I've overclocked my monitor to support Nvidiamd Zsyncfire. I no longer have to worry about screen tearing or FPS loss while mining headshots in PUBG. Best thing is, I can now use my 8600GT and Radeon 128 Pro together for a true 16K experience. I've underclocked the GPUs to keep my computer case from going super saiyan.
deadeyecowkillz02 Yes, it is too loud for headphones (I use a decent one) but wether or not it is a problem depends on what you was listening before that. Unfortunately there is no such thing as normalised sound in Windows and mediaformats. Suppose that you just listened to someone who used a bloody laptopmic (don't do that!) and then put on this you are fucked. However, better a bit too soft than a bit too loud. Listen back to it, if you can hear it fine with decent speakers at 50% volume or something like that then the volume should be loud enough. People who can't hear it then realy should use something better to listen with, for their own sake.
Dang win 10 makes it hard to delete that folder you have to take owner ship and command prompt. No longer can we spread delete system 32 for free performance lol
I just counted my tabs and I got 63 over 3 monitors using 74% of my ram, I will admit they range from politics to Ubuntu and I could probably close most of them but I see a few videos I want to watch in the recommended of one video and open say 5 then basically repeat :/
all of them are worth it i mean 7.1 surround is amazing and i notice a considerable difference on my Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire vs my membrane on typing and doing actions within a game
I find 7.1 very annoying in my personal experience, so I just use stereo or HRTF in games. Mechanical keyboards are a definite must for me. The only peripheral I could miss is actually my mouse, I use a Logitech G430 Prodigy Wireless and it's fantastic but I can use pretty much any mouse.
In my opinion mechanical keyboards are a waste of money and other than being more durable the rest is all downhill compared to the membrane. (i returned my mechanical keyboard after 3 days, it was so expensive). Mouse wise I own a Steelseries Rival fnatic edition and its amazing how confortable it is, but a 30€ mouse would just do the same since i only use 700dpi. A good pair of headphones is a must have, i've gottem 3 +-50€ headphones and they always give problems, sound quality, durability and after a few hours they get so unconfortable, i now own kingston hyper X and it was the best deal by far. its all about opinions and experiences.
Quacker Crackers deathadder chroma team liquid edition, razer blackwidow x chroma tournament edition, looking to get a razer mamba chroma tournament edition to match keyboard
Azuris Lunin If you are really competitive, the Mamba TE sucks because of its laser sensor, but if you just like the pretty lights and don't wanna go pro, then yeah it is awesome.
'You don't need a lot of ram'... lmao i wanted to play pubg with 8gb of ram and the house textures didn't even load... EDIT: stop responding to this comment, i've already upgraded my pc.
StayMinty ye, i know that. Didn't think it would play that horrible though since i can play most new games at 60fps on high graphic settings (also my graphics card is not that horrible)
@@jplayzx01propcoutistudios58 i got fantech keyboard . mechanical support brown and blue switch. Also also costom rgb and also also also there is a built in software that you can download from their website . And its only cost 25$ lol
As a video editor myself, owning two i7's, I can say for sure that no it's not a must. Unless your production workflow is several videos per day, heavy use of 3D compositions or in a job where time really is money, the practical time saving brought by HyperThreading isn't going to add up to much. Add to that that the editing process itself isn't necessarily that CPU intensive and many render operations, editing applications and codec implementations by themselves aren't always optimized to take advantage of eight or more threads. It will speed up some parts for sure.. but lets not kid ourselves that its some sort of night and day difference or that an i5 wouldn't be able to cope with video editing.
A Mechanical keyboard DEFINITELY does have an advantage over membrane ones. When I press a key on my mech keyboard I don't need to have it bottom out to actuate, a membrane one does. This makes for less "input lag" (not really input lag, more or less human ability lag) and higher precision in button presses. Especially in games like Osu!, LoL, DOTA and OverWatch being able to press a key faster and more accurately gives you a great advantage.
No you don't. Mechanical switches actuate based on a tiny connector within the switch that touches the metal part you're pressing down to complete the circuit. In fact: Toper switches can even be set on different actuation distances by software. If a key needs to be bottomed out to actuate it's not a mechanical switch.
Max S once you've used a mechanical keyboard for three days, using a normal keyboard is seriously terrible and nearly impossible for most people to use. got my first mechanical keyboard a few weekends ago, went into school once the weekend was over and actually had issues typing on their keyboards
Max S that's only for the new rgb type heaven one, which is literally the shittiest topre out there, just the signature thoc alone is not worth getting, get a hhkb or realforce, you should not be getting a topre for the adjustable activation point anyways
I have a mechanical keyboard (Razor Orange switches, similar to Cherry MX Brown). Even though it actuates higher up, I still end up bottoming out most of the time.
While I'm not a fan it didn't bother me until it seemed to kick in when he was talking during the part about displays, got to say it became an annoyance at that point.
Having more than 8gb of ram will help you in titles such as gta5 and bf1, since they utilize a lot of system memory, let alone if you have windows 10 with the 2gb consumption
Ypu do need 16gigs of ram, try and play gta v on max, 8 gigs will slow it down and thigs load slow, i had an i76700k and a 1080 with 8gbs of ram, when i played it on ultra thing would load slower, but when i upgraded my ram it solved it all
My friend, you are about to save me a bunch of money. Building up my first ever rig and I’m overwhelmed with all the part and pieces. This helps a lot.
@ARVINDER DHANOA: Gaming keyboards are pretty bad. The typing experience on a varmilo or filco keyboards are miles ahead compared to something like razor or corsair keyboards. But I think gaming headsets are probably the worst "gaming" thing you can buy. There really isn't a good gaming headset/headphone that exists.
Honestly, a high quality mouse is SOOOOO Worth it. As long as you get one with a good sensor, like a death adder, any logitech, or a zowie, youll be good. Honestly, if you want to play competitive games like CSGO id say a (more) expensive mouse is required.
Not many gaming mice have mouse acceleration for this purpose. Most of the time, mouse acceleration is done through software rather than hardware, check Windows settings because the software in Windows also implements mouse acceleration by default.
I'm sorry but you do realize how low DPI the pros play at right? On average they are at 400 dpi with a 2.0 multiplier for an effective 800 dpi on CS:GO.
why the sound quality is not the only thing there is wireless and surround sound both of which appeal to me more and i am using the Corsair Void Wireless Headset and it is amazing
I hardly ever listen to music, but I still bought audiophile headphones for gaming. Gaming headphones are notorious for sounding like shit, focusing instead on bells & whistles like LEDs.
Ypu do need 16gigs of ram, try and play gta v on max, 8 gigs will slow it down and thigs load slow, i had an i76700k and a 1080 with 8gbs of ram, when i played it on ultra thing would load slower, but when i upgraded my ram it solved it all
This is guy is semi right. Companies sell you BS and people.. including myself in the past just eat it up and throw money at them chasing the hardware dragon. ..using excuses fed to them like "I dont want to bottle neck..blah" and "I have to futrueproof" and upgrade for no reason. . It gets to the point where you care about what specs you can brag about instead of being within certain game hardware requirements. Just look at the comments below...PC gamers are just waiting to tell their system specs.
Gobthor lol i would say mechanical keyboards are kind of necessary, they make everything better but razer mechanical keyboards arent necessary, membranes are better.
Yvng Vro i'm saying razer keyboards suck so much that membranes are better. terrible build quality, mediocre switches. only twelve year olds buy them for the super mlg rgb lighting.
Keyboard -> Longevity matters; you're typically paying for quality and feel. Your overall point is correct of course. AIO -> The radiator can fail, fittings can fail, fins can get bent, etc. AIO's are generally very reliable nowadays though; but a high end air cooler is usually superior option for most people.
You are correct that new builders should not buy these things, and invest their money on other components... HOWEVER: You said mechanical keyboards will not increase your performance. This is incorrect. Mechanical (generally) has a much higher refresh rate as well as smaller weight required to press. May seem small, however definitely important. Especially when you can pick up a MXRED one for $30, it's definitely worth the upgrade in a lot of cases. Also, the ultra wide. Ultra wides don't stretch your image from the side, if you were to cover the sides so you were getting the same ratio as regular monitors, you'd find the field of view is the same. Instead of stretching, they expand the image, which can actually be beneficial, and in my opinion, never damning in the slightest. All in all, for you new builders out there, I personally would recommend a cheap mechanical rather than one for the same price that is membrane, it will make a difference. ultra wides are way too expensive, I got mine on black Friday and am glad, however $400, what it usually costs is far too much. CPU point he made is very very valid. don't do it guys. not worth it. Good vid btw.
Vincent Ton: It depends what you're going to do. If you're going to just game, then a i5 will be fine, but if you're going to stream and game at the same time then the i7 is DEFINITELY worth it.
ArcOfSky please show me the air cooler that outperforms the highest end AIOs.. and no, the Noctua NH-D15 doesn't, it equals or very slightly outperforms the ~$100 price segment.
I'd argue the mechanical keyboard helps a lot, my membrane keyboard would always freeze if I clicked more than a couple of keys at once. Even "anti-ghosting" keys didn't help too much. Where as my mechanical keyboard has cured all problems.
No! RGB light in most cases (pun intended) looks stupid and ostentatious. RGB lights are like stickers in the 90's. Overused, totally unnecessary. And you have to pay much more for an rgb enlighted version of pc hardvares like motherboards and gpus, than a non rgb with equivalent specs..
Péter Kiss Some people like them for the Aesthetics, it's like when people put under glow on there car. Sure it is not necessary, but in there oppinion it looks better.
"There isnt going to be a scenario where mechanical keyboard is better than a membrane one" m8 im an osu player you dont even know how mechanical keyboard is important in osu
Perfectly sound. Go for the parts that matter for frame-rates first and only then, as a matter of preference, you can pick the parts that matter less. Good Video!
it all depends on what you are trying to Achieve ... And How you set it up The big benefit is that you can directly exhaust the heat from your CPU or intake Fresh Air From outside the case to cool better ... but AIO's Are very limited and A Custom loop would be much better (And look better to)
Only if you go for an Extreme OC on an AMD, everyone sucks Intel's dick about how cool they run yet they go and spend all their cash in Liquid Cooling...
Brian Gervais There are benchmarks where they push the clock of a CPU further with liquid cooling than with air cooling, that being said, those benchmarks are for extreme overclocking, like pushing a FX-8350 to 5.8 GHZ, the kind of stuff an average user would never do.
Wow, how dumb are you? It was obviously the i7 3770k that was meant. ark.intel.com/products/65523/Intel-Core-i7-3770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz
1. Membrane keyboards put loads of stress on your finger, compared to mechanical keyboards. 2. A headphone for listening music does not include a headset, also senheiser 600 costs $200+ more than the g430, ofcourse it's better. 3. A high dpi can be very advantageous in RTS and RPG. They won't boost the performance of your pc, it will boost your performance.
I disagree with 3,4, and 5 3.we need ram to run our systems and need much more gb of ram to run system much faster. 4.liquid coolers are good for cooling the mobo and other stuff in the case&cpu 5.i7 7700k have 4.5ghz that matters the gaming benchmarks like if you agree
well if you take into account 2nd gen ryzen its does... 2nd gen ryzen has been proven to run faster with more ram and a higher clock speed (like 3000mhz as to the standard 2133 for ddr4)
Honestly, because of the amount of advancements nowadays, i think a mechanical keyboard is necessary, mainly because depending on what switch you get, it can improve your reflexes because of different actuation points which can give you an advantage. Same thing goes for headphones with 7.1 surround sound which can give you an advantage on your enemy’s position in fps games.
I game on Win 10 12gb ram i5 6500 Geforce gtx 750 ti Logitech g230 headset Rat 5 mouse Trust keyboard idk wich one 60hz 1920x1080p screen (idk the size)
+passert ha another person who doesn't understand how to make a good pc first, get a intel xeon locked at 2ghz then get a amd radeon hd 7400 series after that make a case out of iphone chargers plug the potato into the slot and boom! 20fps on csgo low settings!
1. A gaming mouse with multiple DPI settings and a couple extra buttons definitely makes a difference. I don't know if I could play on PC without the two extra buttons on the side of my mouse, and the DPI settings leave for lots of flexibility outside of just in game settings. A good headset is probably something you should definitely have if you're playing online. Don't really need a fancy keyboard, though, as long as it works. 2. If you're turning your head when using an ultrawide monitor, you're sitting too close to your monitor. That said, I agree, you don't need one, but it can't hurt if the game supports it's use. 3. Agreed. RAM only really helps a lot when you're trying to access multiple things at the same time. 8GB is really all one needs as long as it's modern type of RAM. Plus, if you ever need to upgrade, you can always do it. That said, RAM is one of the cheaper and easier ways of upgrading your PC. 4. Agreed. You only need liquid cooling if you're planning on seriously overclocking your gear, of if having an absolutely silent computer is a must. 5. Not 100% true. There are plenty games that are more CPU intensive than GPU intensive. If you can afford it, a recent gen i7 with a high clock speed will certainly help. Also there's something to be said about futureproofing your rig.
I know this video is kinda old, but I can't help myself. 1. Macro butons are very important for games like MOBA, MMO, RTS.The cheapest begin at something like 75$.Is it worth if you are a causal gamer, is personal choise.2.RAM capasity is also more important then you decribe,If your GPU has low VRM capacity. The system will try to "make for it"by using more RAM.Also games started to go beyond 8GB, so 16 GB is actually a must have for 1080p, 60 fps, high settings, ecpacilly if you are with something like 4GB VRM.3.CPU is more important then you decribed.A lot of games are more CPU depended then GPU and reqire high clock speed. So 4gz is actually a must own at this point for high performance.A side note on the cooling.I'm with air cooling, just couldn't bare the risk, becuase I live in a countrty where if a leak hapens, your F***K.But if you need a lot of cooling for overclocking like me and you are gonna go with air, there are almost no choises, but it becomes very case depended aka. you are gonna need a really large case.
I think that having a LOT of RAM is good for the following two tasks: 1. Running a bunch of applications at the same time 2. Using 3D-editing software such as Blender, 3DS Max, or Litewave. About liquid cooling: there ARE some people other than overclocking enthusiasts who actually NEED liquid cooling: those people whose computer rooms get HOT during the summer. In a situation like that, air cooling might not be effective enough to keep your components, especially your GPU, within a safe temperature range. I think that liquid cooling would be ABSOLUTELY justified if your computer room's temperature gets above about 85 degrees F. Of course, if your computer room is getting that hot during summer, then you might want to consider purchasing a window-unit air conditioner for that room... if said room has at least one window, that is. Then again, I think that most windowless computer rooms are in basements anyway; and basements don't tend to get hot in the summer.
I personally disagree on the headphone statement. The headphones are almost as vital as a mouse especially on cs:go or other competitive fps games. You need that surround sound to compete. That extra sense gives you an edge. Good video
My specs are OS: Windows 10 Pro N PSU: Corsair RM1000x SSHD:Seagate Firecuda 2TB 3.5 RAM: 32GB DDR4 HyperX Predator CPU: Intel Core i7-6800K 3.4 GHz GPU: Geforce GTX 1080 Watercooled Overclocked WiFi:Asus Wireless PCE-AC88 Dual-Band Monitors: 2 Philips Brilliance 288P 4k CPU-Watercooling: Masterliquid Pro 240 Case: Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5T Motherboard: MSI X99A Gaming Carbon Pro SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 250GB M.2 PCIe (OS) Controls: Mousepad: Turtle Beach Drift 9030 Mouse: Logitech G900 Chaos Spectrum Keyboard: Logitech G910 Orion Spectrum Audio: Microphone: Rode NT-USB Headset: Logitch G933 Wireless Boom-Arm: Rode PSA1 Studio Arm Shockmount: Røde PSM1 Shockmount Pop-Filter: Rode NT-USB Pop Filte So basicly your saying if you get a computer with intel i5 procesor and 8 gbs of ram a cheap as intel stock fan cooler it would be able to run gta 5 at max settings like my pc now can do? i dont think so
I dont know what the fuck you're playing but Space Engineers usually uses 16GB of RAM for just itself, 4K lets me see enemies 3km away and snipe their ass in ArmA, my custom liquid loop lets me overclock my CPU from 4.0 to 4.6 GHz nicely. Pump Failure: I don't think I've heard of a pump failure even on any major AIO maker. Their pretty reliable but if shit doesn't work out then hopefully you bought a warranty... (or if you've had it a long time, you could upgrade :D ) Everyone should have an i9-7980XE running at 5GHz with 4 2080ti's in SLI cause fuck it.
Alastair Royale oh really you make 3km shots in Arma? And tell what instance you are able to physically see another player at that distance. Sorry but seems far fetched
With an M107, KSVK, M24, M40A3, AS50, or the LRR. Really any of those. I typically use the M107 or AS50 just because those are 1 shot kill. I don't claim it to be easy, and I've only met maybe 10 people total over the years that have been able to out-snipe me. But if you turn your settings up so you can actually see anything that far away and have a high res screen, you can do it. With certain guns a target might be at the bottom or completely out of your scope which makes it really hard, essentially impossible if they're moving. Most of it is training your eye to catch tiny, minute movements if you don't already know where a target is; sometimes they may only be a few pixels, especially if their prone. The rest is literally... can you line up a shot properly.
Lol I was a crap shot when I started ArmA. Ran in a few mil-sim groups and a real life sharpshooter gave me "training" you could say. Really just practice.
I'm about to get into it soon. Played a tiny tiny bit of arma 2 at a boasting 20 fps xD But i'm about to get the parts for my new pc so i'm thinking of getting arma 3 and maybe Sqaud i think its called, on steam.
Tony Ho dude i played it on 4 gb ram that too on medium settings....gta v works well and is optimized well by rockstar...unlike watchdogs 2 by ubisoft!
I am now going to put all these in my rig. Lol. Actually, I got my peripherals mostly as gifts, and I’m building a high core count high ram rig because I’m a content creator. However, I’m glad someone is finally pointing all of this out.
Antyss08 I don't agree. I7's are better for gaming nowadays because games are starting to use more than 4 cores and hyper threading. What I don't believe gamers should buy is the x299 bullshit platform from intel if they're only going to game. And even if they are indeed going to do anything else other than gaming, graphical work for example, there's amd ryzen to consider
Let me stop you here. 1st Mechanical keyboards make a huge difference in all games vs membrane ones. 2nd Logitech head phones are trash. Try a real gaming head set like corsair, razer, or hyper X. 3rd 16 gb of ram is the minimum for ultra settings now and if you want to run discord, obs or other programs you better have that 16 gb minimum but I will agree that there are better upgrades than ram. Normally. 4th if you wanna run PUBG at 60fps you need an I7 (that ones the devs fault....)
Lol, gaming headsets suck. Ive owned several and hated them. Got a nice set sennhiesers and a modmic, awesome and still sheaper then some "high end" gaming headsets
Awesome video... I have both GPUs and CPU liquid cooled with 2 custom loops with reservoir/ pump combos and PETG tubing. This was also my first build. The pride I feel every time I turn my computer on is overwhelming. The RAM on the other hand... When I bought my first computer in 1992, the seller said I would NEVER need more than 2 MB of RAM... now look where we are (MoBos that can hold 128 GB of RAM or more). You can take that however you like. That's just been my experience. Great vid though man. You defiantly have a new sub and thumbs up from me.
will it run pacman? downgraded intel HD graphics intell (store brand intel but with extra L) 1 core processer no case no motherboard no heatsink no liquid cooling no fans no gaming chair mouse from 1990 typewriter for keyboard 1x1 resolution on box monitor WILL IT RUN PACMAN?
I agree on a lot of these except for the first one. When you are playing a game consistency is incredibly important. Membrane keyboards get stuck, feel mushy, they're slower due to the longer actuation distance and over all just dont deliver as good or as consistent of a result as a mechanical keyboard. Same story with the mouse having a good sensor and some nice switches for your left and right click are important if you want to deliver consistent shots in a game like cs:go or Overwatch. As for gaming headsets though, you're better off buying a nice pair of headphones and slapping on a modmic.
Are telling us that we have to get rid of mouse, keyboard, good processors and most of the ram? I think he just wants us to play outside, or not game at all!
Gaming mice and keyboards with macro keys are extremely useful to have, depending on the games you're intending to play. Ultra wides, I agree but my personaly preference, 27" is ideal for me and because I have a GTX 1070, a 1440p would be a nice thing to have. One thing that is great to have, especially for conpetitive players, is high refresh rate. Liquid cooler, particularly AIOs, a better way to justify it is silence. AIOs are noticably more quiet than even top end tower coolers. Tower coolers do perform better, especially with a good static pressure fans. CPUs, 110% agree. If all you're doing is gaming, i5s and Ryzen 5 chips are plenty, you might even get away with an i3 or Ryzen 3 if you're aim is 1080p gaming. An i7 is good if you NEED the extra cores. I need it for running VMs and program compiling so its very handy to have. Ram, also agree. 8GB is plenty for gaming, 16GB is nice, especially if you're running lots of things in the background but anymore than that is a waste. Ideally, you wanr just two out of the four dimms populated because you use a little less power and you have the capacity of adding more ram if you need it. If you're overclocking, faster kits are nice to have to ensure stability. Otherwise, 2400mhz for DDR4 or 1600mhz for DDR3 is plenty fast enough for the average gaming build. Another note on CPUs, just because its old doesn't mean its not worth using. If you find yourself getting a good deal on a X58 motherboard, grab a cheap i7 920. Its a solid performer, right about the same performance or better than that of an FX 8350. You want to save some more money? Fine, go back farther and snag a P45 or X48 board, you're looking at LGA775. Grab a Core 2 Quad chip, ideally something in the Q9250 to Q9650 and pair it with a GTX 1050 ti and you'll have a pretty solid little budget computer to play with. If you want USB 3.0, buy a expansion card for it. Same with better audio. Older motherboards didn't exactly have the best built in audio. Yes, it'a using DDR2 ram but get, should be pretty easy to come by on ebay and fairly cheap. You can probably get 8GB for about $20~30 if you don't mind semi-generic dimms.
theres a 3rd option for wanting-needing liquid cooler probably the only reason you should buy 1 OVERCLOCKING keeps your components nice and cool and gives extra performance when overclocking
Lots of RAM helps alot when other areas are lacking. RAM, Hard Drive Memory and GPU Memory can all be interchanged when needed in a pinch. There was tests done with a 3gb 1060 GPU with 16gb of ram and a 6gb 1060gpu with 8gb of RAM, and the 3gb ram just as good when the computer was able to allocate the extra RAM.
no. its necessity vs luxury. the point is that if your on a budget it's not a must to have these things and if you want the best bang for your buck you should invest in the system rather than your gear, albeit both are important I'd say build a decent system first and make your way from there.
1 thing you definently need is rgb, statistically accurate studies show that rbg will give you precisely 405 more framerate (per rgb device) than that of someone without it. This is especially well done when anything in your setup is red as red makes your shit run faster.
B-b-but RGB automagically adds 30fps in games
Nah it gives 300fps
Pc in ur keyboard
I've overclocked my monitor to support Nvidiamd Zsyncfire. I no longer have to worry about screen tearing or FPS loss while mining headshots in PUBG. Best thing is, I can now use my 8600GT and Radeon 128 Pro together for a true 16K experience. I've underclocked the GPUs to keep my computer case from going super saiyan.
You all idiots...It adds unlimited fps
Dystopian Package u are soooooooo right just tested it and it works thanks
this video is about luxuries vs necessities
Exactly! :)
Not only.

Yes, it is too loud for headphones (I use a decent one) but wether or not it is a problem depends on what you was listening before that.
You'll need more than 8gb ram while playing GTA, it takes up like 6,9 when I play it
Says you don't need Intel i7, that's true because I got the i9
XD
Actually proven to be worse in gaming than the i7, so maybe you do.
Ehh loser.
I have 4 Threadrippers , bitch your a fuckinh peasants

Bain Slayz faster in doing nothing?
I deleted it and my toaster won't work now.
Dang win 10 makes it hard to delete that folder you have to take owner ship and command prompt. No longer can we spread delete system 32 for free performance lol

32GB ram is nice when you have 2 windows with 100 tabs each in Chrome.
Serpathy who does that?!?!
I just counted my tabs and I got 63 over 3 monitors using 74% of my ram, I will admit they range from politics to Ubuntu and I could probably close most of them but I see a few videos I want to watch in the recommended of one video and open say 5 then basically repeat :/
I just use the page file for 100s of tabs.
holy shit, why?@!@@
Oranje Tijger No you cant Trust me :D
I literally own everything you listed as not necessary lol.
??? 6months later I can say the same thing XD
Don't we all
??? Same
same...and i have a 100$+ RGB Headphones stand too....
Gaming mouse is worth every $. Headphones and keyboards though
all of them are worth it i mean 7.1 surround is amazing and i notice a considerable difference on my Corsair K70 RGB Rapidfire vs my membrane on typing and doing actions within a game
LemmingRush keyboard is worth it aswell
no need a gaming headset as long as the headphones has a good mic
Apple earbuds have a better mic than my Razer Kraken
I only play CS:GO, but the mouse is actually important for me.
same
agreed
Just asking, what do you guys use? I will use a Zowie Fk2 in a few days.
Quacker Crackers deathadder chroma team liquid edition, razer blackwidow x chroma tournament edition, looking to get a razer mamba chroma tournament edition to match keyboard

If you are really competitive, the Mamba TE sucks because of its laser sensor, but if you just like the pretty lights and don't wanna go pro, then yeah it is awesome.
'You don't need a lot of ram'... lmao i wanted to play pubg with 8gb of ram and the house textures didn't even load...
EDIT: stop responding to this comment, i've already upgraded my pc.
Tibo Dupuis if your graphics card is shit or non existent, then that’s probably why
mmorpg if your graphics card doesnt have enough vram it will use your ram instead so you need ram for pubg as well
StayMinty ye, i know that. Didn't think it would play that horrible though since i can play most new games at 60fps on high graphic settings (also my graphics card is not that horrible)
Tibo Dupuis I personally think 16 gb of ram is plenty. Anything above it is overkill, at least for now
mmorpg well... in the meantime i already have 32gb of ram... lmao it's good for Minecraft xD
I NEED RAINBOWS TO PLAY GOOD

I have to disagree with the keyboard. A mechanical keyboard makes so much difference in every single way
and you can get a decent one for $30-$40
Propcouti Studios Check the Redragon k552 kumara 30 bucks
Atomic Jygal_, Yeah that's what I have works well for me I spent more money on my PC itself rather than getting a $100 keyboard.
I picked one up for fifty dollars. It’s really good.
@@jplayzx01propcoutistudios58 i got fantech keyboard . mechanical support brown and blue switch. Also also costom rgb and also also also there is a built in software that you can download from their website .
And its only cost 25$ lol
As a video editor as well, an i7 is a must for me.
Read the title please.
GAMERS!!!!!!
***** Vegas Pro 11, but will upgrade to Vegas Pro 13 when I get a new laptop
I am running Vegas 13 on a Q6600 Core 2 Quad and it runs pretty fast
a core i3 is good enough
A Mechanical keyboard DEFINITELY does have an advantage over membrane ones. When I press a key on my mech keyboard I don't need to have it bottom out to actuate, a membrane one does. This makes for less "input lag" (not really input lag, more or less human ability lag) and higher precision in button presses. Especially in games like Osu!, LoL, DOTA and OverWatch being able to press a key faster and more accurately gives you a great advantage.
Max S u need to bottom out most mechanical switches and the activation force isn't that much different
No you don't. Mechanical switches actuate based on a tiny connector within the switch that touches the metal part you're pressing down to complete the circuit. In fact: Toper switches can even be set on different actuation distances by software. If a key needs to be bottomed out to actuate it's not a mechanical switch.
Max S
once you've used a mechanical keyboard for three days, using a normal keyboard is seriously terrible and nearly impossible for most people to use. got my first mechanical keyboard a few weekends ago, went into school once the weekend was over and actually had issues typing on their keyboards
I build my rig thinking of future use and not current use. I'd rather shell out the extra money now than not meet requirements later.
toxman99 you can't future proof. It's impossible. Rip you wallet you spent way too much.
NorthernLeigonare A 2080 TI should last you quite a while and as long as the pc lasts more that 0 seconds then it has already been future proofed.
Dude future proofing is always innacurate. Technology is always changing.
Notice he never said future proof, he just wants his build to be ideal for more than 8 months lol
Nice stock 3D dubstep earrape intro! It really helps boost popularity!

While I'm not a fan it didn't bother me until it seemed to kick in when he was talking during the part about displays, got to say it became an annoyance at that point.
You don't need a PC for PC gaming. You don't even need games.
what the fuck are even talking about? you make no sense, I don't need a baseball bat to beat the shit outta you, I'll just use my bare hands.

One thing:
Have you ever pc gamed?
i thougth i needed a monitor, cpu, mouse and a keyboard...
Drool Sheep you dont even need a power supply either
and gpu
Lol
Drool Sheep and ram
you should get a plug for it but make sure you get a house or a mall to plug it in to
Having more than 8gb of ram will help you in titles such as gta5 and bf1, since they utilize a lot of system memory, let alone if you have windows 10 with the 2gb consumption
I doubt that very much
Ypu do need 16gigs of ram, try and play gta v on max, 8 gigs will slow it down and thigs load slow, i had an i76700k and a 1080 with 8gbs of ram, when i played it on ultra thing would load slower, but when i upgraded my ram it solved it all
Fine, play gta v with 8gb of ram and tell me you dont get loading issues, even video it cus all of my friend do
Dank Harambe maybe in some rare cases
Gta5 used around 6.5 to 7.5gb of system memory and when you have only 8gigs, it slows down pretty badly
Ex Act ly, more ram is usefull cus there is such a bad feeling you get when a game you just bought lags
My friend, you are about to save me a bunch of money. Building up my first ever rig and I’m overwhelmed with all the part and pieces. This helps a lot.
everyone ..... just because it has "gaming" in its name , doesnt mean its better for gaming than things without "gaming" in their name
it really all depends on what it is; gaming motherboards aren't normally better but gaming monitors mostly are.
+Raska The Furry i know :T
ARVINDER DHANOA ur telling me you would rather use a regular monitor than a gaming monitor while playing games? Sigh
Casual gamers spotted
Honestly, a high quality mouse is SOOOOO Worth it. As long as you get one with a good sensor, like a death adder, any logitech, or a zowie, youll be good. Honestly, if you want to play competitive games like CSGO id say a (more) expensive mouse is required.
A cheap high DPI mouse will do.
Z0MG H4X DPI doesnt = good mouse
Higher DPI in accuracy sensitive games such as CS GO can definitely help if the tracking is on par with the dpi.
2k subs 1M views wtf . U killed it dude . Congo
A audiophile headphones is a must for me.Always use my headphones to listen to music everyday.
hi brother
why the sound quality is not the only thing there is wireless and surround sound both of which appeal to me more and i am using the Corsair Void Wireless Headset and it is amazing
anime cleavage wow
I hardly ever listen to music, but I still bought audiophile headphones for gaming. Gaming headphones are notorious for sounding like shit, focusing instead on bells & whistles like LEDs.
is the Sennheiser hd201 a good pair of headphones??I can't afford a gaming headset they cost wayyy too much and sound like crap with a lot of bass.
3:01 "Do you know when 32 gigs of ram is not enough?"
My answer: Autodesk inventor
Also lots of more recent games that focus on quality over performance need 8+ gigabytes, take Just Cause 3 it always tells me that I need more ram
lumps17_SGN Since when has Autodesk Inventor become a game? Just sayin'.......
+Henrik Paulsen He didn't say it was. He said "Autodesk inventor, also lots of more recent games."
lumps17_SGN chrome
lumps17_SGN you know whats up bro. (Do you use autodesk, too?)
Don't forget that adding stickers to your computer give you a .2 ghz boost to your cpu per sticker.

Don't forget ur monitor lol
Andrew XT you don't NEED high end shit you fucking idiot
XD
Andrew XT from some of the load times I've seen players have in some games u can game on a potato

MrWubbington yep
MrWubbington it's actually 550 MSRP but yeah, makes no difference
MrWubbington Content creator is cancer
WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CANNOT PLAY WITHOUT RGB AND VREADY???
This is guy is semi right. Companies sell you BS and people.. including myself in the past just eat it up and throw money at them chasing the hardware dragon. ..using excuses fed to them like "I dont want to bottle neck..blah" and "I have to futrueproof" and upgrade for no reason. . It gets to the point where you care about what specs you can brag about instead of being within certain game hardware requirements. Just look at the comments below...PC gamers are just waiting to tell their system specs.
Sad truth, most pc gamers are like "uhh i got a i9 and 2 titan xp's" no one cares you bulit it for yourself.Just another pissing contest
*cries on top of razer blackwidow chroma keyboard*
Gobthor lol i would say mechanical keyboards are kind of necessary, they make everything better
but razer mechanical keyboards arent necessary, membranes are better.
d e a d I m e m e lol membranes suck
Yvng Vro i'm saying razer keyboards suck so much that membranes are better. terrible build quality, mediocre switches. only twelve year olds buy them for the super mlg rgb lighting.
d e a d I m e m e oh yea then I agree lmao, razer is doodoo, im rocking that corsair k95 tgb platinum
I thought i needed a PC, i just take a potato...
Double Simplify I got a threadripper 1920x to match a potato and a 1080ti.
(Btw I'm loving them right now holy shit . Rendering my videos is so fast.)
Florian K. I am using an Overclocked Toaster that is everything I need
You don't need anything, you want. :-)
i have i5 4690, evga gtx1050 ti, 8gb of ram and logitech g402 mouse, simple membrane keyboard. i mostly play csgo and mouse is very important for me
KlouX imo a good mouse is nessesary but keyboard isnt
KlouX I have a Ryzen 5 1600 and GTX 1050ti with 16gb of ram. Runs mist games smoothly
*X'Tian* Thanks for producing this video. Please consider updating it, since it's now 19 months old, and could use some freshening.
Correction: You cannot get Cherry mx keyboards for 30 dollars you can get knock off switches though which are still miles ahead of membrane
Lion Heart Gaming how is the cou point valid? It depends on your gpu that point was literally retarded
Vincent Ton: It depends what you're going to do. If you're going to just game, then a i5 will be fine, but if you're going to stream and game at the same time then the i7 is DEFINITELY worth it.
mechanical keyboard ... with high * refresh rate* ??
Ok Lets OverClock to 4.9 ghz on a 6700k oh wait i can't without a liquid cooler to stop my cpu from Exploding!!!
ASF Kelly show me the benefits of running 4.9 ghz
Elian Ramirez for example when modding the shit out of arma 3 but yea nothing more
ArcOfSky please show me the air cooler that outperforms the highest end AIOs..
and no, the Noctua NH-D15 doesn't, it equals or very slightly outperforms the ~$100 price segment.
ASF Kelly don't need 4,9ghz you idiot nn
I don't trust the pre built water coolers I've had 2 leak and no they weren't cheap ones, they were both corsair.
I'd argue the mechanical keyboard helps a lot, my membrane keyboard would always freeze if I clicked more than a couple of keys at once. Even "anti-ghosting" keys didn't help too much. Where as my mechanical keyboard has cured all problems.
"you dont need all this stuff... but i have all of these" - guy in video
you must hide from this guy!
What we don't need: RGB!
TwilightWolf032 but it looks cool
Péter Kiss that's just your opinion lol
Péter Kiss Some people like them for the Aesthetics, it's like when people put under glow on there car. Sure it is not necessary, but in there oppinion it looks better.
Péter Kiss I like to have it so i can change My setup theme whenever i want
omg
the i7 processor just helped me decide for the laptop i've been planning to buy!
thank you! ❤
5 thing "gamers" don’t need when this is all your opinion,
"There isnt going to be a scenario where mechanical keyboard is better than a membrane one" m8 im an osu player you dont even know how mechanical keyboard is important in osu
Radziecki Opiekacz Do Dzieci ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) +
In terms of performance no big difference, just that ur keyboard aint gonna live long
Save for the fact I can type 30% faster on a mechanical vs a membrane. More key stokes per min in a game makes a huge difference.
And yet i still use membrane for osu 🤣
Perfectly sound. Go for the parts that matter for frame-rates first and only then, as a matter of preference, you can pick the parts that matter less. Good Video!
You don't need an i7 YOU NEED AN I9
There is a lesson to be learned here. never shit on RGB.
Feeling really attacked bro all of these are me. XD
AIO is recommended for OC.
ingram where are you getting that information from?? and a leak in an aio these days is unlikely.
it all depends on what you are trying to Achieve ... And How you set it up
The big benefit is that you can directly exhaust the heat from your CPU or intake Fresh Air From outside the case to cool better ... but AIO's Are very limited and A Custom loop would be much better (And look better to)
Only if you go for an Extreme OC on an AMD, everyone sucks Intel's dick about how cool they run yet they go and spend all their cash in Liquid Cooling...
if you are buying in aio cooler, you are buying if for aesthetics, nothing more. Suppose dumb people would too
Brian Gervais There are benchmarks where they push the clock of a CPU further with liquid cooling than with air cooling, that being said, those benchmarks are for extreme overclocking, like pushing a FX-8350 to 5.8 GHZ, the kind of stuff an average user would never do.
There is no i5-3770k, its the 3570k lol

So I should get rid of my 8000 gigs of ram and 6 Gtx 1080s?
Filming for Fun technically yes, but I'd keep it as a conversation starter
Filming for Fun send me some ram
Filming for Fun I got 8 titan x’s
(Its sarcastic for who doesnt know)
No that’s a peasant’s setup. You need 8 1080s
I disagree with 3,4, and 5
3.we need ram to run our systems and need much more gb of ram to run system much faster.
4.liquid coolers are good for cooling the mobo and other stuff in the case&cpu
5.i7 7700k have 4.5ghz that matters the gaming benchmarks like if you agree
전원택 my son is smart
None of this makes sense but ok
well if you take into account 2nd gen ryzen its does... 2nd gen ryzen has been proven to run faster with more ram and a higher clock speed (like 3000mhz as to the standard 2133 for ddr4)
77k is just oced 6700k
Honestly, because of the amount of advancements nowadays, i think a mechanical keyboard is necessary, mainly because depending on what switch you get, it can improve your reflexes because of different actuation points which can give you an advantage. Same thing goes for headphones with 7.1 surround sound which can give you an advantage on your enemy’s position in fps games.

then get a amd radeon hd 7400 series
after that make a case out of iphone chargers
plug the potato into the slot
and boom! 20fps on csgo low settings!
I game on laptop... Can't even play warframe...
???? 12 gigs lol
I play on a laptop. I’m dumb. I wish I got a desktop. It’s a ASUS ROG STRIX GL502 533VE I think. It’s good but I should of gone desktop.
everything is worth.
everything adds performance.
Very true about the monitor, wished I went with the 24' monitor rather than a 27' 😒
I can't load the video cuz i thing i don't need a router... So on 2G i chat.
LOL
This video actually triggered me
Also there's something to be said about futureproofing your rig.
title "5 things gamers dont actually need for their gamin PC" Thumbnail LITERALLY ALL THE ESSENTIAL THING YOU NEED -XTN logic 2K16
Tru unless hes running an X99 system
guilty of buying 16 gigs of ram bc the sale justified the price 😫
So 4gz is actually a must own at this point for high performance.A side note on the cooling.I'm with air cooling, just couldn't bare the risk, becuase I live in a countrty where if a leak hapens, your F***K.But if you need a lot of cooling for overclocking like me and you are gonna go with air, there are almost no choises, but it becomes very case depended aka. you are gonna need a really large case.
no. 6: Power supply
no. 7: GPU
no. 8: Motherboard
no. 9: HDD and SSD drives
no. 10: The PC Cover
Apparently you don't need a pc to game...
You need a good power supply, since having an cheap PSU can literally fry your components.
Pff I use my cheap 50w Chinese psu for my rtx 2080ti and i7 8700k
I'd like to see someone keep an overclocked i7 under 60 at idle with an air cooler.
Maraudience Having a bad day?
I have an i7-6700k @4.6ghz and hit 65 on load
Maraudience I haven’t had an AIO leak yet.
Done I do it all the time on my productivity build
I've had an H60 AIO for 5 years with no leaks no failures. In the winter like right now, my cpu temp is at 30C and 40ishC under load
I think that having a LOT of RAM is good for the following two tasks:
1. Running a bunch of applications at the same time
Good video
Any decent headphones will give you surround sound, or at least enough to be competitive.

So basicly your saying if you get a computer with intel i5 procesor and 8 gbs of ram a cheap as intel stock fan cooler it would be able to run gta 5 at max settings like my pc now can do? i dont think so
Yo, servers. You do need the ram if you're doing that.
Also, some people want to stream, and overclock
he was talking about new gamers read the title
I dont know what the fuck you're playing but Space Engineers usually uses 16GB of RAM for just itself, 4K lets me see enemies 3km away and snipe their ass in ArmA, my custom liquid loop lets me overclock my CPU from 4.0 to 4.6 GHz nicely.
Pump Failure: I don't think I've heard of a pump failure even on any major AIO maker. Their pretty reliable but if shit doesn't work out then hopefully you bought a warranty... (or if you've had it a long time, you could upgrade :D )
Everyone should have an i9-7980XE running at 5GHz with 4 2080ti's in SLI cause fuck it.
Well I've watched some more videos and have seen it be done now, very impressive. I can barely hit anything my aim is shit.
Yes, 32 gb of ram is sufficient for playing all games in 4k and in ultra settings. But i7 is highly required for gaming.
I still need 32gb ram and macros... I'm too lazy for hot keys.
go play gta 5 and tell me if 8gb of ram is enough, hell no
Tony Ho more then enough
yea for 30 minutes and then you freeze the bsod stating you ran out of memory.
Tony Ho dude i played it on 4 gb ram that too on medium settings....gta v works well and is optimized well by rockstar...unlike watchdogs 2 by ubisoft!
i actually do so stfu
The min requirements for gta V is 4gb of ram so....
I am now going to put all these in my rig. Lol. Actually, I got my peripherals mostly as gifts, and I’m building a high core count high ram rig because I’m a content creator. However, I’m glad someone is finally pointing all of this out.
Once again someone who has all this stuff telling us to not buy it
gamers should buy Intel Xeon Quad-Core E3-1230 v3 3.3GHz-3.7 GHz instead of i7.
Not required
Antyss08 xeon is for servers, not for gamers
Antyss08 Xeons are made for servers not for gaming. Just think an 64 core zeon will run cs go under 30fps ,works differend.
actually i have 16 gigs of ram and frequently it goes up to like 80% when i edit with svp/photoshop and play games like gta v.
kenau Photoshop isn't a game. ;)
i never said it is lol?
The video is about games, so Photoshop is quite irrelevant. :)
I really like your style of talking and editing. Keep it up, man, i subbed.
dat insane dislike/like rate xD lol
Not as bad as political videos haha
Let me stop you here. 1st Mechanical keyboards make a huge difference in all games vs membrane ones. 2nd Logitech head phones are trash. Try a real gaming head set like corsair, razer, or hyper X. 3rd 16 gb of ram is the minimum for ultra settings now and if you want to run discord, obs or other programs you better have that 16 gb minimum but I will agree that there are better upgrades than ram. Normally. 4th if you wanna run PUBG at 60fps you need an I7 (that ones the devs fault....)
The do not necessarily make a difference
Nadir, go play on 40fps vs 60fps on pubg and tell us again if that makes a difference or not.
8th gen i5 will serve you just fine for PUBG 60fps unless you are doing 4k.
Lol, gaming headsets suck. Ive owned several and hated them. Got a nice set sennhiesers and a modmic, awesome and still sheaper then some "high end" gaming headsets
16gb is recommended, not minimum. No game in existence at the moment (and more the next 4-5 years) will use more than 16gb.
I think Space Engineer's uses 16gb Ram
Agent Blackwing lol a space engineer that can't spell here...
Owen Yang well I am using my phone and auto correct hates me...it happens
+Agent Blackwing lol it completely changed the comment xD
Owen Yang I fixed it I think...
+Agent Blackwing yea that's why I commented u fixed it :)
will it run pacman?
downgraded intel HD graphics
intell (store brand intel but with extra L) 1 core processer
no case
no motherboard
no heatsink
no liquid cooling
no fans
no gaming chair
mouse from 1990
typewriter for keyboard
1x1 resolution on box monitor
WILL IT RUN PACMAN?
Nope, but it can run Crisis 3 without any problem :)
I think he just wants us to play outside, or not game at all!
i have 4gb of ram
i cant even run bf3
Majestic Seaflapflap i run bf4,bf1, and star wars battlefront with a g3258 4gb of ram and a 2gb gtx 750 and they all run at least at 60fps
Rabbid i have a shitty laptop
Rabbid yeah, I totally believe you, using all low settings right?
No im not
Gaming mice and keyboards with macro keys are extremely useful to have, depending on the games you're intending to play.
Membraine isn't as responsive as mechanical though but it's more quite
The Nanja It’s quite what
I noticed that the music kinda drowns your voice out. Might wanna turn that down a tad bit
theres a 3rd option for wanting-needing liquid cooler probably the only reason you should buy 1 OVERCLOCKING keeps your components nice and cool and gives extra performance when overclocking
11 gb in use .....Rise of the tomb raider......WTF!!!!!
Windows 10 itself use ram, even google chrome
@Md Sohag por is the best.
p-o-r
Used like 25GB of RAM already when having 200ish chrome tabs open. Firefox only used like 4GB for about the same amount.
Windows 10?
3:01
Google Chrome?
Lots of RAM helps alot when other areas are lacking. RAM, Hard Drive Memory and GPU Memory can all be interchanged when needed in a pinch.
There was tests done with a 3gb 1060 GPU with 16gb of ram and a 6gb 1060gpu with 8gb of RAM, and the 3gb ram just as good when the computer was able to allocate the extra RAM.
So your telling everyone that you don't need these components and you have them
no. its necessity vs luxury. the point is that if your on a budget it's not a must to have these things and if you want the best bang for your buck you should invest in the system rather than your gear, albeit both are important I'd say build a decent system first and make your way from there.
i need 32 gigs because im stupid and i run 16 overwatch windows at the same time
1 thing you definently need is rgb, statistically accurate studies show that rbg will give you precisely 405 more framerate (per rgb device) than that of someone without it. This is especially well done when anything in your setup is red as red makes your shit run faster.
gaming mouse it depends what game do u play example for cs go u need gaming mouse
Abdulaziz .26 no you dont
Nyvv Said an unranked guy who plays on daddys Windows 98 with a $5 A4TECH mouse
Berke Paksoy Nah man, I use the arrow keys to look around.
