- British wrestling fans! Are we happy?!
Seemingly from out of nowhere, an announcement was made this morning regarding the future of World Of Sport wrestling! They are back!
Making their triumphant return to the Brit Wres scene in September, WOS will be running two shows for their debut! Featuring the likes of Grado, Sha Samuels and Ashton Smith...WOS looks like they have some promising things coming in their future!

I am wondering if ITV are losing the rights to AEW as I think it's fairly common knowledge that WOS was shelved because they got AEW
In a way I hope they go back to the rounds system because as someone who has watched a decent amount of World Of Sport Wrestling from decades ago, I think that it was a unique selling point for world of sport where they had a strict set of rules that of course when broken by the heels generated a lot of heat with the crowd. The British rounds system in world of sport to me is similar to TNA when they had the unique six sided ring, it was something that made you stand out from the crowd and I hope they can incorporate it into the new world of sport.
If you wanted an idea of how it could work, check out the NXT UK heritage cup, some great matches on there and it made a fan of A-Kid and Jordan Devlin (now JD McDonagh).
Really hoping for World Of Sport Wrestling to be a success as you've mentioned because it would be great for the British pro wrestling scene.
Back in the day a lot of WOS wrestlers were shooters.

I'm looking forward to it I enjoyed the series I think do Weekley youtube shows build a fanbase then try get tv deals uk scene doing well eve womans promotion rev pro progress wos the uk scene growing and getting better my grandad loved wos wrestling in 80s he was very sad when it was booted off itv

I am so excited for this, I recently rewatched the 2016/18 shows and loved it even more than on the original run
Well, the 2018 series suffered from WAY TOO MANY camera cuts.

@@soullessmin Also, this revival had better not try to be like Gladiators (because we already had its recent comeback on BBC).
P.S. In case Justin Sysum - who is the WOS World Champion - doesn't return, they'll have to find another babyface.
Love to hear it! Whilst the production of the show was very ITV, I think there was a lot of upside to the 10 episode series in 2018!
As long as this revival tones down the constant camera cuts *AND* doesn't try to be like Gladiators.
Here's hoping! Currently unsure if it's fully tied to ITV, so I imagine the production will be different!
