Man this is 100 times easier to tie and remember, I did it once and I got it, I have been doing it a different way for years and I could never remember it when it would have been handy. Yup, this video is quick and easy. I knew this knot was useful but I was too lazy to try to figure out how to remember it. Now I know, form two rabbit ears, put one on top of the other, pull the bight through and tightened down. Easy.
The visible at end of making this knot: loop and two loose ends at other side make it possible to wrap them around the loop in a way that makes a Prussik knot which is one way to have it slide and be a quicker release knot.
I only very recently have gotten kind of a hobby in knots, and was just wondering, after I did it and looked at it, I realized it looked like the X knot, or constrictor knot, except on this the rope cinches down on itself in 4 places instead of 2, am I right or wrong, is this a double x knot?
Nothing, really. Needs a finishing knot on the loose ends and there's no fkng way you're carrying 40 lbs of water with that little handle any easier than using the built-in one and supporting the bottom with your other hand.
This is the easiest way to tie the bottle sling that I've ever seen! Good job!

Is it really a bottle knot? For me, it looks similar, but it forms two loops and does not hold the bottle right.

It does look wrong at the end, the lower left lag should pass through the middle of the two lines before it leaves.
