  • Hi guys, true story: I heard about using apple cider vinegar a few years back from a colleague who knew a few things about human dreadlocks and suggested that it may work to provide deep cleaning on corded breeds, like a Puli. I put it out of my mind until I ran into Barkling Cider from Natures Specialties - and everything clicked! I can finally put into practice advice that was told to me years ago by someone who would know, and then implement it knowing that I am using a product from a very well-known and respected manufacturer, Nature's Specialties.
Now this may look and sound like a sales pitch, but we are not making any commission or receiving any benefit from testing out how this product works. I was truly excited to see how this shampoo worked for this corded breed and watch for yourself - it is really impressive! Thanks so much for watching and let us know if you have any questions!

Omg! That looks like a lot of work.. but it's good that his owner takes good care of him and brings him to you to be well taken care of :) Thx for sharing. Interesting 👍🏻

Thank you so much for your kind comment! Corded dogs are definitely a lot of work (which is probably one of the reasons they are rare and thus often misunderstood), but as a groomer, I am honored to work with such an interesting and special coat. Really appreciate your feedback! 😍

Wow I had no idea this kind of breed even existed. Thanks for sharing and good for you doing all that work! He looks like a very sweet dog too. Gosh, can you imagine if he wasn't?

Lol, good point! I think short puppy cut would be in his future if he was bad for grooming! 😅 Aw, thanks for recognizing the work. I get some shade from the world when I post about corded breeds because they are rare and misunderstood - but Ziggy is a happy old boy and he is worth the work! 🐾 Thanks so much for watching!

Hi Carol! I've been working on Pulik for over a decade, and although visually those cords seem like a burden, they are light as air. The cords occur naturally and are meant to protect the breed from the elements. You are so sweet - but I assure you he is a happy boy (once his grooming is done!) 😅 Thanks for your comment!

How long does it take for Ziggy to fully dry?

Hi Kelly! After towel drying (takes about 7 towels that end up heavy with water), the air drying takes about 2 hours. My power drag on a Ziggy day is definitely outside of the norm! 🤪 Thanks so much for your interest!
