It would be nice if they came out with removable tint so that you can take them out before you inspect your car and reinstall them afterwards.

Look up static tint . It bonds using static and u can take it off right away
Look up smart tint with a control u can make it clear or dark
1. Consider the area that you live in for tinting, for example, I live on a coastal rainforested climate that sees maybe 6 months of moderate sunshine a year, ceramic tinting would not make any difference hence it is not recommended.
2. Metallic tinting doesn't actually interfere with your cell phone signal in a way that you will notice.
3. Look for companies that have lifetime warranties on their workmanship, that almost guarantees you will have a quality job and not have to come back every 2-3 years.
And of course, as with some auto detailing/shops, they will likely try to upsale you on tinting you don't need (notice he pushes ceramic tinting? Well, it's the most expensive as well). Do your research and the more sincere questions the staff asks about what your needs are, the more likely they are at being honest people.

Yeah and if you live in tropical hot country, dont expect too much from heat reduction. The inside of the car might took longer to get hot, but in the end, the car will still absorb heat and it will be very hot in the long run.

Hell down in the scorching heat of Louisiana Tint does make a big difference in inside vehicle temps. plus interior doesn`t fade.
if you get pulled in nc, typically just having all windows rolled down and lights on BEFORE the officer is at your window eliminates any issues

Plus the type of car also makes a big diff. A Prius with blacked out tints is going to be way diff to a cop than a Cadillac with blacked out tints
PhaseSkater right I got pulled over in my cadillac for my tint which isnt even that dark and they didnt end up giving me a ticket for it they were looking for other things
I had my window tints done for $100 back in 2008 about 2 years ago they just started looking purple. They did a great job on the installation. Film is film.

Had Llumar ceramic tint installed on everything except my windshield in 2017. Paid about 300. Car is going back this week to have my rear windows retinted. It’s bubbling up all over the rear window. Good thing is it’s going back to the same shop who will redo it 5yrs later for FREE.
Paid $160 for my tint at broadway auto glass in Merillville, IN. Life time replacement if it bubbles or fades. Receipt will stay in my glove box.😁

i literally got my tints yesterday for $150 but these tints are from Mexico. had my last car done by them as well and it’s been 4 years and the tints still hold strong

I can vouch for FormulaOne window tint being worth the extra cost. I bought my 2003 Turbo PT Cruiser GT new over 15 years ago and had FormulaOne tint installed at the darkest legal % for my state. I also had them tint my sun roof and put a 4” band across the top of the windshield which really added a cool look to my car and made it easy for this tall boy to drive into the sun with my eyes shaded…. My FormulaOne window tint has been installed for 15-1/2 years now and still looks as great as the day it was installed! With the sun roof tinted my black Cruiser stays nice and cool inside while I enjoy the view. ** I also had a top-of-the-line ClearBra™ installed on the front of the hood and front fenders when I took delivery, later adding protection for the front bumper. The ClearBra has finally taken a hit from the sun and is in need of replacing, but the paint underneath is like the day I bought my car over 15 years ago. Spending money on the best tint & bra available is the best investment you can make in your new ride! :)

I paid $80 for my front 2 windows and got LLumar tint I've had it for 3 years and its still perfect. Not sold on that comment about a $100 tinting quote being low quality haha

Chicago Auto Pros Detail and Tint i still dont agree, i go to Show Time Truck Autos and they charged me $100 for full tint (20%) on my dodge ram, they also only charge me $125 for my 2017 dodge charger (35%), but they didnt get the sunstrip on in time so i got it for free. Its called not overcharging but hey it it difficult to tint i have tried and i would gladly pay 200 for tint
It may be the adhesive starting to let go. I say that it wouldn't hurt to go have them take a look.
You're not the first one to have this comment, So i will try to explain. The actual window tint materials will cost $40-$150 depending on what brand and type of film you choose. If you go to a legitimate window tint shop you then have labor cost, rent/mortgage cost , Taxes, Insurance, Tools, Equipment and other costs. If this business wants to stay in business after all these expenses they have to come out making profit. Yes you can get tint for $100, but what is that business not paying??? They are using cheap film, cheap labor, not paying taxes, or they don't have insurance....... they have to skip on something to get the price that low or they are just not making a profit and will not be in business much longer anyway.

In NJ You cant fail inspection because of it and cops don't carry tint meters and someone sued to cops claiming it was an unjust stop so now everyone's car looks gangsta

It depends where you live. Here where I live, you can get a good tint job for $99 for the whole car during the winter. They used good tint film & warranty includes free re-tint if anything happens, like bubbling or color changes during the first 2 years.

I paid 500 dollars today to tint my new car. Luminar Pinnacle series ceramic. Blocks 99 % of UV RAYS so my interior won't be damaged by the strong southern California sun.

I bought precut llumar film and it's been 4 years without any fading or discoloration. I think I bought the most expensive but it was worth it.

shit man i live in florida so I've always had at max 5% on my trucks and ive taken 2 trucks to the same place and paid 100 dollars each time, I've had the same tint for over 3 years now, no bubbles and never turned purple it looks as good as the day i had it done so dont get scamed by some bullshit like this that wants to charge you hundreds of dollars just too tint your car ask the people you know and find a shop with a good reputation thats all
i bought a jeep compass 2019 and today im getting that ceramic film on it. but! i know on suv ypu can ho very dark on the rear windows. that doesnt mean ypu wont get pulled over.

What about when you start getting scratches on the tint from making the window going up or down? I had that happen on my last car and there were vertical scratches after a using the windows. It was really annoying.

If you never have any Toyota CH-R 2018 in record, this is your chance, come to PA, do your 'magic' and take some pictures for your website. The back window is the tricky part of the job, some people want to disassemble the rear spoiler for it (I think is not necessarily)..

Not smart. If they have to replace the rear window, it'll rip-off your rear defroster filaments and for $100 bucks, I guarantee that film will be bubbly and purple in a year. That damage is going to cost you hundreds to fix if you even care to fix it at that point. I would only spend $100 on tint if I was planning to immediately sell the car. You get what you pay for.
At my local tinting place they offered me a warranty but it did not cover fading or turning purple because they knew it was going to happen.

House window tints are different than car window tint,its quality comes from its reflective capabilities unlike the car window tints

Hello i have a 2012 bmw 7 series li that received window tint but tint shop bubble issues on rear windshield. They attempted 3 time with no success since it has defroster lines. They did tint many car with defrost line and they did not have any issues, what do you think is happening, since they think my defrster lines are damage and creating issues with film needing to replace complete windshield, does that sound right.
What are your thoughts on Carbon film? Is that what metallized film is?

My tints were cheap...$120. Was recommended the tint place by a friend who’s had them for a while and they still look good. My issue though is that I can’t see at night. I live in a dark area near the woods and I can’t see anything when backing into a parking spot or when reversing anywhere in general. Is this cause my tints were cheap or is that just a common sense thing that I missed?

Just got my tint done. Suv. Wanted 20 percent in the back and 35 in the front. The very back window looks to be lighter. Like 35 percent like the front 2. Does ANY tint place do that? Or should i take it back.
Why is LLumar better than Suntek CIR or CXP or 3M Crystalline? Seems like a lot of hype. I'm not seeing anything better on the specs.
lifeisgood070 it's actually not...Suntek cir ceramic is the best out of the three
I’m a newer tinter at a formula one/llumar shop in Georgia. We also sale some huper/autobahn films as well. Autobahn I3 is on par with Stratos heat rejection wise and cheaper per roll for us. Pinnacle is our top selling film. Llumars cheap ATC (dyed) will still run circles around autozone and it’s covered with a nationwide lifetime warranty. If your shop doesn’t give you a free full lifetime warranty (bubbling, fading, dematerializing, delaminating ect.), the film they are using is trash. The install may be spot on great but if the film sucks you may lose a. defroster or have it scraped off if you want the tint redone. Not worth it.
Many great films and warranties exist but none are cheap.
I know this video is a bit dated, but wondering what your opinion is on the IRX Series vs aging Pinnacle...or is the Stratos a better option?
I don't understand the factory and added tint. If my truck has 70% factory tint, how much tint do I use to still be legal of 28%?

Massachusetts is cracking down on to dark tinted windows. 35% VLT is the law - But the question is if 35% is installed will the car pass or do you need to go to 30% tint in order to pass the 35% test?
Is there a law protecting a driver from tickets say they drive through a state that doesn’t allow their shade of window tint?
Is it possible to apply burglar proof film to auto glass? I believe it comes in various strengths and colors. Wouldn't be a bad offering to customers living in high crime areas or protesters are causing without rule of law situations. I'd certainly be interested and could revolutionize your industry if possible.
