Вставка
- Опубліковано 22 лют 2024
- The final, final, coal train from Cwmbargoed to Margam and Port Talbot Steel Works passed through Pencoed at `4.45 on Friday February 23rd 2024.
Also, I've included a further " last train" from the November closure date in 2023 and a rare shot through Lisvane and Thornhill in Cardiff. What happens now with coal for Port Talbot
!!!Good video, like!!!
2:30 damn that track needs some TLC
❤
Great catch of a historic event, truly the end of an era.
An end of an era
at least the 66 kept hold of it's EWS livery
More to come soon on Railtours to Cwmbargoed, many years ago.
I thought you might have been at Cwmbargoed, I could have got you entry.
Now you tell me after 20 years of video " up there!" I'd still like to take some clips inside, to complete my video history of the area. Mike in the Vale.
I haven't seen you for thirty years :) I may have some access there in the near future but no at present.@@TheMichaelWilcock2016Railways
I've been retired for 25 years now, so I have the time to join you on any special visits..thanks Mike in the Vale
Most of my snapping is with SNCF lineside and depots and landscape in the Canary Islands. @@TheMichaelWilcock2016Railways
Hi Mike for the first time I managed to get access to the site at Cwmbargoed to photograph the final train. Did you see the painted message on the wagon next to the loco. The End of Coal.
No I missed that. It was supposed to be on the last wagon, buy the run round of the loco meant it was at the front!
Lucky to get inside too. I didn't manage that in 20+ years.
Sad times.
Very sad
