This series is really helping me learn about dirtbikes and what they are built of. I havent bought my first one so its helping me understand more. Thank you!
Just make sure you get one with low hours. When you are beginner you want to spend your time riding the bike. There is nothing wrong with the way this dude went. However he obviously has the experience to pull off the job. Also be sure and get yourself a full set of riding gear. Both Honda and Yamaha make excellent bikes. A 250 2 stroke is a lot of bike for a beginner. If you can handle it that would be a good direction. If not it 250 4-stroke liquid cooler it's an excellent choice. It is good to take an experienced rider with you when shopping . If this is not possible, look for buying used dirt bike videos on UA-cam. Good luck to you sir, I hope you hit the dirt soon.
Ryan M. It depends rly, if it is more fuel into the engine, then yes, it would go faster. If it was more in the tank, it would be more weight to carry, but longer run times
Nice vid. So true on the parts, they add up quick. If you're changing the swingarm bearings, get the swing arm sandblasted, then give it a buff with a scotchbrite pad to give it a brush aluminum look. The sandblasting will mellow out a lot of the gouges and scratches, and it'll save you a bunch of elbow grease. Great job, keep it going.
Nice man. I quit my desk job and am starting a MX engine rebuilding business; and watching just these past 2 videos has made me decide to start a channel. Keep cranking these out. Subscribed.
little tip for the cleaning of the aluminum parts. use a scrotch-brite wheel on a grinder or a Dremel and then just use the smaller scotchbrite tips for the cracks and crevices makes it take less than half the time
Awesome build man. If I were you I would have gone with a 2005. Find one of those totally trashed for the right price and you have yourself a 2018 in no time. I bought a 2005 and put 450 forks on it. Complete motor only thing 2005 was the cases. Pro circuit pipes. 2008 sub frame and a new gas tank and boom. Fresh wheels all around and I had myself a 2018 completely indistinguishable. Still awesome build man. Super nice steel frame
Nice colour on the frame! Couple of things I noticed, make sure to check and grease the bearings in wheels, swing arm etc. After blasting them with water you don't want them going rusty (Not sure if you plan on replacing)
Hey man a way i use to clean aluminium is a cutting compound with a scotch brite pad type thing attachment for a drill comes up really good just a bit easier than steel wire 😊
Next time use the soft wire cleaning wheel attachment for your cordless or pneumatic drill. Unless you enjoy the aching fingers and the hard work with wire wool. Just a suggestion.
You should have tried to make the steel wool stick to a drill somehow ... Idk what tools you have but if you just cut a wood circle and put a screw thru the middle and then glued or velcroed the wool to it, then it might help
hey man, great video series! got a question for you: what is that steel floor plate you're using? i definitely want something like that to lay down while i work on my bike. where would i find something like that? thanks!
That buying parts piece was all me. Lmfao. 2 things! Please get the hubs Cerakoted blue. And have the suspension done and oils replaced. Nice build so far. Cant wait to see how it turns out and holds up
You give me a Chrisfix vibe but personally I like you a lot better that him Keep uploading content like this and I really hope you blow up into a big channel
Man, a $400 dirt bike and not one bad seal or bearing? Did you check for movement in the wheels, linkage, steering stem, swingarm, connecting rod, shifter rod or primary drive shaft where the front sprocket goes? Just giving some criticism man, love what your doing though, if you can do this again and again it will build up a subscriber base, I'm a Yamaha man myself, and a Kawasaki guy, and a Honda fan, haven't ridden but only about 20 different bikes so far in my life, but a few of them I owned and got to go deep into the engineering and building of it and since 4 it's been my main passion, keep it going brother, I messed up and let myself get down to not riding at all for several years before I said I NEED THIS!!! LOL, it's amazing how much joy it can bring to your life..
What about the linkage? It is probably seized if the bike is that old. I have a similar build but with a yz 250 from 96. It looks almost as Rocky Mountins video about the yz 250 from 04. And that bike was brand new!
I bought new bushings and bearings for the shock, swing arm, steering and the wheels so it will all be new! I just didn't show it in the video because I bought it after the fact.
This build series is going to blow your channel up
Raptor Adaptor true
well, it fucking didnt hahaha
@@David-rv9kj HAHhahahahahhahahah

“More fuel means go faster right?...”
Oh help me I’m dying 😂 😂
Ryan M. It depends rly, if it is more fuel into the engine, then yes, it would go faster. If it was more in the tank, it would be more weight to carry, but longer run times
Diedrich: puts on halo theme
me: a a man of culture as well
The halo edit gave me a good laugh !!
Instead of buying those $100 covers, you could have bought a linkage, wheels bearing kit, front fork seals, etc... That would be a full restoration
I got all of that just didn't show it in the video.
Really ! I agree covers are useless
That black clutch cover is gonna add about 30 horse power! LMAO!
Nice vid. So true on the parts, they add up quick.

use a lube when 'grinding' with steel wool or a scratch pad. makes for a nice grinding surface
Damn it...I need episode three....why couldn't i find this 8 months from now. Looks great so far.
Once I saw the halo hud=instant subscribe😂😂😂😂😂
Nice man. I quit my desk job and am starting a MX engine rebuilding business; and watching just these past 2 videos has made me decide to start a channel. Keep cranking these out. Subscribed.

why use steel wool by hand and why not just use a powertool
I agree. He probably just doesn’t have power tools
Great video dude, look forward to see her finished. I was thinking to do something similar.. maybe bit later.
Dirt N Iron haha surprised to see you here, guess that "something similar" came true with the ktm300!!
Shopping part was hysterical!
Kept on looking for part 3 and realized you just put these out! PART 3 ASAP
dude this channel is mental making me wanna re do my Wr
could be a future developing this character... funny as hell.... great vid.
Halo part was absolutely amazing!!
Awesome build man. If I were you I would have gone with a 2005. Find one of those totally trashed for the right price and you have yourself a 2018 in no time. I bought a 2005 and put 450 forks on it. Mag/aluminum wheel cleaner will brighten the swing arm up like new with very little scrubbing
Nice idea with the target in the first view minutes! 😂👌
All in all a very cool video series! Hold on!
Best regards, Pole! 😎
Awesome video, can’t wait for part 3.
I love the halo part!! Very creative!
Nice colour on the frame!
Couple of things I noticed, make sure to check and grease the bearings in wheels, swing arm etc. After blasting them with water you don't want them going rusty (Not sure if you plan on replacing)
Hey man if you get a drill and a scotch brite wheel pad. And you can clean up the aluminum parts really nice and will makes things faster.
the frame color is dope af. Good choice.
Love the quality and content of your videos keep it up man !
5:06 white wall tires for dirt bikes?
Commentary when you were ordering parts had me in stitches!! 🤣😂🤣
“Add to cart” 😂
It’s looking good bro.
“What’s going on guys!!” 😂😂😂
Nice videos getting stuck in straight away no messing about like most bike builders 👍
You should use oven cleaner on aluminum. I used it on the intake for my jeep. Did amazing and much cheaper than gunk
Yz250 and HALO, doesn't get any better than that.
If you Don’t mind telling how much did you pay for that powder coating
I paid 200 for the frame, subframe and footpegs
what 200$?!! In our country powder coat is just around 50$ include sand blasting :D
I live in italy where everything is double the price
okay :D
200 is 4x the price though
For the sling arm you could have used fine sandpaper
funniest rebuilding video that i have ever watched 😂😂
The Halo theme just earned you a new subscriber. Good stuff! Good humour too lol
I loved the halo edit ! I wasn't ready for it lol
Awesome video! Im currently in the middle of rebuilding a 98 yz250 myself. Your frame color looks great
Btw if I were I wouldn't blast your suspension with the high pressure hose thingy because it recks the seals
Hey man a way i use to clean aluminium is a cutting compound with a scotch brite pad type thing attachment for a drill comes up really good just a bit easier than steel wire 😊
LOVE THE HALO REACH PART 😂😂😂😭😭😭😭
Next time use the soft wire cleaning wheel attachment for your cordless or pneumatic drill. Unless you enjoy the aching fingers and the hard work with wire wool. Just a suggestion.
How did the black paint on the wheels hold up?
Shopping was awesome 😂👍🏻
Micheal Sabo did the wheel trick
Nice job washing all the bearings down. While you have her all apart you should put in a power band.
i got new bearings on the way. should i put the power band next to the flux capacitor or next to the Ejecto Seato cuz.
why didnt you just paint the spokes black too?
Hey Diedrich, Noob question but how did you Powdercoat such a big item like the frame?
That frame color is sick!
I have a 99 125 I’m planning on refreshing the look of it too.
You should have tried to make the steel wool stick to a drill somehow ... Idk what tools you have but if you just cut a wood circle and put a screw thru the middle and then glued or velcroed the wool to it, then it might help
I liturally wached all of the episodes 4 times
That budget looked GUUUUHD.
hi man can you pls tell me how to check what year the yz was made where can i see that
Dude this channel is awesome , i feel like im watching a 1m subs channel
hey man, great video series! got a question for you: what is that steel floor plate you're using? i definitely want something like that to lay down while i work on my bike. where would i find something like that? thanks!
Try an angle grinder with a high grit sanding disc on the fork next time?
How do you know what size to choose for the wiseco top end ?
That buying parts piece was all me. Lmfao. 2 things! Please get the hubs Cerakoted blue. And have the suspension done and oils replaced. Nice build so far. Cant wait to see how it turns out and holds up
why would he cerakote a billet hub? he shoould find another talon
Halo, haha. Love that you put a reference about that game in this vid
How long did it take you to make your swing shine?
That online shopping was hilarious! 😂😂
no new tires? but why though?
i love these videos and think theyre hilarious but are you not doing any of the bearings? theyre very common things to go bad
I just subscribed because of the way u were shoppin that was real funny man Original stuff
Loving this channel.
just wish you would have had the swing arm powder coated too!
i like the way you style your videos keep up the good work
i watched the first part yesterday and was thinking darn he isn't posting updates on the bike, next day bam!
Try using mag wheel cleaner and a green or red scotchbrite on all the aluminum parts
THATS exactly how it is when we buy parts for our toys. its all fun and games until its time to pay lol
whats the app you used for the HUD while spraying??? i NEED it!!!
6.50 good shot 👌🏼
The end buyer list is so funny it reminds me of my online gambling problem! I might just order parts rather than chips next time! 😂
The whitewall dirt tyres made me look twice 🤣👌
You give me a Chrisfix vibe but personally I like you a lot better that him
Keep uploading content like this and I really hope you blow up into a big channel
Great video, but why are you not getting new tires?
Mate not even new bearings?

Careful pressure washing that close to your bearings it can push dirt and grime into them 👍
This is an awesome build, I love my yz250, and you make it funny as hell
Haha great shopping part!
Why would you spray paint rims
You forgot to add wheel bearings, shock and swing arm bushes, brake pads and some go faster reeds 👍
What about the linkage? It is probably seized if the bike is that old.

That is great! Had to do the same for mine, everything was so rusty xD. Looking forward for next part!
Metallic purple would have been dope
really digged this video.
Please ask someone to show you how to use a spray can.
frame does look good, I like it.
Sorry, but what did you use to clean up the motorbike parts? Can you name it?
Great video series!
Amazing Videos, hope u get more subs. Cant wait for episode 3
