My 1966 GT Fastback that I bought new in April 1966 is still going great ( my 26 year old son drives it to work) dealer installed tri-power and lots of goodies ( I worked the parts 🎉counter at Williams Ford in Berea Ohio) . To bad you didn’t mention a price range. Vintage Burgundy and black GT interior. As a side note only 11% 1966 mustangs were delivered with stamped steel wheels but everyone on the market has them - I have two sets of original ones and a set of aftermarket on the car- original ones were riveted but the aftermarket ones are welded ( probably better)
I don't like people nor a few however I like this him. Some will say he is stuck up or snobby however just listen to the man he knows his stuff & says it confident
If you are a collector or enthusiast of classic Mustang and looking for the „real“ one, thats the workshop, thats Quality Classics. Good video, thanks for the insights, best regards from Switzerland
Awesome cars. My dream car is 65 fastback in prairie bronze. I’m recently got a 65gt coupe(believed to be GT) to restore. And it’s a basket case at moment.
A follow- up on my last post I still have the original exhaust system on the car ( as a 20 year old in put the original system in the barn and installed header etc ( kids right) found them and put them back on) still have the original radio but it’s on the shelf
My 65 Fastback is a restomod fully modified Racing Toploader 4 speed, Mc Cloud clutch, Scatter Shield, 347 Stroker 8,000 rpm rev limiter, 4 WPDB, Lincoln Versailles 9inch, 389 detroit locker, 31 spline axels all the Shelby mods and some, Caspian Blue white interior San Jose car # 227 off the line. Owned since 1978. I used to run a Paxton Supercharger when no one knew what they were 8PSI. I get 1000 smiles to the gallon.
Great Video Michael! Very useful information, I did not know the GT package did not come standard with the style steel wheels and the pony interior. In my head I thought those two were part of the package, so it is awesome to learn new things! Beautiful Cars, as always!
Is back in the 80s had a 65 coupe title said 2460 weight It had a 2894v hipos had it rebuilt 11:1 compression holly600 single exhaust Used to get 7000rs easy very loud engine and man The Lightest and quickest cars I loved it. So light!!!!!!!
Hello, Michael. I like your content very informative. I have a question. I have a 67 GT S code 390 fastback with moss, green and parchment interior grupe. Do You have any information on the parchment interior colors.I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you Michael
Would it increase the value of any American muscle car if it had exotic provenance? Example - My dad used to own a Mustang 289 hardtop in Jamaica in the late 70s so would that history make it worth more?
Great Video.... What an amazing Mustang... Does mileage mean anything in the collector market... What is your feeling on the new Mustangs and GT500's?? Harold
Mileage means VERY LITTLE to most if remediated by repairs, enhancements and proper maintenance. Ford has done a great job of keeping the halo car exciting. I think the new Mustangs are wonderful .... I am just waiting on them to age out a bit before I purchase my first "modern" Stang.
Hi there I have a 2nd owner 65 C code Fastback all matching number's original 75,000 miles original engine bay all running gear is absolutely original I'm in Australia the car originally comes from California it's original Raven black with gold stripes original Shelby steering wheel and also on the boot/trunk. Kind Regards Phillip Musso.
good luck with it, if you install a flowmaster over the axle 2.5 inch pipe set up, well my 66 GT picked up 5 mph in the quarter mile. every thing else the same . original pipes are like 1.8 inches and crinkle bent.
I respect and love mustangs. My concern is the newer generation. I don’t think that they care at all for these classics. We are going to see a huge depreciation of classic cars in general in the coming years.
I sell a respectable percentage of my vintage cars to guys below 30. It would be even higher if the prices had not gotten so high on these cars. Most of my buyers are more focused on the experience versus future appreciation, however every one of my buyers over the last 20 years has enjoyed significant appreciation. Big returns in the fun factor too.
So what would a real GT, k-code, 2+2/fastback, 65 289 hypo, i have all papers match, dashboard is signed by lee iacoca and the glass to the rally pak tach is signed by c.shelby, any clue what it would be worth
@@melvinsmiley5295sorry, i ended up selling that car, bought a house and am using the rest to put my daughter through college, even though i got a lot of money for it, i miss that car, such a head turner
I don’t get yhe prevalence if it’s a gt or not. The options for them are everything . I’ve seen 2 barrel gts. Who the hell wants that. To me it’s if a fastback #1. Next is the engine. Any k code mustang is wanted. But the k code could come in all the tops. Coupe, convertible or fastback. Also an automatic or manual. Some could even be ordered with a supercharger. Anyways my 66 fastback is a c code built and owned for most of its life in LA. Now I own it and have the California black plate. I blew the 289 a few years ago and replaced it with a 347. The car has less than 80000 miles since built. I guess what I’m saying is the gt option is overrated.
I found a barn find 1966 fast back 2 + 2 200 six limited edition of the celebration of the millionth mustang made, it was built 30 days after the millionth mustang in San Jose California, has pony interior wood grain steering wheel wood glove box wood grain counsel has wire wheel covers, color is Tahoe terqouis, floors are good shape, trunk is good shape. What’s it worth.

I remember in 1966 when I was a kid I checked out a green fastback at a local park with the fold down seat I fell in love with it!❤
Yes that's when it generally happens ... mine moment was with my little Match Box car (White 65 fastback with Red interior)

WOW VERY INFORMATIVE, GUYS , I LEARN SO MUCH FROM THIS AMAZING FANTASIC VIDEO ON VINTAGE MUSTANG VALUES.. LOVE IT.-THANKS FOR POSTING.
Whoever picked the music 🎉 great job.
I would love it if you did a history video of Jim Morrison’s Shelby. Great job on this video👍🏻❗️
That would be cool ... I have watched that video more than a few times.

Just curious,do all 65 mustang fastback GTs come with a center console?

You should do one on coupes!
That sounds sweet! Is there many differences between the 65 and 66?

I have a 67 Peruvian built mustang, they made only 375 mustangs in Peru in 67
Beautiful models, and great garage you've got there!
Thank you very much.
I just bought 65 fast back GT ,my question is there a difference between GT and GT 350 also I want to know how many models of fastback are there .
I would love to buy it.

Yes, this in fact was with the new exhaust .

Have you ever seen a 1966 GT Fastback with factory optional 8-track Radio?
What would be the measurements on it?
Great video! I will eventually purchase a fastback from you.
I hope I someday end up with one that will work for you. Please sign up at our sight to receive updates on our inventory.
How do you verify the cowl is not almost gone, most important part my 02
Awesome 👍😎
Very beautiful cars. 👍 But why don't you show os how to verify this value attributes? 🤔
Good question, we should have but ran out of editing time ... I will be doing exactly that very soon.

It would be great if one searched your website and could see your asking prices!!!!!
How can I find your asking price on this car?
The best way to keep up with our offerings and prices is to type in your e-mail at our site and you will get pricing and all the details
Would u sell it?
This might be the only one owner mustang left in the USA

Do you take trades ? Just curious.
Id love to have a 67/68 Fastback one day.
I have never done a trade but imagine that will one day change.
@@QualityClassics i appreciate your reply. I’m 55 yrs old and have a few really good rides.
I was just curious more then anything.
Just wish he had mentioned the other value, like how much you would pay for one of these beauties.

Not sure I have an answer for you ... easier to respond when you have actually examined the car
The only setback with this car is the steering wheel 🛞 should have been shorter 🙏🇺🇦🙌🏾👍🇲🇽👏🏿🐐💔
good grief get to the point
