I came across test vehicle on Pune Nashik Highway and was trying to catch up with Nexon EV Max as I raced to distant small blob what seemed like a wrapped Curvv EV as I got closer which took some effort since test driver was driving enthusiastically as I got closer 2 car lengths I got good a glimpse of rear and sparked my curiosity even more to chase and get a sneak peek of this USO(Unidentified Speeding Object) from sides , inside and front ;for which I pushed EV max with all the horses that motor could provide me in sports mode still this test vehicle was maintaining and pulling away somehow managed to push EV MAX and Finally got revealed to this Mahindra BE05 with a beautiful Rear, Tastefully done sides, and what looked like AeroDam in the Front Beautiful Font over all I was amazed by the size of this vehicle, photos don’t do justice to BE05. End Of The Story, it’s a beautiful and Fingers Crossed for M&M let this be your best EV since you guys are oldest EV players of this country Go Get It. All the best!

I would love to see Mahindra & Mahindra use Pininfarina designers (currently owned by MM) to create some timeless designs. The issue with the BE05 and XUV e9 is that their designs might look futuristic now but could appear out of place or boring after a few years; such designs don’t age well. Our Indian manufacturers need to learn from German or Italian designers to create designs that remain appealing even after many years of use.

really? Tata is offering 55Kwh battery with a promised range of around 585km and in real world scenario it is giving 400Km range meanwhile Mahindra is giving just 450Km of range (not IRL range this is promised range) with a huge battery of 80kwh. Mahindra is still easily behind Tata in ev sector
You've completely messed up the product timelines. The first of Mahindra's EVs on INGLO platform will in fact be the electric version of XUV700 i.e. XUV.e8 to be launched in December 2024. Followed by XUV.e9 in April 2025, BE.05 in October 2025 and finally BE.07 in April 2026. This is as per their announcements at the Futurescape event held on 15th August 2023. The BE.09 is still a concept as it is imagined to be a 4 seater grand tourer with an 80KWh battery pack. So an ultra niche product.

For a 2025 EV the 1.7c fast charge speed is Ultra Slow. Should be 3c or 5c fast charging with 800v/48v EV architecture like Maruti EVX. Everything else fine.
I have Tata Curvv EV . It is a fantastic vehicle. Equally Mahendra is also quite capable of producing great EV cars. These two companies should come together to counter Chinese EV domination. In so far as BE. 05 is concerned , it is slightly overdone for my taste .

Mahindra's INGLO platform uses both Prismatic (Unified Cells) from Volkswagen and Blade cells from BYD. Mahindra is also in talks with Volkswagen India group to expand their partnerships upto 50GWh and build a full scale cell manufacturing plant at Shirur, Maharashtra. Where they'll be producing 3GWh of VW's unified cells per year, expandable upto 5GWh in future. However initial EVs from Mahindra will come with Blade cells sourced from BYD.

These cars are being tested since June 2023 because they will be launched simultaneously in other markets. Watch their Futurescape event where they show their battery development and testing facility in MRV. And these EVs will be manufactured in a dedicated plant with production capacity of upto 300K units.
Who lnows by the time 2025, may be sodium ion or some other tech replace the lithium-ion battery and its biggest suppliers like BYD. There should have more efficient motors too. The one who make use of current tech in India is Tata motors only.Others are not confident or smart like Tata does. It might be interesting to see the upcoming competition.

It is meant for quick recharge and quarter the price of li ion batteries. Unlike lithium, Na is abundantly available. Some of them believe, Na batteries are waiting just to clear the li battery inventory.
We tax paying customers would like to bring the cost as low as possible. Avoid unnecessary lights and futures, improve the quality and reliability and give a car that is affordable to common public. Technology is to provide safety and adequate comfort. Please do not overdo in terms of electronics and design. We customers have to bear it at the end of the day by paying taxes multiple times. Train the service technicians to the next level so that we customers can peacefully buy and maintain high end technology cars. Build the basics strong.

The Marazzo was completely a Pininfarina design. While the XUV700 was jointly designed by MIDS with inputs from Pininfarina.

Who lnows by the time 2025, may be sodium ion or some other tech replace the lithium-ion battery and its biggest suppliers like BYD. There should have more efficient motors too. The one who make use of current tech in India is Tata motors only.Others are not confident or smart like Tata does. It might be interesting to see the upcoming competition.
Sodium ion is not ready for EV yet, it is worse energy density than LFP which by itself is last among NMC and NCA chemistry used by western EVs
@@7567_Rex Yes it is not yet ready, but may be in 2025. Who minds if it runs only 250 km when it can fully recharge in less than 10 mins. It is meant for quick recharge and quarter the price of li ion batteries. Unlike lithium, Na is abundantly available. Some of them believe, Na batteries are waiting just to clear the li battery inventory.

What you see are the pre production models and that was the point of the video. They have been testing these models since June 2023.
Looks way better than Curvv. Sadly it won’t be coming in ICE versions.

We tax paying customers would like to bring the cost as low as possible. Avoid unnecessary lights and futures, improve the quality and reliability and give a car that is affordable to common public. Technology is to provide safety and adequate comfort. Please do not overdo in terms of electronics and design. We customers have to bear it at the end of the day by paying taxes multiple times. Train the service technicians to the next level so that we customers can peacefully buy and maintain high end technology cars. Build the basics strong.
