I would love to know the legality of registering your driving licence, log book, insurance, bank account, HMRC, etc etc at an address you don’t actually live at. Questions? For example if the person who is allowing you to use their address is a single occupant, does that invalidate their single person council tax discount? If you go through a camera speed trap, and you are unaware, unbeknownst to you, fine gets sent to the person who’s letting you use their address? Same for parking fines? Apologies for being picky but I can’t be the only one wondering about this, and what if you don’t have a friend or family member you can ask. Safe travels.
lets answer that for you: 1: Post office provide a free service called Post Restante. They will send your mail to a nearby post office at no charge 2: Insurance, there are a number of insurers who specialise in this and are often cheaper as your in you van. 3. DVLA give them your Post Restante details. The £1000 fine is for not updating your correct details, using a Post Restante address means you are reachable by Mail to receive things such as speeding tickets new licenses vehicle documents. I’ve already checked with DVLA regarding this. HMRC, again use the post office service, majority of the time HMRC will contact you by email. Banking majority of the time its done on your phone and who has paper statements🤷🏽 Where there’s a problem, there’s a solution
Emma here, I can see a couple of people have already responded to your question but I would like to also answer, firstly the above situation you have written out doesn’t apply to us, but for someone who it does apply to, if they are registered at a single persons home and it has an effect on their council tax etc surely that person would offer to help out with the bills? And if they are helping out with bills etc would they not be contributing to said household ? Just my own thoughts on this as I would not want to put another person in that position, we do not rely on anyone else for this and have found other ways for our legal documents which are legal and not involving anyone else financially, as already stated by other people there are other ways that aren’t conventional for people without bricks and mortar to do this the correct way! And in no way am I having a go at your for your question but genuinely can’t answer other than to give my thoughts on it
@@UrbanVanlife my question was a general one regarding the legal situation of a person using a residential address that they don’t actually live at, regardless of whether they contribute financially to the property, and not specifically directed at your situation. . And to the other response, at no time did I suggest that homeless people should be arrested because ‘they can’t afford the address’, whatever that means.
I understand your question but we can’t answer a question that doesn’t apply to us so wouldn’t know what the answer was, and that’s why I gave my thoughts on it, but if someone is paying for a bill at someone’s house and contributing why would they not have a right to have their documents sent there? I know people who work away 11 months out of the year and still have all their documents at their parents house so in theory would those legal issues you raised not also apply to them as they don’t actually live at their parents house and they do not contribute financially and only come back to England for holidays to see family.
Another tip is, if you need warm water to wash plates or your hands, put a bit of water in the hot empty kettle after you've used the boiler water. Its still hot inside to warm up water. Edit: boiled not boiler
Great video about van life. May be buy a 2L kettle and a 1.9L to 2L Thermos this works great for me. I have been doing this for over 2 years now. I use a British No12 Army stove that costs £2.00 to fill with paraffin. I can boil my kettle about 16 time it's mint.
For those subscribers who have never met this lovely couple (I did only for a few minutes at a vanlife festival). I can attest to just how lovely and genuine they are. I am full time vanlife (wasn’t at the time), and was kind of pushed in to it by a greedy landlord. The advice they give is honest, genuine and from the heart. They’re very much worth a subscribe if you have ent already (it’s FREE after all)… Great vid guys.
This is probably one of the nicest comments we have had and we do get some amazing and lovely comments from the people who watch and who we have met and spoken to long the way, so thank you so so much it means a lot 🐾❤️🐾❤️
I've been in my van for over two years. First thing I did was build up a financial nest egg just incase of breakdown etc. Put it away and leave it there.
I know parking can end up stressfull. I once pulled over for a couple of hours in an open area surrounded by fiieds and the house quarter of a mile down the road called the police. They where ok when i said i wasnt staying there. But like you both say, Parking can be an headache.
Great honest advise with no drama involved, Love watching you pair, always a laugh in there somewhere and so down to earth. We are thinking of going full time and have already thought about storage unit but never thought about the other places you mentioned . Keep them coming guys and safe travels.👍
That was BRILLIANT. I lived in my MotorHome for over 8 years now and like you both I would never go back. I have to say I do work in winter and used the beautiful car park in the countryside where I work, So I do have income. I need to work as I am a GADGET freak. I am not handy like Neal but being in touch with gadgets I don't need solar panels even though I do have two but they where there before the GIANT simple game changer in electricity. Like Neal said you save money not living in a house. I am a big fan of EcoFlow lots pf people say there is better out there but that is choice. All my Van runs on is EcoFlow and LPG I could just live on EcoFlow. Few years back I paid £3600 for the EcoFlow Delta (3600W) Recently EcoFlow brought out the massive game changer Alternator. I fitted it myself in 30 minutes and wow amazing. Ive been after the likes of that red tap adapter for years so thanks guys oops and Doll for that. Ray K UK YNWA.
What a lovely comment Ray, and yes we have a gadget freak in our van too so having an income is still important for us too!! Eco flow do have some amazing products in the market that really do help make vanlife easier!!
Van life community - I’ve always wondered, especially for those who are UK based… how do you control damp, especially in the winter? Do you need dehumidifiers? Also, I really enjoyed this video, your style is very down to earth and I appreciate that! Thank you 🙏
There are loads of different things you can do to combat damp, you will always get condensation unless the temperature outside your van/motorhome is the exact same as the inside, also humans realise something like a litre of water daily on average when breathing also always going to get moisture. Some people use dehumidifier’s, there are the bags you can buy cheap, some people use clean cat litter in socks, others use karcher window vacs, also having windows open helps with ventilation even just a small bit.
Just received the kettle you recommended. Absolutely spot on, feels like great solid quality, ( not a thin plasticky job ) perfect size, indicator light a nice touch, boiled a mug of water in 2m 12 seconds and never even tickled my batteries. Cable tidy base a great idea . Gas whistley kettle demoted 👍😊 Great info in the video. Thank you so much .
Folks I’ve watched your vlogs over the past couple of years and I have to say you never fail to impress me. You are so down to earth and oh so knowledgeable and bless you for passing that knowledge on. I’m not a full vanlifer but have a ‘senior’ Motorhome but many of your tips are a great source of help for me. So thank you and keep up the good work.
Hey there lovely people. Like to ask you a question, have you got a high top? I can’t always quite tell my van is suffering badly with condensation in the back of the van above the back doors. I’ve tried loads of different ways and I’m still not getting any success. This is my first high top van and I’ve never had an issue before so I’m wondering if it is because it’s a high top van that they had more issues than a lot of van if that makes sense
We have 120 ltrs which we have figured out if we both get 2 long showers and daily use it lasts 3 days . We can push it to 5 with shorter showers but that’s no fun

Would this Breville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser | 2.0L with 3kW Fast Boil & Variable Dispense | Energy-efficient use | Gloss Black [VKJ318] Be better for kettle?
Hi there Guys, great video, lots of useful info, I'm a newbie to this and have a question, I have ordered one of the 600w kettle's you featured, how long does it take to boil via your power station? I'm thinking of getting a jackery explorer 1000 to replace the old lead acid leisure batteries in my new to me Autosleeper Sussex campervan, is the jackery suitable for the kettle and will it run the 12v systems on board sufficiently? Obviously I'll have it charging via the alternator whilst driving and might consider investing in some solar panels etc. Thanks in advance. Kind regards, John.
Hi ya John, it takes about 4/5 minutes to boil off a power bank however we would consider an eco flow over a jackery as the lithium they use is a better grade than in a jackery, also with regards to your 12 volt system and running it fully it depends on your power usage, you would need to work out what you need and if it’s sustainable so Create a list of all the electrical items you will use each day. Find out how many amps they use x by number of hours per day. Add it all up that gives you Amp hours per day you need. Then look at how much you will draw and how many days you want to be off grid. Hope this helps
Neil loves that light 😂😂 We have a few family members between us who have had hip surgery and it’s given them a new lease of life, we hope all goes well and wish you an extremely speedy recovery ♥️♥️
No we aren’t from Australia we are from the UK we have touched lucky so far with the weather on our travels although we have had our fair share of rain too!
Hi both after watching the video I downloaded the Horizon app. we have tried to use it but it says only large 4x4 any ideas on what I’m doing wrong thanks loving the videos🤔🤪
Hi Neil and Emma. Hope u are well. We're using our ex Sainsbury van conversion this season, just got liquid moly 4200 5w30 oil. It's mega, very smooth, quiet. We've been full time in our motorhome for 14 months, over in Ireland at the moment and only had drama once when some scrotes disturbed us at 3am. Like you, it's the best thing we ever did, especially on alfresco days 😂
@@UrbanVanlife ❤️🤘 it was Neil's ears that caught my attention at first 🤭 then by the time we'd passed I thought " I recognise that bloke... " I'd never have found you again to say a quick hi if I'd managed to park . Hope you had a good time 🤞❤️
Hi!!!! Love your content :) I wonder if you guys are having trouble with the humidity, I want to convert one too, but we also have a lot of rain in the Netherlands. I'm so afraid of mold. How are you doing so far?
Hello, we get a lot of rain in the UK too!!! No issues so far, we get a bit of condensation from time to time but that will always happen with the difference in temperature from inside to outside, we have a karcher window vac which works a treat for that but there are other ways, we sometimes leave a window open a small fraction to let air through, and the max air fans too, some people use cat litter in socks or dehumidifier’s for condensation but for us the karcher does the job and the window trick is great too!
@@UrbanVanlife you are doing a great job & I really appreciate it while I wait in the wings for NHS to fix me & then I can get out on the road too. Teny x
a great and honest video guys, filled with valuable advice based on your experience. Unlike loads who make vanlife look like its powered by unicorn wings. Another thing folk need to think about if people do think of getting someone to build theirs is to "DO YOUR HOMEWORK" and dont end up like I did as you guys know. Getting a CON-verter to rip you off and do a bad job. BTW..... that Kettle is brilliant. Viv has one just like it and I love mine. Neil, nearly choked at you geeking out on a transformer light that didn't behave🤣. Great video guys. Keep them coming. Much respect as always🙏-Kenny
Really insightful - every time we go away for more than a few week I always get into the flow of it and fancy doing a long stint in the van, definitely one we’re considering for the future, really appreciate the insight as a couple of things there I wouldn’t have thought of. Fancy doing a van build from scratch before longer term as modding a manufactured van is ok, but still have the desire to do my own like you guys have done, imaging it gives a real sense of achievement. All the very best, David 👍
Correct there is a sense of achievement when you stand back and look at the work you have put in, and there are also days where you sit somewhere pretty with a cuppa and realise it was worth the hard work too, and that you just know it’s where you are supposed to be right now! We know not everyone is confident in build skills but for us it has been the right path! And even for people’s who aren’t full time we would encourage just getting out more and seeing what the world has to offer!
We have a family’s address we use and also stay there when we visit back to Liverpool and have some of our things there as well . You also need it for banks and things like that and . Which is kind of a pain but it is what it is
@@UrbanVanlife is it same for van insurance or do they have policies for full timers? Sorry for questions but they don't usually address these issues especially when full time.
IG and UA-cam make vanlife look so luxurious and fun, and that's not always the case. It's also what state or country you live that also makes a difference too, U.S. doesn't have an outdoor laundry service, that is interesting to see.
It’s not all glamour and like everything you have good days and bad days and things pop up that are unexpected, what do you have over in the states is it just laundromat’s? And yes different states/country’s can make vanlife very different!!
10:28 you are most definitely *_not_* working your van to the maximum! You might be fully loaded but you're not thrashing the daylights out of it! These vans are designed for 100, maybe 200 miles every day, engine stop & start 50, maybe 70 times, for 5, 6, sometimes 7 days a week, every week (sometimes for each of 2 or 3 drivers) & that means the throttle has 2 positions - off or mashed into the floor, brakes similar, the gearbox crashed through the gears, steering hard enough to tilt the van 20° with the load smashing against the walls! They're not all driven like that but it's what they're built to cope with, I doubt you use full throttle once on every journey & certainly not all the way from it's morning cold start till it's stopped for the night.
Neil and Emma another brilliant video Question if I may Would you consider fitting one of those re circulating filtering showers , I seen someone on UA-cam with one ?
I seem to have quite a lot of issues with Revolut washing machines, though I go onto the app and get the phone number and they give me a full refund if my washing is not as I expected to be when I go to Portugal to be on my land, I find it where are use the washing machines out there. They are so much cleaner and they seem to be a lot cheaper as well. Problem with Van Life is finding somewhere where I can let my dogs run free or even on the lead. I like a nice big grass area as my dogs need a lot of exercise, but unfortunately a couple of places that I used to use now have height barriers and it really gets to me yes 100% go with your gut instinct. If you don’t feel comfortable get the hell out of there I’ve done several times. Take care great video and great information. ❤😊
Well done guys, very sensible and informative video especially about a “lockup” for storage. We’ve been van life-ing for over 10 years now and still going strong. Helps if you’re retired though😜
It was Ripon McDonald’s but we aren’t normally around the area, but we had booked in to get a wheel alignment done on route as we where travelling to a friends wedding.
Loving the tips. I’ve had a dinky travel kettle for about 20 years and it’s great but now it only fills one and a half of our Yeti cups 😂 love the light so versatile. If you park sensibly and don’t push your luck then you shouldn’t get a knock. If it doesn’t feel right you just move simples. Loving the vlogs they proper make me belly laugh.
Ok first time I watched your channel. Lots of enjoyable content and useful info for somebody considering starting van life. But a special request for trousers
Great video! I'd say though that 'knock' is not out of the ordinary. We actually got a knock like on our 2nd day on our 2nd trip! I mean, the Cops where ok / fine with us.... but they stated we were allowed to hang around, but could not sleep in the vehicule. In the end, If you go somewhere, make sure you know the rules about that city / area.
If you want to park anywhere you want for as long as you want, there are unscrupulous individuals that alter their number plates. An F becomes an E for example. An anonymous motor cycle journalist removed his number plate altogether and rode undetected for 18 months. Failure to display is not an endorsable offence. “Sorry it must have fallen off officer.” Or, my favourite. “I’m glad you stopped me officer, it gives me opportunity to report the theft of my number plate.”
I always thought emptying the chem toilet would be the biggest issue but actually very easy. every town has a public loo somewhere! my biggest problem is always getting fresh water without using campsites. I long for a more comprehensive app for public taps in the UK as they always include water fountains which are as much use as a chocolate fireguard. you drive for ages and find a drinking water fountain Aarrrggghhh!
Hi guy's 👍🏻 a tip for your subscribers and maybe you 👍🏻. We bought the back end of an argos lorry 🤣 8 foot wide 10 feet high and 36 foot long all water tight £900, much, much cheaper than a shipping container, painted it and we now keep it on an industrial est £400 a year again much cheaper than self storage. We have racked half out for our tools, clothes etc from our old house and the other half both Beck and I have a work station on one side and settee on the other 🤣 it's like a little flat 🤣. Also as it's an industrial estate so nobody bats an eye when we go there to service our van (stuff everywhere 🤣) or work on the van and stop overnight. We also have the option of selling the trailor if we ever went back to a house (not happening 🤣👍🏻). The trailor has now paid for itself over the last 3 year's on what we have saved on self storage as at the very beginning of van life we to had a self storage unit at £120 a month 🤮 and it wasn't as big as our trailor . We hope this helps anyone out 👍🏻, a great video 👏👏👏👏👍🏻 safe travels sending love, peace and good energy ❤️🙏🏻

This is sooo true what your both saying you both know more than any one about vanning life your doing it for real when we bought our motor home we didn’t think of the extra expense. We had 2 cars at time plus the motor home I recently sold my 15 plate minibus and with some cash and getting having being in an accident the little car was wrote off so now we have a main car which is only 5 years old plus motor home this was the only way it was possible to keep the running of the motor home costs with the hab checks yearly, servicing costs to both vehicles and wear and tear but we love our mollie and wouldn’t have it any other way we love getting out in her but it’s far from cheap this year was can belt water pump , service new break pads and full set of tyres as there was cracking quite bad on the walls of the tyres wasn’t until I read the year of manufacture they had been on there since new in 2015 so was well over due. But all these costs are not cheap new set of tyres was £800 admittedly we went for better tyres not budget tyres but wanted half decent ones keep up good work guys 👍🏽
Yep the costs soon add up which is why we try and do little bits at a time regularly to keep on top of maintance as there’s always unexpected extras too that pop up as we have found 😂😂
Hello we truly full time, sold up years ago. A few things great tap connector. There are many outlets now for Lpg outlets. Obviously many more in Europe. As for true fulltime insurance, the only company that supplies this is Comfort insurance. They will pay up if a claim is made. We have refillable gas plus 700 watts of solar, 2x 135 amps of lithium batteries and a b to b. A victron 1600 watt inverter /charger.
700 watts of solar 😀 we are thinking of changing our panels out as there are better ones on the market since we fitted ours! On the lpg we had had a few places we used to go to stop selling it and when we where down south there was a similar issue but we did find somewhere eventually, but we have heard there’s more in Europe can’t wait to get over there and explore!
I’ve had to chuckle at myself watching from the U.S. wondering why I’m watching a van life video focusing on across the pond. Within 10 minutes, I had toggled over to Amazon to order the tap adapter and the chalk pens. However, the public washer and dryers baffled me. They look like they’re on the side of the road. Can you explain?
Some of them are on the side of the road and some are at supermarkets, service stations and garage’s (gas stations) they are handy for if you need wash and dry on the go, but not always looked after properly so have to check they are working, not full of animal hairs etc
We spoke about that in a previous video, we can both work from the van so that isn’t an issue for us, but we didn’t want to repeat ourselves as we have already spoken about it more than once

Great video about van life. May be buy a 2L kettle and a 1.9L to 2L Thermos this works great for me. I have been doing this for over 2 years now. I use a British No12 Army stove that costs £2.00 to fill with paraffin. I can boil my kettle about 16 time it's mint.
Great tip for people thank you 🤩
@@UrbanVanlife Your welcome. About 128 hot cups of coffee for £2.00 pound that's mint. Things we have to do in. Rip off Britain today.

They’re very much worth a subscribe if you have ent already (it’s FREE after all)…
Great vid guys.
This is probably one of the nicest comments we have had and we do get some amazing and lovely comments from the people who watch and who we have met and spoken to long the way, so thank you so so much it means a lot 🐾❤️🐾❤️
@@UrbanVanlife I’m autistic and say it as I see it. Your a lovely honest as the day is long couple.
I've been in my van for over two years. First thing I did was build up a financial nest egg just incase of breakdown etc. Put it away and leave it there.
We would both say that it’s got to be the most Inportant thing .
@UrbanVanlife definitely. Took my about 6mths and I was bricking it until I felt comfy.
Also have a sinking fund for having to buy a new vehicle. They do not last forever. It could be used as a deposit if circumstances change.
Sorry, I became distracted at 6:33 with your pup stuck in the sofa doing doggy yoga 🤣

UA-cam algorithm suggested your video. You both are fun to watch, earned a sub from me!! Nice to run across a van life channel with some humor.
Welcome aboard! And thank you for the kind comment ♥️
I know parking can end up stressfull. I once pulled over for a couple of hours in an open area surrounded by fiieds and the house quarter of a mile down the road called the police. They where ok when i said i wasnt staying there. But like you both say, Parking can be an headache.
Always have to have a backup plan, shame the people from the house that far away called the police on you, people are so judgemental these days 😢

Thank you so much for the kind words, we do try and stay away from drama even when things go wrong … which they do, but that’s just part of life 😂😂😂
Great videos, could you tell me where you bought your hosepipe tap adapter….the large one to fit multiple taps …thank you
All the links are in the description buddy we got them off Amazon
How many times have you used the, open for business spicy light?

Your enthusiasm alone has made me want one of those lamps. Great info in this video.
He does love his lights 😂😂
Just received the kettle you recommended. Absolutely spot on, feels like great solid quality, ( not a thin plasticky job ) perfect size, indicator light a nice touch, boiled a mug of water in 2m 12 seconds and never even tickled my batteries. Cable tidy base a great idea . Gas whistley kettle demoted 👍😊 Great info in the video. Thank you so much .
Totaly forgot to mention about the cable tidy . But it’s a great little
Product isn’t it .
Thank you so much for this lovely comment, it genuinely means so much ♥️♥️
Thanks guys for sharing this video very informative
Hey there lovely people. Like to ask you a question, have you got a high top? I can’t always quite tell my van is suffering badly with condensation in the back of the van above the back doors. I’ve tried loads of different ways and I’m still not getting any success. This is my first high top van and I’ve never had an issue before so I’m wondering if it is because it’s a high top van that they had more issues than a lot of van if that makes sense
How many litres of water do you store...xxx
We have 120 ltrs which we have figured out if we both get 2 long showers and daily use it lasts 3 days . We can push it to 5 with shorter showers but that’s no fun
Is vanlife really sustainable/comfortable in the winter or do you just head off to spain/portugal?
Well this will be our first winter full time, only done a few weeks here and there before in winter so we will soon find out 😂😂
Dry erasers can write on the windshield and easily remove .
Straight to the point and honest. That's why I subbed.👌
Thank you, much appreciated ♥️
I always think about the cold weather when you're living in a van, do you drive to places that are warmer in the winter?
A lot of people do, we don’t actually mind the cold as we are well insulated and have good heating but we just don’t like the rain 😂😂😂

Would this Breville HotCup Hot Water Dispenser | 2.0L with 3kW Fast Boil & Variable Dispense | Energy-efficient use | Gloss Black [VKJ318]
Be better for kettle?
If it’s 3000 watts then it’s not a low power item so for us not better than a 600 watt kettle as we would use a lot more power when using it.
3KW is 300 Amps off the battery, that's a big chunk of power even if it's only on for 2 minutes! (& a bigger & more expensive inverter).
@alanhat5252 thank you!
@UrbanVanlife oh I see ok thank you
Hi there Guys, great video, lots of useful info, I'm a newbie to this and have a question, I have ordered one of the 600w kettle's you featured, how long does it take to boil via your power station?
I'm thinking of getting a jackery explorer 1000 to replace the old lead acid leisure batteries in my new to me Autosleeper Sussex campervan, is the jackery suitable for the kettle and will it run the 12v systems on board sufficiently?
Obviously I'll have it charging via the alternator whilst driving and might consider investing in some solar panels etc.
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
John.

Hi!!!! Love your content :)
I wonder if you guys are having trouble with the humidity, I want to convert one too, but we also have a lot of rain in the Netherlands.
@@UrbanVanlife that sounds good! DO you have an airco in the van? That will put out the humidity also I believe?
No we don’t but we do have a portable ecoflow one

Great tip!!
a great and honest video guys, filled with valuable advice based on your experience.

Ps love the vids.
I was about to say the same thing. Hull Fruit market is nice to walk round on a sunny day. I've got a vid I did on here showing off the city
Thanks for all the information!
Any time! 😃
Not too easy for dental treatment or doctors unless you're registered?

Neil and Emma another brilliant video
Question if I may
Would you consider fitting one of those re circulating filtering showers , I seen someone on UA-cam with one ?
We have looked at it and for us it’s not an option due to storage space but they are a great bit of kit and Emma did want one 😂
Cracking video and wonderfully informative. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Was very enjoyable and interesting to watch. Cheers.
Glad you enjoyed it thank you 🙏
I seem to have quite a lot of issues with Revolut washing machines, though I go onto the app and get the phone number and they give me a full refund if my washing is not as I expected to be when I go to Portugal to be on my land, I find it where are use the washing machines out there. ❤😊
Thank you so much, and agreed it can be hard sometimes finding a place for the dogs to run free, we like them to have a good run and play!!

Well done guys, very sensible and informative video especially about a “lockup” for storage. We’ve been van life-ing for over 10 years now and still going strong. Helps if you’re retired though😜
Living the dream there! 10 years is amazing we still in the honeymoon phase 😂😂
5:01 i might be wrong but that looks very much like Ripon McDonald's - might have seen you out and about if you're in that neck of the woods often :)
Thank you so much, a lot of parking up is down to common sense and trusting your gut!
Ok first time I watched your channel. Lots of enjoyable content and useful info for somebody considering starting van life. But a special request for trousers
Emma here, thanks for the comment do you not like my leggings? I have different colours if that’s better?
@@UrbanVanlife hahaha you look good. Thoroughly jealous of the mule hat. Maybe someone else should have trousers
We have a micro camper! for weeks away and day trips. But I love my home too 😊
That is awesome!
Great advise at the end there, everyone should do some research into where they are going and what the rules are!!

If you're not good at planning and budgeting, this lifestyle can financially ruin you! Just a warning to those thinking they're going to save money automatically by leaving their apartment behind.

@@UrbanVanlife Thank you. And, drum roll please . . . I ordered the light, too. 🤦♀️

I know some people are able to do the working from home so then it wouldn't be an issue.
We spoke about that in a previous video, we can both work from the van so that isn’t an issue for us, but we didn’t want to repeat ourselves as we have already spoken about it more than once
