I agree, I had it once and didn't understand the hype. I went for a late lunch so maybe they were scraping the bottom of the pans for my food. The mac and cheese was grainy.
Just visited Nashville for the first time. Loved the city and love your videos. Your channel is ahead of its time man, you’re going to get more subscribers!
XPLR.NASH Thanks, I might get back out there again this summer, was thinking the same thing as I flew back yesterday. Spent so much time at the festival that I didn’t see much of the neighborhoods. Just one night on the East side. Wanna see more.
Wassup brother great videos very detailed. I currently live in NYC I’m definitely considering moving to Nashville after watching your videos in about 3 years.
Ok! Mac & Cheese pizza? Hook me up! Seriously! Nashville's food train is off the rails. I was there in March; and the food was amazing. The hot chicken... what a treat! There's a place called 400 Degrees in Nashville that makes awesome hot chicken.
Wendell Smith’s across the street from Hattie B’s is one of my favorite meat+ and breakfast places. Great food, staff and ambiance too. Give them a try dude.
Actually Dairy King's location is "new". When we had a huge flood in 2010. The original Dairy King fell victim and was basically underwater. The were forced by the city to relocate after the flood. The original location is just down Thompson Rd.
Hey Clay! Congrats on the potential move! Definitely watch the Neighborhoods video and message us on instagram if you have any questions about Nashville!
HI mate. Have you got or could you do a video on best places to stay when visiting please. I'm flying from the uk and no idea where to book accommodation. Are there hotels in 10-30 min walking distance to "downtown" and that are not silly expensive. Keep up the great work with your videos mate. I'm hopefully coming when all this pandemic mess is over, so I'm going through your vids from the first one. Cheers fella.
If we don't get to the video in time.... Airbnb's are the way to go in Nashville. Hotels are to $$$ in the walking distance for Nashville. Also look for Airbnb's in Midtown or East Nashville! Uber and lyft are cheap enough and will get you where you need to go!
I think Prince's has been around since the 80s but since it was located in North Nashville no one knew about it because unless you lived in North Nashville, you didn't want to be there. Yes, I've lived in Nashville and only started hearing about hot chicken in the past 5-6 years.
How can you go to Hattie B's midtown and not go to GiGis next door for dessert? Smokin Thighs sucks. I've seen bugs in the food...Dairy King rules. This is from a Unicorn (aka native Nashvillian) 🦄
If Hattie B's is one of the best 5 restaurants in Nashville, then there must not be any really good restaurants. Get some Popeyes fried chicken, hot...and you have a much better product. If the HOT Popeyes chicken is not hot enough, just throw on some Tabasco sauce. One thing you are right about...Hattie B's success is from its marketing...not from its chicken.
Can't believe people stand in line at Hattie B's when there is so much good hot chicken in town. This is just hype.

Thank you so much. Make sure to come back to this city, there is so much happening all the time. Thanks for visiting by the way.

Fantastic documentary

Do it, you wont regret it at all. What type of work are you looking for if you move to town?
XPLR.NASH I currently work for Fedex express so I can just transfer over
Ok! Mac & Cheese pizza? Hook me up!

The Mac and Cheese pizza was delightful! Yes, 400 degrees makes awesome hot chicken. What other places did you eat at?
Wendell Smith’s across the street from Hattie B’s is one of my favorite meat+ and breakfast places. Great food, staff and ambiance too. Give them a try dude.
Wendell Smith's is a great meat and three here in the city. We will definitely feature them in our top meat and three video!
Actually Dairy King's location is "new". When we had a huge flood in 2010. The original Dairy King fell victim and was basically underwater. The were forced by the city to relocate after the flood. The original location is just down Thompson Rd.
Did not know!! Thanks for the info!!
Thanks for the info man, we're moving to Nashville from Florida next spring or as soon as I sell my house lol. Can't wait for the food and music!
Hey Clay! Congrats on the potential move! Definitely watch the Neighborhoods video and message us on instagram if you have any questions about Nashville!

Clay Grubbs I live in Nashville currently but I am originally from Florida and ngl I should have stayed in Florida Nashville is trash

@@XPLRNASH Excellent mate. Thank you for your help. I’ll look into all that. Cheers fella ✊
Good video. Never heard of Dairy King nor tried Hattie Bs. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for watching!! Hope you have good experiences!
Xplr nash, you're the man! I live local too we should hang. I know so many niche restaurants
What restaurants do you recommend?
Been fortunate to not have have had to wait in a long line a Hattie B's. Usually go at night. You can order ahead for pickup.
Definitely!
I never go to a restaurant where there is a line up heading out the door.
you are missing out
@@kaylamarie5808 So are u.
Great quality video!
Thank you so much. Did one of your favorite Nashville restaurants make the list?
Not a restaurant but its a bskery nashville 5 daughters bakery ohhh man those cronuts!!!!
We always walk out of Five Daughters spending way too much! They have a livestream of their donuts as well!
1:45 wait. Yeah we gonna tailgate
Lived in Franklin most of my life....Hot Chicken wasn’t a thing ..seems strange don’t you think
Its definitely a new cultural thing in Middle Tennessee.
XPLR.NASH lol New cultural thing! You mean bullshit marketing. It’s just chicken
Exactly, it’s hot sauce on chicken

Peg Leg Porker for dry ribs.
100% we agree!!
Unfortunately two of these places are marked temporarily closed on Google. I missed out. 😭
Hollar and Dash has been replace with Maple Street Biscuit Company. Worth it to go!

Gigi cupcakes are amazing.
I wouldn't wait that long for a Michelin rated restaurant. No thanks
You could get it quicker if you head down to Bishops in Franklin, TN
county music festival
@3:01 😂
Thank you!
I have to disagree on all but 1. Holler & Dash and Dairy King? Cmon man. Those two are closed now.
This video was made in 2018.
Kinda heated princes didn't make your list
Haha 1hr 45 min?
