I PLAYED Pokémon Trainer and Charizard was kinda a weird character to place since he was bad against good characters but was ok in some MUs. He's still probably low tier though, but at the top of it.
We also never really rated the individual Pokémon in tier lists because switching was NECESSARY. Otherwise Ivysaur would've been the worst character.

Coney is confusing the toaster for the electricity in the toaster. *Electric* types aren’t *machine* types. *They’re using electricity itself to attack.* and almost always they’re not powered by it, they generate it. And when they do consume it, they usually consume it to spit it back at you, not to sustain themselves.

Holy shit, I know TailLover, but from a different community! They make mods for Risk of Rain 2, all of which are skins for characters, and all the skins are of characters from other games that have tails. The description of all of their mods include that they have tail physics. The first mod they uploaded was one that increased the tail length for the one character in the game that naturally has a tail. They even made a mod for Mewtwo and Mega Charizard.
Very funny to hear their name brought up when I've seen that name somewhat frequently when browsing for new skins on the Risk of Rain 2 mod app.

Water conducts electricity and water type Pokemon are not pure water, they're animals.
The water type nature of that animal would conduct the electricity, making it more damaging.
So in the analogy, the pokemon is toaster and their element is the water.
Of course a toaster would die in the water, it's steel/fire.

Only water with enough ions in it conducts electricity and if water pokemon generate water from whats basically magic and not a natural source where minerals and ions are absorbed by the water from surrounding rock, that water should technically be completely pure without ions in it meaning it wouldnt conduct electricity
taillover also made skin mods for risk of rain 2. they have 26 different mods that turn the characters into various pokemon and every one has the phrase "has tail physics" in the description

Stamina should come back as an optional universal mechanic. When turned on, everyone slows down and deals less damage the longer they last on a single stock. It would make for some interesting custom games.

Air release jank is a worthwhile bit of Brawl content. It was one of the things that MK was actually pretty susceptible to, with characters like Marth and Sheik having some good kill confirms with it. Oh, and Platform canceling on Smashville.

I don't know if Kirby would really count towards the weakness and resists stats as Kirby can basically just have every type of neutral special move in the game but it's so small anyway that it barely matters. Didn't know there was a lot more into Pokémon Trainer's mechanics than just the Pokémon Change move.

The funny thing is, with the introduction of Piranha Plant, Ultimate could have had an entire other character based around grass attacks, except there are no grass attacks in Ultimate. All of Ivysaurs moves are treated as normal attacks, and any attack of Piranha Plant that uses its leaves are slash attacks (as are all of its biting attacks).
There have been a lot of water attacks added since Squirtle, but not as many as you would think. You'd think Greninja's kunai attacks as well as Water Shuriken would be considered water, but they're just slash attacks. But hey, at least Isabelle can dowse fire with her water bucket... ha ha ha...
Also, while I'm on the topic of attack effects, they made an entirely new attack effect exclusive to Sephiroth's Scintilla, named as such.

the Piplup and Chikorita pokemon I believe do water and grass damage respectively, but those are non-factors in comp.
Water type Pokemon for the most part are not made of water. They simply wield it. They have other organs but as they interact with water a lot, they would be highly conductive. This probably wouldn't be very healthy for the organs in their bodies.

Electric beats water because water type pokemon are living creatures that often live in or near water, so they will be hurt by water conducting electricity. The Pokemon are alive, it's not like a water type pokemon is an inanimate body water that can get shocked and be fine

10:45 I agree pokemon typings make no sense but thematically electricity beating water makes sense reason being that 1 what happens when electricity hits water is super conductive and short circuits I would imagine in pokemon this would be like the water type takes a lot of damage and the electric type loses it's electric status. 2 scientifically it's not the water that conducts the electricity but minerals such as salt in it in pure water you may be right but more likely they would negate each other. it's like the arguement of whether fire or ice is stronger cause fire melts ice but the process of ice melting can suff out fires

Pokémon Trainer was so badly designed in Brawl. If they wanted players to use all three Pokémon equally, then they should have balanced them all better, not add an arbitrary mechanic to force players to switch while having only one of the three be good. Thank God Ultimate removed Stamina and Type Effectiveness since while it was faithful to the Pokémon series, they don't make for a fun or balanced platform fighter mechanic.

Water conducts electricity really well, have you not seen yugioh
Coney. The reason Electricity beats Water in pokemon typing is because Water is a conductor for electricity, meaning that if this type match-up happened in real life it would result in electricity traveling through the water back into the pokemon that fired said water and boiling it alive.
As for why the toaster "Loses" to a bathtub. The electricity in the toaster isn't the thing losing, it's the components within the toaster mechanically failing to withstand the amount of electricity being discharged when water enters its system. If you put a fully conductive energized material in a bathtub it would result in the tub boiling away into steam eventually.
