute congratulations to you both. Re lettering the van. I wouldn't if I were you. I have had lettered vans most of my working life (49 years) can be a good thing but can also lead to unwanted attention. If you lettered the van, someone may think that is a service we need. You can use the Google app now to take a picture and it finds all your details. When they find out you do not exist they may report this to the police as suspicious along with your license plate that would be attention you really don't need mate. Keep it unlettered is my advice. Dave (York)
Thanks for the advice David however if all that happened it would make an excellent video so I’m almost hoping the police do get involved 😂. At the end of the day as long as your sign writing isn’t offensive it’s no one else’s business what you right on your vehicle.
I don’t know if you’re aware but Renault trafics have galvanised bodies no need to worry about rust only place they ever rust are on the jacking points on the seal👍
Great job with the van bud. I think that your single seat belt will throw a light up on the dash as the vans brain is used to seeing 2 seatbelts for the passenger side. but you can fix this by attaching the old wiring harness and seat belt clip and cable tie it up under the seat.
Congratulations to the both you on the birth of you baby girl. Problem with making it look like a work van is it saying to the local scroates there may be tools aboard
Looking good. Tempted to change the double seat on my mk2 vivaro but the base lifts and gives a lot of handy storage space for electric hookup cable, splitter and jump leads etc. Did you put curtains up on the sliding door window you had on the last vivaro? Im struggling to find a solution as mine was a crew cab so has a plastic trim around the window so cant drill into the metal for poppers or use magnets. Any ideas greatly appreciated x Beautiful daughter by the way
I loved that one way more cos its proper 'adult secret den building!!' Cos it's all it is really aint it 😂 can't wait for the stealth sleeps in this!!! ❤
Looking back at this video.... after having had builder at my properties... is dented body work on the vans, and non of them have had a wash and polish in years (and no alloys)
Having bodywork bits missing, bumpers with cracks makes it look more like a commercial van. If it's too tidy it looks a bit too loved. Don't know if they do one for Vauxhalls, but you can get a kit for VWs which lets the back of the twin passenger seat fold down.
Congratulations Again, great job on the seat solution, do you think you will you need to make any amendments to the DVLA vehicle registration from 3 seats to 2 ?
You have probably thought of this - but instead of fake sign writing why not sell the space as advertising space? Make a few $ as you travel .. congrats on the new bubs
Yeah I'm not sure about the work theme when you have cameras round the out side ladders on top that tells me there's tools in side but what do I know lol
Now that you have a baby youll be needing that 3rd seat for the baby chair. So i expect you will be refitting the double passenger seat - hope u didnt throw it away : )
Hi i am at the same point as you in van build i am thinking about having no seat passenger side as i go solo camping and then have my fridge where the passenger seat was will it fail MOT anyone ? thanks
Supermarket delivery vans only have a drivers seat. In my experience, if you remove a seat, ensure you remove any seat belts and mountings so it is physically impossible to use that area as a seat.
Have you thought of a plan for when people come up to you when in the van to ask you to quote for an asbestos removal job? Or how to deal with those nosey Parker’s who just want to know what jobs you’re working on so they know where all the asbestos is?
@3:49 I think there's something wrong. Don't all new born babies come with a woolly hat? Serious question though... Why use the sound deadening + the 12mm insulation + the recycled bottle insulation? I'm curious as usually people just use the sound deadening + bottle insulation.
No need for two way fans both ends at all then? Cooking, crapping stenches, weather etc? You’d think all that insulating would make it an absolute sweat box in the summer and I get it’s meant to “keep cool summer, warm winter” but in summer once the hot air gets in how does it get out? Only experience I go by is a mate done out hos whole loft in a 3 bed semi once, all properly and in the summer it was a greenhouse 🤔🤷🏻♂️
In addition to the hi vis and mask I would get one of those seat organisers you hang from the headrest. You can use it for handy extra storage for wee bits and bobs hidden under the odd role of insulated tape or other small building materials used by tradesman, which you can also use in the van, like charging cables, screw drivers etc. Hang some safety goggles over the headrest too and boom like a proper operational tradesmans van cab, with the added hidden storage usage.
Here you. I’m not sure if it still works though. Get your Chefree air frier here: Product Link: bit.ly/4bTfkrm Discount Code: LoveSundays CHEFREE AF300 Mini Air Fryer now only £44.99 after using the £5 off discount code!

Great vlog. As part of the work van theme, you need a Sun newspaper and a screwfix catalogue on the dash, drivers side.😂
No Screwfix catalogues anymore, sadly; it's online only. I miss those days!
Great idea
Congrats to the family

Congratulations to you both on your lovely new daughter. Van video coming along great.
I bought an ambulance seat for mine. It has a tip up seat which makes it easy to get in and out of the passenger door
congrats on the birth of your daughter, she is very cute!

I,m enjoying this van build much better than the last one. 😊
Looking good mate. Can’t wait to see the finished product it’ll be amazing 😊
Lovely to see Lowen, featuring in your video, congratulations to you both, she's gorgeous.
Great to see the progress on the van too ...
Thanks so much! 😊

Goooood morninggggg Lovesundayers!! 🌄
wellcome bk Shawn glad u had time off with the family ✌️✌️
Congratulations on the baby girl.
I think leave the damaged door on. Adds to the stealth look.
Aaahhh Congratulations to you both on the safe arrival of your little girl 🌸🦋
Thank you so much!!

the passenger seat ideal is brilliant one, i think i like that for mine 👍👍👍👍
Work van outside. Be a surprise for the tool thieves 😊
Love the hack. Good find ❤
Congratulations to you all, and welcome to the world of UA-cam little Lowen. 😊 Her little squeak was adorable. ❤️
Nice! I love this video series. Congrats on the new baby!
I would leave the back doors because you want it to look like a work van and work are always damaged
Fabulous name for your new Daughter, Shaun. She is beautiful. Nice work on the van too. Much respect 🙏-Kenny
Thanks 👍

You’re doing a cracking job Shaun on the van, loving this build. 👶 lowen looks lovely. Cheeeers Maxx
Thanks 👍
Congratulations on the brand new baby girl !
Thank you!!
Another informative and well explained video Shaun. Cheeeerrrs.
Hi m8 van started to look good and not forgetting greetings from a fellow Cornish UA-camr and congratulations on your daughter's birth
Hi Shaun, I forgot to ask last video what brand and/or where did you get those small security cameras from? I’m wanting to install a similar setup in my van build. Thanks mate (Australian 😆)…

Leave the back door, unless it wont lock. You don’t see many pristine work vans. 😊
Congratulations on the little girl!!🎉🎉
Thank you!! 😊
Lovely little girl Shaun congratulations 🎉..The van looks like a snow storm hit the inside … Good job 👍
Thanks 👍
Congrat's on your new arrival. She looks so kute. With the van, why don't you put the high viz jacket over the passenger seat?
Congratulations on your baby girl 🎉
Don't forget to put a ladder clamp on your ladder, past lots of workvans with them on this week
Congrats you 3 with the new arrival 👨👩👧👦
Good call!

My 2013 Vivaro only has a sensor on the drivers seat belt( thank God)
Only one of the belts on the double seat had a pre tensioner so no lights on the dash yet and I’ve been driving it for a week already
@@LoveSundays ah ok cool, I have a trafic so just thought it would be the same, i had 2 pre tensioners on mine.
@Jerry06660 yea the double passenger has a pretensioner for the left hand side seat but the middle seat it’s just bolted to the frame
Great video shaun and your daughter is a cutie and love the name
Thanks so much
Love you videos sir.! I going on to work on my van. And you giv me god tips❤ Hi from sweden sir 😊😊
Best of luck!
Congratulations to the both you on the birth of you baby girl. Problem with making it look like a work van is it saying to the local scroates there may be tools aboard
This van starting to scream "Tools left in van overnight" 🤣 Another good video!
Clever seat hack Shaun. 👍

Hi Shaun , good helpful video 👍 . Could you put a link to the wiring you use for 12 & 240 volt please? Cheers Tony 👍
The 240 is from B&Q it weather proof just in case 😂 and the 12v is 2mm twin
Thanks for that Shaun , I struggle to get my head around electrics 😂
Congratulations mate
Thanks!
Happy fatherhood, Shaun.
How about getting a sticker that says, "The only tool in this van is the guy who owns it"?
Thanks
Thank you
Looking back at this video.... after having had builder at my properties... is dented body work on the vans, and non of them have had a wash and polish in years (and no alloys)

I'd personally put a torque wrench on those seat bolts for peace of mind but other than that... "Ansum job pard"!
Good advice

Congratulations Again, great job on the seat solution, do you think you will you need to make any amendments to the DVLA vehicle registration from 3 seats to 2 ?
It’s always worth contacting the dvla when you make any modifications
Great vid as always👍🏻 But just a thought won't the airbag be on the wrong side now?
I did check that and apparently the airbags on these vans aren’t in the seats
You have probably thought of this - but instead of fake sign writing why not sell the space as advertising space? Make a few $ as you travel .. congrats on the new bubs
Yeah I'm not sure about the work theme when you have cameras round the out side ladders on top that tells me there's tools in side but what do I know lol
The asbestos removal sign might frighten thieves off. Maybe liquid sewage transportation would have more off putting - Shaun's Sh1t Shifters.
U will need to inform ur insurance and dvla with the seat mod
Great!
Buy a drivers seat from a left hand drive van, something from France, Spain, etc.
I think that’s easier said than done
No need for an expensive swivel seat , perfect solution.
Don’t forget to put a sign on the van. No tools left in here over night. Or you both might get a shock.
Now that you have a baby youll be needing that 3rd seat for the baby chair. So i expect you will be refitting the double passenger seat - hope u didnt throw it away : )

Around £500
