    Great information. I admit I am nervous about doing a branching scenario. But this should help.

    Excellent video Kimberly! Especially love the ideas of a bottle neck to map out learning pathways.

    Kimberly, your videos are AWESOME! What specific software do you require or recommend for your upcoming course?

    • @KimberlyGoh
      @KimberlyGoh  2 роки тому

      Hi Rene -Thanks so much for asking! I’m thinking of developing two courses. The first will take a deeper dive into branching scenarios and storytelling and might not require specific software, beyond what you already use.
      The second more advanced course will focus on creating branching scenarios with Articulate Storyline 360 and possibly Vyond animation, so those are the two software programs I’d recommend. Also if you’re interested in developing interactive video, you’ll need a good video editor - personally I use Camtasia, but iMovie or other editors will be ok too.
      If you’d like to learn more about the upcoming course, I’ll be sending out more info via email soon. (You can join the list by entering your email at the Action Mapping Interactive video link under this video).
      I so appreciate your kind words! Your encouragement means a lot to me 😀

      PS. Vyond is what plan to use for the animated video in the course. But if you want to create scenarios using your own live video clips or still images/stock characters, Vyond won’t be required.

    Love your Contents. Very vivid and explanatory Why aren't you monetized yet?

    • @KimberlyGoh
      @KimberlyGoh  2 роки тому

      Thanks so much @Beats by Nachi! UA-cam requires creators to get to 1000 subscribers (and 4000 watch hours per year) before monetization. But I hope to get there soon :)

    Thanks a bunch. When branching, how do I create branches that after visiting 3 different "rooms/branches" guides the learner to the summary/end page?

    • @KimberlyGoh

      That's a great question, Esther! I'll be covering that in my new course "How to Create Powerful Branching Scenarios", which opens for enrollment on 3/22/22 (there's a 50% discount if you enroll early). If you'd like to learn more, please join my email list and I'll send you a discount link as soon as it's available. www.theinteractivestory.com/download-action-mapping-pdf 😀

    Hi Kimberly, I'm a complete novice on creating interactive video content but I can see how a branching technique and bottleneck would be helpful. My needs are slightly different to the ones you are looking at but I wondered if you could advise which of the programs you discuss would be a good place for me to start? I have footage of two different pantomime performances played by two different principals (in three scenes) and I want the option to allow the viewer to watch one version or the other. I have identified the better footage and this will be the main video where neither principal appears. Can you recommend a program that will allow me to offer an option to click on one performance or the other then head back to the main video? Thanks :-)

      Hi Liz, Thanks so much for watching the video! Since you're new to creating interactive content, you might want to look at a platform like Interacr. They don't have features like variables, but it sounds like you might not need that. It's fairly inexpensive and easy to use - you can check it out here: paykstrt.com/19194/108126 (I use Articulate Storyline 360 for my freelance work, so I'm not as familiar with Interactr. But from what I can see, it looks pretty useful :)
