- Watch this video before you decide to get ceramic window tint! I compared the Xpel CS against XR and XR PLus. I had the Xpel PPF done on my 2021 Civic Type R and 15% Xpel XR Plus on the windows and 70% windshield. I wasn't expecting the feel much different with the Xpel Plus but there's a big difference in the film and you can immediately feel it inside of the car. For now on, I will purchase the highest grade ceramic. #xpel #windowtint

Getting ready to get my Honda Accord EX-L done tomorrow. Only going with the XR ceramic. Probably going with 30% all around including bar across front windshield. Good advice on traffic stops too.👍
Had Xpel Prime XR Plus on my CTR. Went back to Formula One Stratos on my 22 M4X, no specific reason. I had Stratos on 4 other cars, I didn’t feel a huge difference between the XR Plus and Stratos. Didn’t have PPF on the CTR, but went with full STek on the whole car on the M4. Highly recommend XR Plus. Good to see other shops installing XR. I may go back to it, next time.

Love the information and detail in these videos. Getting my car tinted soon myself. I will say though that any tint is legal on the rear passenger & rear windows of vehicles in California. The front two windows “legally” should only have a 70% tint & the windshield shouldn’t have any except for 4” from the top. That said, I’m getting 15% on my front windows after watching your videos… I’ll take my chances. 😂
Good deal! I think it gives officers a reason to pull you but they typically don’t.
I’ve had more trouble with window tint living in Ohio than California.

Getting my accord sport SE done next Monday, great video bro! Getting the XR plus as well and I’ve been looking for videos for more info on these tints. So far, everyone I asked or each person in each vid swears by this so I’m excited! I’m thinking of going 20% all around but I’m concerned about the windshield being too dark!

I had 70% on my windshield but over time it felt like a waste of money. It cut out some heat but there was still lots of glare from the sun and oncoming headlights. If I were you, I'd go back and redo the windshield to 50% like me. I have ZERO regrets. It's noticeably darker to see out of both day and night but you get used to it in a few days. I love it because it really cuts down the glare of oncoming headlights at night, especially annoying LED headlights that beam right at your eyes. Its not too dark, I can still see my passenger and driver seats from the outside looking in through the windshield, although with a more smoked look rather than clear. My set up is 5% on the 3 back windows, 18% on the front 2 windows, and 50% on windshield (although my windshield actually metered at 45% with a meter)
It’s about cutting out the heat if you are using better tint.
Your thoughts on XR vs 3M Crystalline ?? Before I get it done , I’d love to know. Thanks. Also when sitting in a lot, does this help protect the dashboard from UV fade ?
I don’t have any experience with Crystalline but I heard it’s a good film. Both films would prevent fading as that block out harmful UV rays.

You can’t go wrong with either one of those. I would see what your desired darkness you want and see if they off it. With Xpel, I had to choose 30% or 15% for the XR Plus
@@eddiemcars which tint brand have more blackish/charcoal color from every angle ? Because what makes me change my mind ok lumar startos 70% front windshield is kinda bluish hue to it not like the Xpel am I correct ? Or both have same color tint ?? Thanks again

All window tint is installed inside the window. You may see installers placing the film outside the window but that’s solely for the shaping/sizing process.

If the glass on the outside is 150 degrees to touch the glass on the inside is 150 degrees to touch. Right? I love this tint but let’s be realistic.
if your oven is 450, why is the oven glass not 450....
@@PressurePlayerStudio Double or triple pane glass with a vacuum or gas between panes. But you have a point. If it was single pane like cars it would be 450.
Which one would you recommend that’s really clear and not hazy. Prefer a grey to clack color rather than brown/ blueish.
Going 35 % with black interior
3M IR series is going to be more grey/charcoal and
Xpel XR+ has a bluish color to it, but XR would be grey
Just had Suntek CXP carbon 45 all around and it’s clear with no haze
If I have something glued/adhesive on the windshield like a dash cam, how would they apply the tint on the inside
You’ll have to remove it and reapply after the tint is installed.

I don’t think they do. I’m sure you can find an Xpel dealer in your area though.
I know my local tint shop uses this film. Currently getting it on my SI. I’m sure you could call the local shops and ask what brand they use.
UVA rejection... I'm always said whenever I hear that mentioned... :( (because when I was young, I applied to UVA and was rejected) :(
Thumbs down because the video did not show in IR reading inside of an actual car. It just used the store demo, which could always be rigged.
I put 30 on my windshield and 5 everywhere else. I’ll take my chances with the police
