It's always a cause for concern when you see a pedal trying to recreate something as monumental as a Leslie Speaker Cabinet. I've tried 10's of rotary effects pedals and while they were fun, they definitely didn't sound, or mainly, feel, like the real thing. We just took a giant leap closer though, thanks to the Electro Harmonix Lester-K!
Guitarists and keyboardists know that nothing beats a Leslie rotary speaker for smooth, swirling stereo chorus. The Electro-Harmonix Lester-K pedal re-creates the classic Leslie sound in pedal form with two adjustable speeds controlled by a footswitch to move between fast and slow textures without tying up your hands. The Lester-K's drive control adds B-3 guts and grit to your sound, while a balance control, which simulates the balance between a Leslie's horn and bass speaker, helps smooth out your tone. I was hoping to hear something cool. I didn't. This is just another, digital effect thingy box. Unimpressive.. It sounds like every other digital effect thingy.. It doesn't sound like a, Rotating Leslie Speaker, at all. It's just more, junk.
And so here I thought maybe, something would be digitally modeled? Nope! Just more stupid modulated, time delayed effects. Sounding pretty wonky and digitally stressful. And that's supposed to be, what?
Of course most, Rock Guitarists. Don't exactly live on the planet with us in real time. And operate on some kind of ethereal structure? Kind of like the Armorer for Rust. She didn't have enough time. To make certain. Real bullets were not in the movie guns. While she was overburdened and rushed. And didn't know the difference between, blank slugs. And those that had, a solid metal pellet in the tip. Extending the length of said, Blank. But so rushed she couldn't tell the difference? So it was all Alec Baldwin's, fault. As he was in charge of the, neurotic production fracas. When no live ammo. Should have been anywhere near the set.. The Armorer was in charge of.
Why must all adults today. Act, like wacky children out of control that don't know anything? I think college degrees, need to be, rescinded, revoked, returned. When they screw up this badly. And their college degree appears to be completely null and void. They should no longer possess a college degree. When they flunk, this badly. As you can't bring dead people back to life! But only in the story Frankenstein. Conceived and written by a woman, Mary Shelley. If my damaged Frankenstein brain is, still working?
