Great stuff from a time when you HAD to have real talent to get on a tv "talent show". Colin Gould mentioned his show at the Beck Theatre in Hayes, west London. We were in the audience that day, and of course he could do all Billy's great numbers. When I first moved to Hayes in 1984, to work at EMI, my first landlady near the Beck was the stage manager at the Beck when Billy had performed there, she was a fan of his since her teens, and had treasured memories and momentos of meeting him. After the TV show Colin deservedly toured several times "as" Billy.
This was when television was worth watching without question where the viewers was not so full of criticism of their contestants nor presenters it is just totally rubbish nowadays

This Is better then TV nowadays. Used to get 20 mil plus viewers on the finals. Not even x factor gets that
