The weird thing is, you pretty much need all those things to do well in any job. Great life advice. Thanks man!

It’s definitely true! Though some of the stuff talked about wouldn’t be needed for a lot of jobs.
Being an average or better communicator wouldn’t be necessary for many jobs, although it would still be helpful.
Also, having an above average work ethic probably isn’t necessary for a typical 9-5, although it would still be helpful.

I'm a truck driver, studying for my certification. I'd like to get my first year as a trainer done doing it part time and then transition into doing it full time as my own business. These videos are exactly what I was needing

Been thinking about getting into personal training, always have a passion for health and nutrition. Graduated culinary school a couple years ago, been focusing more on my diet and workouts this last year.

amazing knowledge and advice. I just failed my last personal trainer examination, only the test cost me 500$ and I felt really down, but after this video I got motivated again since it is fun to meet knew people, sell them, and give them advice for training + diet.

You have inspired me so much. I am thinking of becoming a personal trainer. I was thinking about doing this a long time ago but was told I probably shouldn't now that same person is encouraging me into it because I helped them on weight training exercises and I was reeling off lots of info on dietary tips as well they then said I think you would be brilliant as a Personal Trainer so I said I did say that before lol. I am currently working a 48hr job I am going to save up and start studying to be one once I can afford it. I really want to become one because I think lots of this type of stuff will be a positive thing for me. Thanks for your videos.

You can do it! I’d definitely recommend getting into it part time as a side hustle.
Thanks for sharing though! I’m glad that you’re finding our content helpful!

Thank you for giving me a reassurance in starting my career in personal training. I've been having some doubts and whatnot.
I already got my cert but just saw this video. In the beginning, I was like "oh shit I hope I have at least 3 attribute, whatever they are."
Towards the end, I think I have all 5 and was like "whew...."

Yes I'm full on Thanks à lot for changing your mind and made those videos content to help other trainers it helps me personally as a trainer and makes believe that there is other genuine, honest people like you in the filed other than sharks who want only to take advantage from you!
Whats your plan for your early 40s? Make other Trainer work with you? Transitioning slowly to a more manager role?
    Awesome content thanks 🙏

Thank you I really appreciate it! I already have a hand full of trainers that work for me but I think I’ll transition into managing more as I get older. I may end up leaving training to focus more on content creation at some point in the distant future. Time will tell!

Do you think of making a video on necessary equipment in home gym/personal training gym?? What should be there to be versatile as much as we can with client and/or for own use.
      Thank you 🙏

@@75019HUNK we’ll be attending conferences at some point next year so maybe we can meet up at one of those!
I cover what equipment you should consider buying as a trainer going off on your own in a few different videos. I believe I mentioned it in this

  • @DivyneTre

Why not into your 40s? Is it the age itself, or is it the number of years you would have worked as a trainer?
I think once I can overcome the anxiety of getting started, I'll actually be a great trainer! I have all 5 attributes! Top of my list is my desire to help people. Second is my willingness to learn & that I am teachable, eager to grow, and have an open mind. Third is communication. Then the other two are there, but definitely last on the list. Lol. I have a great work ethic, but I have to value what I'm doing. They make the list though bc I greatly value health and personal training.

I think trainers can succeed at any age tbh! Some of the most successful trainers I’ve met were in their 50’s and 60’s. Most clients fall into that age range, and to some extent, trainers who are closer in age to their clients, better understand what they go through.

Hi. Great channel! You said that by 40 you will be easing off a bit because it is a demanding role. I am 46 and want to become a PT will I sink before I swim because of my age? I have been an elementary teacher for about 20 years. Thank you

    • @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation
      @SortaHealthyTrainerEducation  Місяць тому

I’ll still be training clients at 40. I probably just won’t be working the insane hours that I am now. Many of the best trainers I know are former teachers, including my wife! Go for it!

Amazing video once again! Thank you, it’s really boosted my self-esteem in knowing that this is the role for me. Could you make a video on your experiences during the first few months as a CPT? Although I don’t really care for the amount of money I could make, I’m worried of the financial burden when first starting.
