WWE is character development driven that once the character developed then you can pair them up with another character developed personality and a story will build..

Ango you were 100% right about Ricochet and the contract situation there! I think Ricochet needs to take a different path like Mustafa Ali. He could dominate TNA or take a chance at NJPW and become IWGP junior heavyweight champion. AEW will get their dream matches with Ricochet against Will Ospreay, Jay White, Swerve and maybe Kenny if he gets better and then send him into a tag team with Keith Lee.
I’d love to see Moose and Joe Hendry make an appearance eventually through this partnership.
I agree, Ricochet can do all the flips and spins he wants. He just isn't a good character and he doesn't have the promo skills to be a well rounded talent.

Ricochet has had great matches in NJPW. He could probably make pretty good money there. If he does sign with AEW there is a slim possibility one of the other "forgotten talents" will get a chance to work with him and maybe they both can get some shine.
Josh Alexander is a huge talent. He was TNA champ for like a solid year. He is one legit dude.
If he hadn't got injured his championship run would have been EPIC
He is basically what the same people on here are wining and complaining about Ricochet. He is a very good wrestler, but lacking in other areas, and not marketable to a large audience. Ricochet is more marketable to me than Josh Alexander.
From a standpoint of fit Ricochet would be perfect for AEW. His in-ring style thrives on a certain level of freedom & he consistently would perform in 15-minute matches with little storyline involvement.
However, he is much closer to a World Championship in WWE than in AEW since they are filled with superstar talents. Even in the midcard, AEW has an oversaturation of talent despite having 3!!! championships.
AEW has a roster full of midcarders.
Have Ethan close to winning the nxt title and have Josh attack him

I honestly feel like Ricochet would be a better fit in TNA. AEW would use him even less than WWE does. AEW will give him good matches until the end of the year but then he will be stuck wrestling on Rampage once a month. Ricochet isn’t a main event star but I think TNA will give him a proper place on their roster.
TK would use Ricochet more, especially after what Will Ospreay said about how he felt Ricochet was being showcased on the Speed show. So Will is gonna have a hand in letting TK know to use the guy and have him go out and give him the amount of tv time. Would be awkward for him to go to TNA knowing TNA is working with the WWE and he's leaving the WWE.

If Ricochet is going to AEW, I didn't realize the history he has with AEW talent. He was trained by Chuck Taylor. He has a history of matches with Claudio Castagnoli, Eddie Kingston, Michael Nakazawa, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole, AR Fox, Rocky Romero, Brian Cage, The Young Bucks, Roderick Strong, Christopher Daniels, Kenny Omega, Angélico, Rey Fenix, Keith Lee, Tag Team champs With Matt Sydal, Trent Beretta, Will Ospreay, Johnny TV, Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic (2019) - with Aleister Black (Malakai Black). Not to mention his history with NJPW talent. He won 6 man titles with David Finlay and Satoshi Kojima & Hiroshi Tanahashi and Ryusuke Taguchi. He would plug right into that roster. Will have to see what happens. I'm sure a lot of AEW talent would love to have him on the roster.

AEW and more importantly Tony Khan has to prove to MANY people (myself included) that signing someone like Ricochet is going to be more then just allowing him to do more flips than he was allowed to do in WWE. The creative in AEW for the last 2-3 years has not been good enough to keep peoples interest and I’m glad you went out and said it.

3:25...I just noticed the NXT:Battleground logo IS TNA COLORS🤔 And TNA just did a couple of well received shows in Las Vegas over the last few months. Local fans will likely recognize any TNA wrestlers that may show up.
Ricochet leaving is not a big deal there are plenty of guys in WWE like him and he fits in better in AEW or TNA. Now if they lose Samantha Irvin thats a loss.
Hope Ricochet has fun with that Tony Khan patented 4 month push before he’s wrestling on rampage once a month against stellar individuals such as Action Andretti and Serpentico…

I plan to watch Battleground tonight. I’m most interested in Jordynne vs Roxanne and Trick vs Ethan. I’m more familiar with Ethan’s work in TNA because he was featured more often and come closer to being properly utilized.

Prince Puma hell more than likely return to one of the Mexican promotions I doubt he'll go to AEW or TNA .

I always thought that Ricochet were playing himself when it comes to promo segments instead of being a larger than life character. Whatever he does in the ring is good as a wrestler, but kind of talentless outside of it. He spent most of his main roster career under Vince's vision and regime.

Ricochet: I understand he use to be IC Champ, I understand he tag teamed with Bron, I understand he was speed champ, I understand the did all of this and all of that... I understands the he sux at promo's. I agree it is a lateral move, BUT how can a wrestler go up anywhere and no be good on the mic? Even Kofi became better on the mic over time and became World Champ, same as McIntyre. I won't be surprised if Samantha became WWE champ before Ricochet in WWE because she's better on the mic in some capacity. You can flip around the ring all you want, but if you can't talk about it, WE DON'T KNOW THE REAL YOU! Can't blame WWE for not pushing him any further. No one speaks about cesaro/claudio because we all know he's flat on the mic and in personality. He can wrestle, but he doesn't sell himself, therefore NO IT FACTOR!
TNA stars showing up in NXT battleground tonight is awesome this working relationship with NXT and TNA has been awesome it's working out better than AEW'S partnership with them 4-years ago Ricochet was a missed opportunity in WWE he shouldn't go to AEW since that's where careers go to die mercedes mone for example she has been a flop since her debut AEW shouldn't sign Ricochet that's dumb so what was the point of AEW saying when they first started that they are going to be the alternative to WWE but they've been signing WWE stars since AEW first started plus Ricochet won't make a difference in AEW's ratings just like mercedes mone.

Honestly I don't know why he won't even resign we need people like him but understand this we literally though he was going for a name change or a gimmick change he was teasing if and now he is leaving the company now simply I don't want him to be in aew but wwe I get it had not been pushing ricochet they way we want him but I am sure he will find a way to make it right but I am saying this now he should not go to aew because that would literally not make him a star

Ricochet is great in the ring but he needs much more help when it comes to his promos. He’s another one of those talents who feels he’s so great in the ring and will do wonders anywhere they go but fails everywhere else in character work, promos, etc… I can’t relate to Ricochet on no level because I don’t know what he’s trying to convey to us the “audience” I believe once he gets to wherever he’s going he’ll finally understand and then he’ll probably come back later on down the line. He needs to figure his shit out.

its always been the wrestlers themselves to make themselves relevant and healthy. its a challenge to push someone if they get injured or if they dont get over for some reason. take cody, great run in WWE so why was he not able to do that in the company he helped start. i feel its he himself taking himself out of the AEW championship scenario and his over saturation( reality show ans the gameshow thing plus weekly programming) but with a goal to get the one belt his dad and brother never got he got over as a super babyface. on the other hand take jerico or moxly were they have been relevant since they keep reinventing themselves and have been healthy so they can be used regularly (that was the issue with cole) i agree that TK needs to have a team of bookers that can drive the different programs and he can that go or veto any potential storylines

That sounds more like WWE. They use them to sell merchandise and tickets, and as soon as they get injured or don't sell as much, they don't use them and ship them off.
