Saddened, but not surprised, to hear these rattling already- just a massive shame that build quality of new buses just doesn't seem to be at all decent, wether in minibuses or full sized vehicles! Still, a great video and comprehensive review on some rather important buses for West Yorkshire!
Very good review of the buses, routes and the idea behind using minibuses. I’ll have to give them (and the routes) a try, but I think a sear on the near side with a forward view would be my preference.
Nice to see these six new buses have 24 seats plus 3 fold-up seats or wheelchair/pushchair space. I'm still sad to see the five Optare Solo 15 plates which left Halifax a while ago (plus the ill fated sixth YJ15 AXG which was lost during the Elland depot fire in 2015). These just about make up for them.
Team Pennine forgot to mention that they are on the 546 as well. Also I think service 574 may get Tempos in future or perhaps recieve it's own brand like Mavellous Midgley or something like that.
They were rattly on the first day, bit it seems that they have become less rattly through the week and the doors have been working quicker. Also the announcements have been upgraded.
It's not actually the rattles it is the roads. They rattled just as much with the Optare Solos however the engines on them were too loud to hear the rattles but you could still feel them.
Brand spanking new buses, already squeaking and rattling...Still attractive and good looking, nice pieces of kit and a worthwhile investment, but squeaky new buses shouldn't be the norm!

Afternoon Alex & co .

It's kind of like the airline 60 in Keighley but for Halifax with next stop announcement
Love these buses. Ideal for rural services. And no rear radiator that doesn't get enough air . Well done mellor
I regret hating on this German Japanese beauties! These little Sprinters are bloody good for front engines! Sounds like a mini E400 MMC
I ride these every day as 561/562/586/587 are all my locals. I get a mixture of buses like a First bus, Enviro 200 MMCs or Mellors.
The bread van is back!
Can't wait for the little hotline vid
yes they actually do have ventura doors

If I remember correctly these Mellor Strata Merc’s feature a 2.1 diesel which is found in your E220D’s amongst other things
Correct same OM646/651 blocks as the older 220Ds
The Bristol reg is unusual. Also these buses are quite fast so I have noticed we stop at a lot of bus stops to keep up the time.

A 900/901/902 and a 586 bus route review would be great.
they should try a streetlite up the hill
These are a lot better than the Wrightbus Streetlites
Aye they do serve a different purpose to them and are rather more cost effective

Aye I think they are slowly ironing out and initial issues
Nice
Great video
this thing is DAMN pretty
I think we need to collab something before Christmas 😉
I did a trip on the 561 they are ok buses but they rattle so much they are just over a week old!!!
Funny to have a W reg
Despite them being not the best looking and having lots of rattles, they are nice mini-buses

@@YorksLancsTransportHub It's rattles pal trust me I've been on 4
@@sonicthehedgehog2121 The Optares were just as rattly though on the same routes you felt them but couldn't here them.
I would say CC71 sounds better but yh they don't seem too bad from how they look on the outside bad.
It was a registered Bristol Regs.

We have one of these mini buses on one of our local routes. It's an awful bus - very uncomfortable/bouncy ride.
They don’t half rattle
Stratas > Solos
change my mind
Can you play ROBLOX
