- The very first Christmas Special with the show's new host Matthew Kelly, featuring a host of singalookalikes including a comedy musical sketch with Marc Almond, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole (previous series winner), Cilla Black, Madonna & Cyndi Lauper. Other acts include Cliff, Elvs, David Essex and the now infamous Gary Glitter.
Thanks for uploading, i appeared along with my school choir! Still remember it clearly to this day.
The Sinatra impersonation is the best I have ever heard. I seem to remember him not winning the show he appeared on. Unbelievable! Wish I could find that show...
Cilla Black 😂🤣 jaysus
Adam Pacitti reacting to this made me come here
I was laughing so much 😂
Great programme.
My god I used to love watching this.
Someone needs to upload videos of thie show. I recently heard a guy singing luther vandross and I was blown away. He was awesome.
Thank you for uploading the 1993 Stars in Their Eyes Christmas special Gary, it was wonderful to see it again as it got me in the festive spirit
Thank you for uploading this the good old days
"i was doing gary gtlitter in a country club, one night" hahaha...i bet he had glitter all over his face
Adam Pacitti's favourite Christmas Special
I wonder if the Gary Glitter guy still gets a lot of kids party & OAP bookings?
Oh dear Gary Glitter.. Bet he wished he hadnt been him now
Adrian Spencer what about the man that did cliff Richard?
@@DEC19775 Cliff Richard isn’t a kiddy fiddler
Rock Chick Supremeo I mean the man that impersonated cliff Richard I'm a big fan of that song he does
@@DEC19775 oh my bad sorry
Rock Chick Supremeo do you think he did a good impersonation of cliff Richard
Jimmy gets cliff richard to a tea I know because the song he sings is my favourite Christmas song
13:20. The Marc Almond is a brilliant performance, because it looks like him, although not what he'd have done, but it somehow appears so similar and bloody good. A bit like his Sex Dwarf effort!
According to wikipedia, the Stars in Their Eyes epsode from 1993 with David Essex played by Brendad Mullarky, is from the 19th June. But this can't be correct as a few days before ITV aired a current affairs programme called Disappearing World - War, and this is from 25th May 1993. The episode with David Essex (not including the Grand Final) will be from the 29th May 1993. Why is wikipedia so inaccurate and where are the people entering the information getting their "facts" from?.
Nothing like him
Opp
❤
Hi there, sadly we lost contact with one another. Very shocked to hear about Bernie . You bet I would do it again, I had SO much fun. :)
2:34 - Ouch....
2:46 did you lose any credibility??? Haha. Bet he doesn't do it now.
Hi it's Cilla 'ere,!!! WOW! Been looking for this for ages! Thanks Gazza, remember me? Shazza? Cilla? xxx
Cliff Richard looked more like Deirdre off Coronation Street.
Gary glitter.. LoL
The gary glitter one is really good! Great song too
I remember you top stuff.
What was the whole experience like?
Are u in contact with anyone?
Wud u do it all again?
All the best.
Tonight Matthew I’m going to be a revoked hate figure
Ritchie should of had a crack at Sting
Looks like the bloke playing Glitter needs an identity change.....
Was expecting Frankie Valli when he walked out!
Fuck me...Cilla's been overdoing it with the testosterone...
I used to work with Frank Roche..... Less said, the better.
I was married to him the less said the better
I thought he was excellent
Why? What was he like as himself?
That first performance aged like milk
Oh dear lol still at the time we didn't know about Glitters real personality.
The women imitating Madonna sounds way better than her!
are you kidding < ;,,,../
86 arm waves by the poor Fred Roach pretending to be a kiddy fiddler.
Aan Aan
Tragic...............Tragic
The only thing enjoyable about this christmas special was the wonderful performance by Garry Sneddon as Marc Almond, if it wasn't for that fun and festive performance I may have been haunted by the horrors of the Gary Glitter performance which preceded them.
This aged... badly. Yikes
Before the wokes wiped The Leader from history
