Wow! What am amazing video! Great sightings there! As usual, you kept the main thing the main thing - the animal sightings and the game drives! Kudos to that! And, great narration all through the video - there was not a single dull moment. And, amazing encounter with those bull elephants during your lunch stop. You brought out the tension very well through the video. And, kudos to those slow motion shots of the antelopes! Keep up your amazing safari videos! Love them!

Yes, this was in June and I believe Botswana had been suffering from a draught. I would love to come back in the green season and compare things. I've heard really amazing things about Mombo camp!

Yes..Lycoan Pictus is always a thrill and experience to see...I was lucky..and it was real luck when travelling into Moremi.... almost missed them resting in the shade... Sable antelope would be another "top" antelope..along with kudu. ...plan ahead and look to South Luangwa ...or Selous / Ruaha for wild dog...especially if encountered on a walking safari!!! Yes ..birdlife and sunsets and the environment are a fine part of any safari.. We must remember the vital role of the rangers and organisations who protect the wildlife and ecosystems. @@EllaMcKendrick Yes the numbers of wild dog there have increased . I was very lucky to encounter them on two visits...one many years ago when walking between camps They were harassing Zebra....which is how they were spotted...the group of 5 then killed an impala in front of us...!! Saw then in Ruaha a couple of years ago....at a remote camp..Kichaka...
@EllaMcKendrick Yep, I believe it has the highest density of leopards anywhere in the world. The last time I was there we even got tired of seeing them.😃😃
Actually yes! It was 10 years ago now in a reserve in South Africa. I was walking around my lodge building and found one outside its burrow in the daytime just below my lodge. I couldn't believe it! But I really wasn't expecting to see any animals on my walk so I didn't have a camera with me. It quickly retreated back into its burrow when it saw me.

Botswana is a lot quieter than Tanzania - there are far fewer game vehicles in the parks and so there's less commotion at sightings which makes it feel special. The landscapes in Botswana and Tanzania are very different but special in their own ways. In Botswana you have the Okavango Delta whilst in Tanzania you have the sprawling Serengeti. Wildlife is mostly similar although in Botswana you have African wild dogs (they're also in southern Tanzania but but north) and in Tanzania you have the great wildebeest migration. Those are some of the many differences. Both are spectacular wildlife destinations in their own right
Botswana is an awesome country, it has been continuously democratic since 1966. There are only 4 post colonial countries which have been continuous democracies since 1970 1) Botswana 2) India 3) Mauritius 4) Costa Rica Also Botswana and India have been the world's fastest growing democracies for 5 decades. Only those countires which pushed 1 child policy or iron fisted development policies have grown faster than India and Botswana. Most of the diamonds mined in Botswana are polished in Surat in India.

You visited at a time when its a little dry come around February the place is so green looks like eden i used to work at Mombo camp it's amazing

Now that you've done Kenya, Tanzania and Botswana I think it's time you came to Zambia - South Luangwa or Lower Zanbezi National Parks in particular.
Funny you should say that, Zambia is one of my 2025 trips! So many people have recommended South Luangwa to me, especially for leoaprds
