    Dear Brother Jared, I am so grateful for what you have already taught us despite your busy schedule. I look forward to every lesson but completely understand time constraints. I’m a retired teacher myself! I am sure what you continue to share with us will uplift , instruct and edify as always. Not verse by verse so be it! I appreciate everything you share regardless of length or verse by verse coverage. You have lifted my gospel understanding to such heights, you will always have a special place in my heart and prayers!

    Your lessons have taught and helped me understand so much more than I've been able to study previously. Especially since I can listen while doing housework. I would love it if you were able to continue through the Old Testament next year. I've always been rather intimidated by it, and my lack of understanding of their time/lives/customs. I hope and pray you can continue through the next year. You have touched and blessed so many lives. Thank you for all of your time, talents, and sharing them so generously with us.

    Thank you for your insights. As an older female that grew up in the church, I sort of just skipped through the sections on the Priesthood and often felt that I was inferior because I was only a woman. I'm grateful the the brethren have been addressing this and I'm grateful for you teaching that these sections are for all of us. I am grateful for your videos and every Monday morning, I look forward to the next one.

    Yes, "the CRAFTS of men" when they become essentially priest-craft, when being seen as prestigious is everything! I am especially concerned right now about science-craft or scientism. When the work was done as if by angel's, Science was pure. But when it became manipulated by politicians Science became only "science" as salt having lost its savor.

    I realize this is referring back a long ways, but when we were studying early in the Book of Mormon you made a comment about what we needed to become. Then you said something like, nothing against the hymn, I Am a Child of God, but it’s not enough to know what I must do, it’s what I must become. So for several weeks I pondered that. Finally I changed the last line of the chorus from Teach me all that I must do, to Teach me all I must become to live with Him someday. It works with the music, and that’s how I sing it to my grandchildren. I don’t have any copyrights, but I can sing it any way I want in private. Thank you for changing how I think. I’m old enough to remember when the last line was Teach me all that I must know, and the prophet, President Kimball I think, asked that it be changed to all that I must do. This is the next step in the evolution of the song, for me and my family. I thought of this as you talked today about the growing and changing of the line upon line we are given.

      Hi Gerry.
      Funny, I have felt and changed words more or less per my own edification for BEING instead of DOING as well. And, I love what you've offered!
      Have also done similar with Eliza R Snow's "O My Father." (292) 4th verse - last phrases.
      ( original for comparison: )
      "Then, at length, when I’ve completed
      All you sent me forth to DO,
      With YOUR mutual approbation
      Let me come and dwell with YOU."
      ( changed to: )
      "Then, at length, when I’ve completed
      All you sent me forth to BE,
      With THY mutual approbation
      Let me come and dwell with THEE.
      I mean absolutely no disrespect to Sister Snow
      It's more or less for my own use. So what do you think?

    I am so grateful for your three and four hour lessons! To be honest, they have been some of my favorite that you have ever shared. Plus, I watch you on UA-cam at 2X speed so it only takes two hours to get through! Ha ha. That said, whenever my wife has you playing on speaker in normal mode I’m so confused now because you sound so lethargic. I can’t wait to meet you in real life one day because you have blessed my life so much but I know I will have a laugh as you will seem to be on slow motion. Maybe when I finally meet you I will tell you that I was the 2X guy and you can talk really fast as we shake hands or hug if Covid is over by then so things seem normal. Ha ha. Keep up the good work Jared. You are just the kind of social influence the world needs today and bless more people than you realize!
    Now a question from 107, specifically in regards to the characteristics of Peter and the section 4 repeat. You mentioned that the order of the attributes is crucial (I agree as I find a pattern of inner and outer principles with every alternating trait) and you said the order is the same in all.. but it isn’t! Section 104 reverses godliness with brotherly kindness. I’m still working my way through what I first thought was a clarification from Christ to Joseph Smith in 4, but now I’m perplexed as 107 reverts back. Your thoughts? Thanks!

Fantastic work in building faith in the world and declaring repentance in a powerful, relatable way. So many answered prayers and insights as I study personally along, and teach same. I have a question for you. I am reading the new chief 'chaplain' of Harvard's, "Good Without God," and would like to interview someone and co-create a response--in kind, civil way, for my podcast. You came to mind. If you are interested, would you reach out to me privately and let me know. Thank you, Jared. Warmest, k

    I have had a couple of really tough weeks and, truth be told, I allowed myself a moment of self pity. In my anguish I cried out to the Lord... "Find me" to which I received an immediate reply... "Find ME!" I instantly realized that during this time I had slacked off in my scripture study. I immediately rekindled my efforts. Thanks so much for your efforts and assistants with my studies, as I try daily, even moment to moment to "find" the Lord.

    I am so glad you do broadcast. After listening to the many many ways you teach, I wonder when do you have time for your family. I don't think your snorkel needs to longer; I think you should consider doing a little less. Please don't stop doing these broadcasts! I worry about you doing too much.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you Brother Jared. D and C has always been my least favorite book of scripture… until this year. I can only imagine the amount of time it takes for you to do these lessons so I know it is a sacrifice. Thank you for your sacrifice and may you be blessed tenfold more than we have been by them.

    This is Strange. That members have to be ordained and set apart as missionaries before they can teach the gospel, Since the Lord had approached me differently and had commanded me directly in a priesthood blessing to open up my mouth and teach but I never served a mission but i do hold the Melchiezdek Priesthood..

    • @randomfan168
      @randomfan168 3 роки тому +1

      There is a difference between "every member a missionary" and actually having the mantle and calling of missionary. We're all supposed to invite others to come unto Christ but missionaries, along with the 70 and apostles, have callings specifically about spreading and teaching the gospel.

    • @germanslice
      @germanslice 3 роки тому +1

      @@randomfan168There's an apostasy underway in the Church caused by the dissenters for God knows all this, this is why he told me to open my mouth and that didn't come to me by personal revelation alone from God but it came to me as direct instruction given to me in the priesthood blessing direct from God himself through the priesthood channel.
      But the members are also told to teach one another the doctrines of the kingdom.and to strengthen one another
      that was the assignment God Commanded me to do through the priesthood blessing. I was told to open up my
      mouth.

      @@germanslice I guess what I'm saying is I don't see any conflict between your blessings and missionary work. Nobody would want you to be silent, whether you served a mission or not is irrelevant. Continue to open your mouth and teach what you know and learn from others as well. You don't have the official calling but that doesn't mean you can't teach and preach. It's a gift to be able to be confident in your faith and knowledge and can be a powerful tool in bringing people to Christ.

    Thank you again for your amazing lessons. I pray that your time may be lengthened that you can continue...not just Old Testimate, but New, and then the first chapters of the Book of Mormon before covid. You are much appreciated...and thanked by this household for your teachings. God bless you and your family.

    As a single female and convert , I find this explanation of the order of the priesthood so interesting . It’s evident here that the Lord has a house of order. This order also reminds me of the Lords hand in forming the constitution. It’s evident his inspiration and direction was in both because of some similarities. It appears mans sight is too short to create such organizations that encompass every facet needed to organize and rule men most righteously. What I’m realizing is , I can’t find the proper words to even explain here what I mean. Words are inadequate. And yes, we learn line upon line , because we can’t take it in , any other way. This all takes time for our feeble minds to process, esp. mine. Keep in mind , Einstein said, we only use 10% of our brain/mind. I was reflecting on this the other day, as I was thinking of the expanse of Gods mind.

    Jared I sought you out specifically for your thoughts on Section 106:4-5 hoping to hear you comment on the obvious inference to Warren and therefore all others, that the Lord’s second coming was imminent i.e. in their lifetime. This same inference is found elsewhere in the revelations. Is there evidence Joseph and his contemporaries believed this to be so? Interested in your thoughts. Thank you.
