My niece who lived in Lexington Tennessee passed away last year. Her and my wife were a year apart and super close. As my wife was going through her pictures, she finds an autographed 5x7 of Eddie Gilbert personalized to my niece. It's now a prized piece of my wrestling autograph collection. RIP Eddie and Keri

Eddie was really too good for mid-card and too over to really be a good face: his best role was as a lower class heel. His “hot stuff international” gimmick is how jcp got Rick Steiner snd Sting.
Left to his own devices, Eddie could have been the next Paul jones or Kevin Sullivan.
