Another upgrade for the huina 1580/580. Hopefully this is a higher torque and faster motor and gearbox :)
Its not an overly complicated upgrade, but one that i've want to try out for a while ....... i'm getting tired of hearing clicks of doom from accidentally rotating into something , or trying to level out more then a few mm of soil !

Nice, good to know how to access the inner circuit board. Wanting to switch the boom wires so it lowers with down input on controller.
just make sure you swap the right ones lol
The boom motor ones are fairly straightforward, it’s the green plug. Works great and now reversed but need to figure out which wires are the limiter cutoffs so they work with the motor direction being reversed. No diagrams online unfortunately

I’m honestly shocked a 500 dollar hobby grade rc doesn’t have channel reversing. Pretty standard on most car, truck, plane, heli rc’s.
its set up like a real excavator so i guess they thought people would be fine with how it works ?

Thanks, glad you like it . Its worth doing a couple things to get the 580 working a bit better, but straight out the box it is quite capable. If you not digging in prepared / loosened soil or sand the best thing to get is a ripper attachment , and maybe a quick release
thats a great choice of upgrade for this unit. Its truly a awesome rig..
Its not a massive upgrade , but 1 i thought worthwhile doing. I think everyone needs a digger in their collection, its still my favorite :)
did it make any stronger man far as the clicking ?
yes, is a stronger rotation and a little quicker

Yes I can . but why do I fill in the data every time I fill in the date of birth, how come it always says something wrong.The format must be 31/05/1970. Even though I have followed it but it keeps getting wrong. how do you solve it?
@@sadarbox5131 i'm not too sure, maybe there is an issue with their website? You could try 05/31/1970 ? I have used them for a year or 2 , so was a while back when i made an account and can't remember how to set it up.

Hi I know you did your up grade a year ago I was wondering how is it going still with the new motor has it altered anything the power or the mother board mine has a trouble slewing one way so thinking of your motor I live in auzzie cheers 😊
To be honest i havent really had much of a chance to use it recently, but i don't remember it causing any issues to the MB. Its a faster and stronger motor then the stock one and improved the performance though.

@Granite-City-RC hi sorry to bother you again I received my new gear box the other day it had no wires on it from the company you brought yours from I only have a red dot next to the terminal I have emailed the company but they have not answered me😌 could you tell me would the red dot mean positive wire think it would be myself hope to hear from you again Shaun 😀
@@shaungwatkin1638 Hi Shaun, from what i remember the red dot was the positive side. I un soldered the wires from the stock motor and used them for the new motor. Get it all fixed into place and give it a test before putting the top back on in case i am wrong though lol

I do like a Huina upgrade, matey is it as dark in that room as it seems, your really gonna do your eyes no favors lol
LOL, it not the brightest of rooms , back of the house is north facing .... and the energy saving bulb might be like 15 years old lol i might need to get a desk lamp at some point
@@Granite-City-RC I use the 2ft led Battens in my workshop from screw them under the shelf and hey presto, pretend daylight and they use nowt as my workshop is off grid.
@@ianbarnes6266 Cool, i've not got room for 2' battens, but can maybe get a clip on light or 2 for the shelving unit next to the desk :) But gonna be a while , saving all i can to maybe get a hydraulic digger ... seeing as my RC fund is like £10 a week and they cost like £1500 might be some time lol
@@Granite-City-RC Yeah saving is a chore these days, Ive just bought myself an RC4WD 1/14 all metal Dozer, the prices are crazy at about $3200, I picked mine up, it was a shelf queen £900
@@ianbarnes6266 Nice, i just wish Huina did a dozer in the £400 ish range. They got the cheap one , but doesn't look that capable
