Ive seen Trent Carlini (RIP) in Las Vegas in 2010, Lee "Memphis" King in Birmingham, and just seen Gordon Hendricks in my home town of Peterborough on 6th Oct 2023, and without a doubt Gordon is THE BEST IN THE WORLD. After seeing him last week, I sought out this video to see the beginning of his stardom. He deserves his success, what a showman!! 🕺

Elvis was very good. Definitely the best Elvis impersonator I've ever heard and I've heard 100s. What a voice and he kinda looked like him which I think helps on this show, even though it really shouldn't. I heard he got better and better as well.
I remember voting for Sarah Brightman when this was on; but Elvis Presley was for sure a deserving winner! 🎶 Celine Dion came in second, despite having a cold. That says a lot for her talent!
I felt so bad for Laura (Celine Dion). I remember watching it and thinking she is struggling to breathe and belt out the power like the first time we saw her because of that cold. You could tell she was saddened by it and struggling. Poor lass. What a cracking voice and I think she would have got thousands more votes on a good day.

Got to be the worst presenter of a generation. No enthusiasm about her whatsoever in those results. Sounded like she was revealing raffle winners at a Macmillan coffee morning.
Couldn't agree more, no enthusiasm whatsoever! Perhaps that explains why there was barely over 250,000 votes in this final compared to Spring 2000 when there was well over 2,000,000! And yeah, Kelly always had plenty of enthusiasm when announcing the results, remember when Chris De Burgh got 501,000+ and 481,000+ votes in the 1999 final and Champion of Champions respectively and also that HUGE number for Freddie Mercury in the Spring 2000 final, Matthew practically screamed the result out!

I actually saw this man live in 2013 at Skegness. Amazing impersonator and he’s actually a nice bloke and such a gentleman.
