Here is how I price vehicles I sell. What can you buy and what is for sale/available for the money they offer? You can’t find mustangs in that condition anywhere for less that 9-10k
I don't disagree. We just wouldn't pay that price. Mustangs that have been stored outside uncovered for years could have rusty floors, frame rails, etc. that may need to be replaced. Here in california, that could prove to be very expensive. Not a price we are willing to pay, but you are right, somebody will. lol👍
We like coupes as well. I owned 66 and 67 coupes. When the fastback became available at a price I could except I had to buy the more valuable option. But I would love to own another one. Even a 6 cylinder as they are much cheaper. Although I prefer the 67 coupe over the earlier ones I would buy whatever is available at a good price.....👍
@@MicRuLerZ Or sound right. LOL. Stay tuned I'm replacing the motor in our Channels black 65 fastback. Video will be up later in the week. Thanks for subscribing!
Fellow in my neighborhood has a 65 fastback sitting in his yard. It has been there for over 39 years . I don't know the history of this vehicle but from its appearance both exterior and interior it needs a lot work. He is willing to sell it but is asking far more than what it is worth. Such a shame to see it sitting there going to waste.
Yep. See that a lot. Old Classic cars with a story sitting for extended periods with no hope of being placed back in service anytime soon. When you inquire about the vehicle, it's not for sale, or the price is unreasonable .
Everybody in this thread is out of touch with current prices. 5-10k gets you a car you still will have to put another 10-15k in. Used, new, and classic cars are at an all time high.
Sounds like a great Mustang. I would keep it original and buy and second Mustang if I wanted to play around with performance modifications. What you have its getting much harder to find. 👍💯
Glad I found your channel 👍🏾. I’d definitely buy if it has engine & tranny. I’m currently looking and seeing lots of rust, so your intel is much appreciated
I have a 1973 H code coupe with a running and cammed 351c cj. I do not know what its worth but I have a 351-2v car with the cj motor. Mid restoration and mild rust
Thats sounds like a Mach 1 right? Fulling restored in top condition they can be 50k plus cars. I would check the bringatrailer.com website to check to see how much they are selling for. Its a great site with live multi-day auctions with real buyers and sellers. Great Site. Thanks for your feedback and don't forget to SUBSCRIBE!
@@alwysnxtgen8405 A Mach 1 Optioned coupe. :) Nice as well but of course not the same value. I'm interested to know what Hagerty's website says. Let me check. Lol
Fair $6,800 - $21,800 Concours. Still a good value. With our current Fastback we try to stay within spitting range of the estimated value. Not something I have always done in the past. :)
Idk where you live. But here in Cali V6 mustangs 65-70 sell for 5-7k in those conditions. The V8 sell for 8-15k. I bought my C code with minimal surface rust, beautiful floor pans & trunk area with a running original 289 for 9,000$. All the ones I’ve seen posted in that range sell pretty fast too even at the higher price range. The cheapest I’ve seen for sale is a 66 same condition as the V8 in this video non running for 8k
We are in California as well. Unfortunately youtube does not let you make corrects like they used too so we are both talking about the inline 6 vs V8. I'm in California as well. I personally would not pay 7k for the V8 listed in this video. It's been outside for at least 3 years. Rust/body repair is far more expensive to repair than engine and drivetrain. The price you paid is what I would look for. If a person pays 5k-7k for cars shown in this video it would cost way more than a final price of 9k to get them in the same condition as your! You did good! Thanks for watching!
Old school car shells are selling for 6-7000$ these days. You won’t find any old schoool car for cheap it any condition right now. All cars are high priced right now old and new.
I have what my husband called a 1964and a half mustang. He bought it as a project. It isn't running. Whatever number there are match. My husband died. I'm in SC. If anyone is interested, please reply to this comment.
I agree. I would love to own another coupe as well. Just put a lot of coupe funds into new engine for fastback. But if I can find one in the budget I buy it!!! 👍
If you are buying these to flip after restoring them you'll loose money especially on the one with a straight six ) (it's not a v6) The v 6s did not come out until the pathetic Mustang II's. If youre in them to flip for profit look for a Convertible or a fastback.
Agreed. unfortunately can edit once you hit publish. .Lol😆 Yep its best to bye an already completed car that someone is willing to part with at a good price. 👍
It's hard to buy a running mustang for that price in the bay area but I understand your evaluation. The cost to repair that car would definitely exceed its value so I understand. Thanks for your feedback! 💯👍
Not as much as owners are asking for them and how much the fools are dishing out for one. Oh I'm a Ford guy all day everyday but I feel like it's just gotten so out of hand, with all classic cars.
Everyones price is personal so I can't disagree. It just wouldn't be on my list for that price. In my opinion, the body work, rust repair and painting would exceed their value. Especially in California where labor cost is high! Thanks for Watching and providing feedback. !!

Ford didn't make a V6 in the '60s they inline 6s.

Getting harder to find intact first-generation mustangs. Buy what you can afford to fix up. Parts are cheap.
Yep. Finding something you can work with for a reasonable price is getting very difficult.
If the blue mustang is an original owner 65 with documentation could be worth buying. Red 6 I wouldn't be interested.
I agree. The 65 mustang (blue) has more potential in the long term. thanks for watching
Imagine looking out your window and somebody is just casually filming your car...
I would say both are in the range of $3,500 to $5,500 depending on the condition of the floor, trunk pan, frame rails and torque box's.
I totally agree with you! Rust is the biggest concern with these two mustangs.
BTW. I love the body work on your channel. Great job! I subscribed!
65,66 did not have torque boxes unless it’s a vert
Agreed. Some folks add them to non-verts to stiffen chassis. Thanks for watching!
The "trunk pan" is the gas tank !
The coupe has reverse lights, they didn’t have any backup lights on a 1965 or earlier!!!!
2:34 little late on the blur haha.
Pricing is subjective, I'm a body man for many years and they weren't called rustangs for nothing, look beyond the paint.
I agree. Sometimes you have to pick your poison. Rust vs drivetrain👍
That looks like where I live, in Oakland
Straight 6 not a V6. V8's were 260 and 289

Yes. that is correct. can't correct after video is live. There is a link that comes up at that time with the correction but you have to click on it. 👍
The red mustang was not originaly a V8, It was a 6 cylinder
It looks like a 6 cylinder to me. Do you know if it was converted to a V8? It still looks to have 6 cylinder wheel lugg setup.

You are referiing to an I6 engine. NOT a v6. Most cars in the 60s came with inline 6 cylinder engines and NOT V6. They came later in the mid 70s .
