Wow, what a fantastic demo of this song. Many beautiful synths being used here to make this. Just takes you back to when this song was in the charts. Was only a little child then lol. Got to say you make some really good demos of these songs. No I take that back you make fantastic demos. Enjoyed watching this and I hope you have a great Easter and thanks for sharing this. Just love this channel and what you do. Thank you for your time in making this for us.
Thank you again Michael. I was a child too in the year 1980 but these synth classic was so different. I ever loved the atmosphere. Happy easter and I wish you a great weekend. 🙌✨☀️
Geil!
@@retrosound72 So true. For my situation I want to start up a new prog band, one that focuses in the works of Genesis, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer and rush. For my rig, I want to use authentic, period-centric sounds. I know the psyche of true Genesis fans. And performing the solos on Cinema show and other greats on the And Then There Are Three and Duke albums, it is always disappointing to here Tony's solos on new syth, and not on a Pro Soloist.
@@retrosound72 I have a Rev2, Which means I can reproduce faithfully. Some of the sounds on the genesis album. Do you know of anybody that wants to unload their E-mu Emulator II or a Quadra?
Belle reussite de cover, qsurtout qu'i n'est pas facile d'avoir toutes les machines d'origines du morceau CR78, Fairlight ect. J'esaye en ce moment moi aussi de le refaire au plus proche mais pas avec toute les machines d'origine.
So evocative! The composer of Fade to Grey, Chris Payne, has a UA-cam chanel where he explains how he came to write it with Billy Currie, and how Midge Ure and Rusty Egan made it into the final product. A song that, for me, defined an entire era of music, and is responsible for my love of synths. He started writing it when he was at college as a music student. The video is here (if YT allows references) ua-cam.com/video/AmF_jeokUX8/v-deo.html or search for Christopher Payne.

Great to hear these songs in such high-quality. All the texture. Thanks.
Thank you for your kind words
One of the great synth songs. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for your feedback 🙌
Wow...nailed it doesn’t even begin to describe how on-point this is. When the vocal didn’t come in, my brain vapor locked!
Thank you for your feedback
Nice sounds!. Those Quadra strings fit excellent, as the Minimoog does :)
Thank you Jose 🙌🎹
Pioneering tune, I think it the secret dream of any keyboardist in love with synth pop.

Absolut. Auch für mich ist das einer der ganz großen Synthi Klassiker aus den frühen 80er Jahren. Irgendwie zeitlos. Kann ich mir nicht überhören. 🖤🎹

Agreed
Honestly, as an 80s kid I never liked the Minimoog. But the PPG and the Arp Quadra more than make up for it 😉 Great video!
