I believe because they had become too unreliable bus 212 had been off the road for awhile and Lothian buses wanted to convert them to diesel hybrids and I think 🤔 easy Yorkshire who at the time specialised in converting E400s to diesel so they converted 212 and showed Lothian how to do it themselves I personally think 🤔 it helped as made them faster but Lothian didn’t like the upgrade and I think 2018 or 2019 they were fully withdrawn and all sold good to see them in regular use again as they been sitting for months in storage at marine depot in their car park 🅿️ Lothian have now moved back towards ADL but using Volvo engines instead of Cummins

That's actually weird to hear it sound like an E200 with a ZF gearbox compared to a normal E400 😂😂 Also, I'm wondering why they didn't keep it as hybrid

There 6 there at moment but another 24 is coming a total of 30 newish 72 mmc400 coming to arriva Yorkshire as leicester will get all of your old arriva max enviro400 until all electric buses arrived at arriva midland and arriva max enviro400 will be scrapped

I remember belle isle getting optare spectra’s fitted with that announcement system.The 110’s was on my rota you could bank on having cash in twice if you had two pieces of shift on them.I now drive trucks that are mirrorless still prefer having mirrors.

The contrast between First Bus and Stagecoach is massive First are such a better company and much nice livery better organised and take care in their fleet and the best engineering of any company in UK (deep on depot I’ve found though) But interior wise and design wise they are miles ahead

Scanias are so good to drive so much raw power even the zf eco box can’t hold them back Such a joy to drive and the best suspense any bus Beautiful comfy cab areas I was L ways torn between Volvos and Scania but lately I think Scania are better but Volvos are more fun to drive and sound so much better

And as for the 36s, I'll be interested to see what your thoughts on them are, I did a review a few weeks back now and overall I was impressed even if there are some niggles.

Good to see the ex Leicester buses improving what was a tatty old fleet in Yorkshire. When I did my bus challenges last year Arriva up north was my worst part of all the buses I took. Nice to see that Leicester logo too!

Awesome video bro, you absolutely rock I love the effort and information u put into ur videos it really helps ppl trying to understand buses more. keep up ur channel u have came so far! 4:40 i also noticed this, very odd 5:35 I like the deep tone of the exhaust on these, they dont have the usual moan u hear cummins engines making on buses, that moan is caused by whats called a hydraulic steering pump which uses the engines power to make steering easier for the driver. these e400mmcs have whats called a electric steering pump which is driven by electricity and u can usually hear it by the front, it makes this whine noise and it stays on the same pitch throughout the bus running 8:35 thats actaully sick uno

Arriva Yorkshire have done very similar to what stagecoach East Midlands (Skegness) have done. Stagecoach Skegness have recently had some 73 plate MMC transferred from Manchester which is a big welcome for the fleet. First decent upgrade in years for skeggy. These MMC are nice buses. They look very smart in arriva spec

Nice video mate, i went down Yorkshire about a month ago now but these weren't there, feel like they're a nice touch considering Wakefield did seem kinda dull on the bus variety apart from obviously 2578 and the remaining old E200s which are worth a go but besides that it was a decent place, these buses are probably going to enhance the service around there now considering when I was there, there was one of the 110 branded Streetdecks on the Pontefract Line, anyway, nice video
