45596 - The Great Britain XV - Day 2 - 16.4.23

The second day of the Railway Touring Company's 'Great Britain' tour saw Jubilee class No.45596 'Bahamas' take the train from Bristol to Holyhead via Chester. On a dull day with occasional drizzle the Jubilee is seen between Gobowen and Weston Rhyn and then climbing away from Rhosymedre near Ruabon and finally at Northgate Locks, Chester.

Very good filming: in 2022 from Australia, I used Ruabon station as connection for Arriva bus to and from Llangollen for that eponymous railway. Also visited Chester by rail.
Great to see 'Bahamas' operating without a diesel at the rear.
