    I’m going to show you how to easily sync your audio faster with timecode using your Tascam & Zoom audio recorders, so if you are a filmmaker that records your video using a mirrorless camera and audio using a standalone recorder like the Tascam DR-10L Pro or another recorder like the Tascam X8, X6, Zoom F2, F3, F6, etc all of which support wireless timecode with Atomos Ultrasync, this video is going to show you how to set it up so you can quickly and easily synchronize all of your audio and video that you have recorded by just clicking two buttons in your editing software!

    Timecode for multicam and audio is really underrated thing lot of videographers dont know about.
    Click of a button and davinci syncs the multicam timeline in 0.1 seconds. No analyzing audio tracks, no waiting, no errors with some audio files not syncing up etc.

    This is a good workaround but it seems a little clunky as well. The deity pr2s coming out will negate the need for an ultra sync blue because they have time code built in and can be monitored on the app. Also they will be cheaper. Then you can get the cheaper deity tc1 to mount on camera, overall save money and less parts to potentially fail. I get where you are going with this Matt you are trying to appeal to those who already have their gear but for those that don’t this is a better long term investment.

    I shoot ceremonies with up to 8 cameras & several recorders/lav mics & I edit in Resolve so I know how hit & miss the sync audio by waveforms can be. My solution to the whole “timecode” scenario was to purchase “Syncaila” & itI have never an issue since. Even all the little individual 5 second clips form my roving gimbal are synced perfectly & I can shoot any frame rate & there is no extra pressure on the day having to worry about all that timecode setup stuff. Nice review but no thanks!…….lol👍🤗🤘👌I’d love to see you test & review Syncaila. 😝

    Hello Mr. Matt....what to say? You nail it with the awesome teaching style. When have a chance see if there a way to pair ultrasyncblue with iphone 15 pro max that I use for video recording.
    I do use blackmagic camera app which pair nicely with iphone 15, but blackmagic app refuses to talk with syncblue :). Pretty sure is a compatibility thing. For audio recording I am using 2 Tascam DL-10L Pro and Portacapture X8 as a back up, I could sync tascam products with ultra sync.... the video portion is what I need to sync too. Hopefully , I don't have to buy a camera :). Send me your thoughts. Note: Thank you for the cheat sheet, I am one of those that like to read (refresher) after a video.

    Diety has a nice timecode ecosystem, but the PR-2 is delayed on its release, and their wireless Theos sets don’t record and transmit at the same time for the US. Tentacle also has a nice system.

  • @RuXTaR
    @RuXTaR 6 місяців тому +1

    Why not go with with a Deity system? The wireless transmitters record internally 32 bit float and support timecode. And the timecode kit from Deity syncs just like the transmitters through the app. You'll be able to monitor audio where as with the recorders you can't. Yes it's more expensive but I think it's a more open system that would work with more gear than the Atomos one.

    Before anyone with a Nikon Z8 or Z9 runs out and buys two timecode devices, note that both cameras can receive timesync over Bluetooth directly from the Ultrasync Blue. Therefore, for example, a Nikon Z8/Z9 and a Zoom F2-BT, could both receive timesync from one Ultrasync Blue device over Bluetooth.

    • @JulesFree
      @JulesFree 6 місяців тому

      Actually, the Nikon Z8 doesn’t use the MB-10 grip. It uses the MB-12 grip. I’m not aware of, nor could I find references to any timecode restrictions when using the MB-12 grip.
      Nikon’s Z8 is a top professional video camera. It would be surprising if it restricted access to a key professional feature. :)

    • @AdamKuzniar
      @AdamKuzniar 6 місяців тому +1

      1. You group up synced video with synced audio clips so that no matter where you move them they stay in sync
      2. The cameras can be across the world or on a moon and it would sync perfectly.

    • @whoismatt
      @whoismatt  6 місяців тому +1

      What Adam said. As long as you start the sync even if the timecode devices lose their wireless connection they will still hold time and reconnect when they get close again. You do have to consider there could be timecode drift where the audio and video could get out of sync by a second or two if the devices are disconnected for many hours.

    • @lowerleftside
      @lowerleftside 6 місяців тому

      @@lowerleftsideYes. Just sync everything at the beginning of the day and as long as your gear all stays relatively close together it should stayed synced.
