- How to make Pork Tenderloin Jerky. Way better than beef jerky! High Protein, Cheap Snack Without Any Fancy Equipment
⚪FULL RECIPE⚪
~ INGREDIENTS ~
1kg (~2.5 lbs) pork tenderloin (¼ inch slices)
Marinade
80g (5-6 Tbsp) soy sauce
15g (1.5 Tbsp) apple cider vinegar (balsamic might be tasty too)
30g (1.5 Tbsp) honey
2g (0.5 tsp) ground ginger
4g (1 tsp) black ground pepper
2g (0.5 tsp) red pepper flakes (optional)
12g (2 tsp) salt (vary to taste)
Additional Materials
Bamboo skewers
~ INSTRUCTIONS ~
Freeze pork for 4 hours
Slice pork into ~¼ inch thick slices
Mix marinade and cover pork with it
Let meat marinate 30 mins to overnight (the longer the less messy)
Prepare oven racks with a dip sheet on lowest, and set oven to 150-175 F (65-79 C)
Skewer pork slices, keeping ½-1 inch separation between slices and place hanging through rungs of top rack
Leave oven door cracked open with a wooden spoon or other non-flammable utensil for 4.5-5 hours, making sure the meat isn’t sticking to the rack about an hour into drying
Remove skewers from oven, pull jerky off skewers, and dab up any excess fat on the meat
Let cool completely before storing
STORING OPTIONS
Keeps for 2 weeks at room temperature in a sealed container
Refrigerate or freeze (in a freezer-safe container) for a longer lasting supply

Dude this is it as far as cooking channels go for me. The simplicity, the improvisational use of common utensils, the explanation of trial and error that you went through. Dope stuff
That means the world to me, man. I’m just trying to make a channel that I’d want to watch. It’s a pleasure to have you join in on the journey!
Real American shit!
Yes
Looks awesome! Didn’t know it was possible to make jerky this cheap and easy.
This is by far the finest jerky video on UA-cam.
Really digging all your recipes. As someone who is wildly overweight at the moment but has in the past been totally shredded and aesthetic AF with good size. Having some recipes like yours in the cookbook really make dieting down much easier.
Also highly appreciate the macros breakdown. Hope to see more of you. Subbed to your patreon at lowest tier cuz that’s all I can afford.
Burrito video blowing up. Gj
This deserves more attention
This was easy to follow and turned out great! Thank you
cool method with the skewers in the oven! I will definitely try this!
I’m not a fan of regular store bought jerky bc it’s always seemed like sus meat to me lol but I didn’t know it could be this easy to make it on your own. I will definitely try this recipe next week! Thanks for your hard work 💕
Let me know how it goes!
Nice way of using the bamboo and pork meat wow YUM
Thanks for the video. I will use it to make treats for my dog. Without all of the spices of course.
Quality > quantity with this guy's vids.
I love the way you put away the bag of skewers 🎉
Thank you dude. From one cheap person to another
Got to get some skewers as I'm doing pork belly this weekend
Awesome!! I never thought to do it that way!
Cooking as always seemed like the most daunting task for me to learn. The simplicity in your videos make me realize how much I was overthinking it and that with the proper knowledge, you can be healthy and cost efficient at the same time. Keep up the awesome videos man!
I'm currently spending around £30 a week buying beef jerky from the store so I'm going to the next level
Excellent videos, well made, simple instructions, great job here. Happy to subscribe and see what else you have in store.
Old chef hack, if you will press the plastic down on the meat and then against the wall of the bowl instead of around the edge it will eliminate any oxidation from the trapped oxygen in the bowl. Looking forward to future videos!
Your uncle would like to try some of that next time you make it. 😊
Just made another batch. Be my guest 😁
😮wow that is the BEST idea for hanging the meat! I’m definitely doing this. Thanks so much.
You’re very welcome! Enjoy!
You are the man. I can’t believe I never thought of pork jerky and just checked the nutrition on that and it’s great for getting jack city so I’m making some tonight
Thank you for sharing, this is awesome
I love your recipes and content!!! These jerkies look so good :)
Looks amazing! you got a new subscriber here from this video, and the breakfast burrito vid! Amazing!
Genius! I’m making these! 😉
bro im so gonna try this, keep it up man!
Wowww what a recipe!
Question! Why doesn't the jerky last longer than 2 weeks? In the past before electricity, didn't people keep their jerky for months to help survive winter?? I don't get it.
Also I had a couple extra strips that I fried up and wow. It's tasty even if you just pan fry it. I think I will work pork tenderloin into more of my cooking!
i have used beef heart a couple of times works great and its even lower in calorie. also can be found cheaper then pork tendorloin occasionally. not recentely though
That’s an interesting one!
Looks mad tasty and easy to make sweet video! how long does the meat last without refrigeration? Im thinking on making some for a week lomg camping trip
Im trying this method right now. I improvised on the marinate but shouldnt make a difference. i will update on how it turns out! Thanks for the vid!
Update?
@jacobgonzales740 turned out fantastic and I've recommended this method to everyone I know. I liked it so much I ended up buying a big 10 tray dehydrator. Thanks for the vid!
What beef cut can you use?
Whatever lean cut you want! Too much fat and it can go bad quicker.
5.54 👌👌
how long will it last and how should i store it?

How many pieces is a serving?
Whoops I dropped the ball on this 😂.
It’s really up to you how much is a serving. Doing some quick math, 4 pounds of raw pork tenderloin equates to roughly 368 grams of protein, 40 grams of fat, 16 grams of carbs, and 1,920 calories, in total. If you make that 20 servings, you’re looking at 18 grams of protein, 2 grams of fat, 1 grams of carbs, and 96 calories.
How many pieces of jerky is that in total? That depends on how you slice the pieces. But you’re looking at maybe 28 grams or 1oz, roughly, for one serving as described above. My guess is that is between 2 and 4 average pieces, so like 3.
Whqt kind of meet is this exactly
Yo, any new meal prep vids coming up ? Such as the burrito
I’ve got a plenty of meal prep ideas on the docket. Next video, however, is of a smaller recipe.
I’m also open to suggestions if there’s anything you’d like to see made high protein/lower calorie.
Hey what about the parasites that pork can carry? Isn’t that akin to eating toxins in pesticides etc?
I added onion and garlic powder when i made this. Not to much but it definitely changed the profile.
My fredmeyers recently had a buy one get one free of the pork tenderloin. To say the least i have copius amounts of beef jerky and my appartment now PERMANENTLY smells like this
Although it looks pretty cool to make our own jerky, in terms of gas and time ($$), is it worth doing it ourselves?
Very much so worth it
How long does it last? How do you preserve it?
The internet says 1-2 months if stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. When I make it for a week long work trip I take it with me in a ziplock bag. That bag gets abused and the jerky sits in the hot truck at length. In those conditions I don’t like eating it beyond a week. It starts to taste stale, if that makes sense. But when I eat it at home I keep it in a jar or ziplock bag in the fridge and 1-2 months sounds about right to me. Except it never lasts that long lol.
With proper storage how long will this jerky last?

Hello!! Do u have the Per Serving data yet?
it’s homemade it’s not going to have a serving data unless you want to do it yourself
Electricity bill😂😂
How much time can this be stored?
2-3 weeks maybe
wuth jerky this good... you gotta be JERKIN my chain hahHA am i right fellas!!??
Wut
@@ethanpaff yeah!!!
I am getting act up.
Is it safe to make this with chicken?
No, the government will fucking kill you if you use that method with chicken
Wait, so is dehydrated meat in this case uncooked?
Good question. Dehydration qualifies as cooking. It’s cooking but at a low heat.
@@ethanpaff Ah okie cheers
He used temp about 60 C , the protein (which builds muscles) is denaturating (basicly becomes cooked) in 40 C so over 4-5h in this lower temp it is as cooced as 20 min in boiling hot water
repent and trust in Jesus you will be saved
Amen brother
Why so randomly
Repent from what? Repent from unbelieve to believe. Not repent of your sins, thats a wrong gospel!
were in a video about making beef jerky😭😭😭🙏🏼🙏🏼

Low in fat and cheap??
