Cool. I was trying to find this place earlier in the year. I couldn't spot it from the water but now that I see it has been cleaned up, I guess I have an excuse now. 😊 It's great you found that coin. 👍
Really enjoyed the explore Janson ! Great job filming. Nice tail stand with the Pike at the end too. Happy Thanksgiving weekend to you and family also. Take care my friend !
Hey Adz :) Description of the tar was in the first 15 seconds of video lol, its actually quite polluted in there from back in the day, tar is still bubbling up and makes patches on the water that look like a broken piece of mirror floating..
I found a large steel bin with tar in in it on the shore off fitzwilliam island off manitoulin and wondered what it was used for - I imagined waterproofing most things like roofs and wooden boats back in the day - it was crazy old
Interesting stuff Janson. Cool find with that 1944 coin. Thanks Brother!

Ketchup was definitely a popular product back in the day. Food must have tasted terrible back then. Sweet fish!
Thanks for coming along for the adventure :) hard to say how the food was but shoreline refrigeration was an issue!
Your lucky to have such a clean environment to fish in mate.
What was the Tar used for ?
