Remove a sin for Cal turning off his lightsaber to break the balance of his opponent during the duel, it makes so much sense and i never saw anyone else do it in a lightsaber duel before
If you think about it the Force helped Cal with that. When facing the dark side vision on Dathomir, the second time with his new lightsaber, the only way to beat his master dark side version is to turn of the light Saber...it's some kind of "peaceful show" technique that works very well against the dark side. Same with Luke Skywalker against Darth Vader
I know I've seen someone else use the trick before. It was only one other time and I don't remeber exactly where it happened. Maybe one of the sequels?
Dude you are not the only one who laughed I laughed so hard I had tears running down my cheek it was so funny cerea: I am gonna kill you Vader: really bro Then forces here out of the way
Colin Deasy Vader is stronger but palpatine is older with a deeper knowledge of the dark side. Also he made Vader’s suit slow, restricting and vulnerable to force lightning attacks just in case Vader tried to overthrow him.
Yeah, Star Wars has always been Science Fantasy. Ghosts, glowing swords, high spirituality. It's not too large of a jump to have literal magic like resurrection, enchanted arrows, and teleportation.
@@Dalton_Boardman2000 will the glowing swords thing isn't too far off I mean hacksmith has already made multiple versions of the Proto saber and are even working on technically a lightsaber what I'm thinking is just going to be a really high power torch but yeet plus there is still that ghosts are not proven or disproven there are quite a few Supernatural phenomenon that cannot be explained and a lot of the bullshit could be real if some of our quantum theory turns out to be true

They all wear black and thats literally the only thing strictly shared between them and Vader. And its pretty clear why Trilla wears a mask, and its not to look like Vader, she's alot more intimidating wearing a mask because she otherwise is rather attractive(that and to obviously hide her face until her relationship with Cere is revealed)
i am surprised you missed the unhealthy amount of salt that Greez had on Kashyyk. also its explained that cordova told the council of his vision and the only one who believed him was the Liberian who gave him the holocron.
Its always a source of confusion that the ONLY prophecy any significant number of jedi ever believed in was the one where it was clearly referencing them losing, but they somehow decided it meant they'd win. (hint: "bring balance to the force" is not in your favor when all that's left of the sith are like 2-3 people)
I once imagined a game that would use this mechanic to rest in the bonfire and respawn enemies, but the idea is that every time you rest your character sees the future and sees how he will die. So when you die the idea is that it wasn't you but your vision, and now you know how to avoid it and when you finish the game technically your character didn't die once, he saw the future several times and avoided his own death all of them. I really thought someone had this same idea in this game. (sorry if my english is weird i'm not a native speaker)
KnightSoul only weird English part i saw in your comment (which you >maybe weren't very clear on.) was the "I once imagined a game" part- Other than that, your English was pretty good.
20:25, Vader was referring to the fact that Trilla was finally letting go of her hate. By then she was merely a liability and had outlived her usefulness
he was also likley looking for an excuse to kill her anyway for going the way of the upstart directly trying to get the emperors favor not vaders is very dumb when you work directly under him
With the BD recording himself in third person thing, you see cordova turn BD off and then reach for a different camera that shuts off the transmission. Implying he was recording from somewhere else and put the video into BD
10:47 Saw technically first showed up in the 2008 Clone Wars show as part of a rebellion against a separatist occupation of his home world. Dudes been rebelling for like, 2 decades straight
Well, Fallen Order and Force Unleashed have dual-wielding of lightsabers. And throwing of lightsabers. And force pushing/pulling. I don't know about Jedi Outcast for the lightsaber stuff since I haven't heard of it before now.
Yeah, that observation was just... What? Yes, they're all third person action games, but Fallen Order has as much to do with Force Unleased as it does with Dragon Ball: Xenoverse. Force Unleashed is an unambiguous power trip, with Galen Starkiller bringing down multiple capital ships with his own two hands and being one step removed from Super Saiyan. The first game in the series ends with a fight against Darth Vader, where Starkiller ends up getting the upper hand. Fallen Order is the polar opposite of this, painting Cal as the perpetual underdog. When Darth Vader inevitably shows up, he's not a boss fight but a slasher villain from whom escape is the only option. Jedi Outcast and the rest of the Jedi Knight series are an entirely separate kettle of fish, having more in common with old Doom / Duke Nukem games initially, then following closer to Tomb Raider. Again it makes me wonder if Dartigan was really paying attention in his playthrough.
Malidictus I think it has more to do with people’s’ initial impressions of the game before it came out. I, for one, thought the force mechanics looked really similar to The Force Unleashed when they were showing off gameplay. Have had the game come out, I know see that impression as inaccurate, but I can see why people would think that.
@@bubbasgotback431 I suppose. Most of what I'd heard of Fallen Order was people saying "Souls-Like!!!" which it... Kind of is, maybe? If you squint. But fair enough, either way. It’s funny cause it literally explains it in the game, and you can see them if you look around even a little bit, hence why the water isn’t frozen and cal isn’t frozen and dead...This dude doesn’t pay attention to shit
Jaykel the smooth he was shivering so much when he got out because he got the fuck out. He was drowning and he came out of warm water all wet into a cold cave
Spoiler: Was so happy to see Vader pop up at the end. When cal and cere jump into the ocean, notice how vader was holding back the water from flooding the place? Especially at that depth, it shows how powerful vader is.
It also shows how unrealistic it is... You don't just break a window in the dephts of the ocean so you can "jump off". A tiny breach would have completely crushed the entire facility like a beer can under a truck. Also who is dumb enough to build a facility like this with fragile glass? I get it, it's star wars, it's not supposed to make too much sense but why people are amazed about darth Vader pushing the ocean?
@@baronnuuke7821 Uhh cause the oceans pressure alone is tremendously strong, even more so the deeper the ocean is. Vader uses the force to prevent your beer can from being crushed under a truck. How is this not impressive?
@@FredHerbert999 It's not the point, if you played the game you know it's not the first time a "window" breaks in that fortress and Vader was not near it. It only makes water pour inside like on a boat at the surface. Based on that, Vader is just pushing some waves that's all.
Really? No sins removed for Cal getting his own dual lightsabers? Being knighted? The emotional Order 66 scene right after giving a clone trooper a high five???

Something about this game that is admirable is that the Cal isn't made to fight Vader in this. Vader can destroy him with ease. Normally your character interacting with established characters make you fight them and somehow win or at least stand a chance, but Vader is pure terror
Honestly, i feel like a middle ground between this and the force unleashed (in terms of it's combat system) would make a wonderful game. Take the force powers and combo potential from the force unleashed and take the saber combat from this game and you could get something truly memorable. But the upgrade system and cosmetic systems really need to be reworked.
IMO the upgrade system works fine for this specific game. The big idea is that you are a padawan who is slowly recovering their use of the force which is why the combat and upgrade systems are the way they are. For a sequel however, with Cal having access to his force powers once again and "officially" becoming a Jedi Knight, I think leaning a bit into the Force Unleashed would definitely be a smart idea. With full access to his powers, Cal should be able to focus more on strengthening himself a lot more on his journey to eventually become a Master. Maybe this manifests as Cal being able to use things like the Jedi Mind Trick and also affect more of the environment with his force powers like using the force to lift and toss smaller spacecraft.
In one of the collectibles, Evo Cordova mentions he warned the jedi council, but that they didn't believe him, and just think he's a rambling confused man
I think he means when he falls off, you technically ‘die’. The worst one is in the crashed Venator on Zeffo, because there is several rings that you go through, one of which has electricity in them. It also has wonders like large generators just in the middle for some reason and a falling gunship that smashes part of the slide
The reason for there being "no justifiable anger" in the light side of the force is because it's based on Zen Buddhism, and that's a real thing in the religion.
Yeah didn't they explain in phantom menace that the reason they didn't want ani is because of his emotional attachment to his mother and isn't that the reason he sent ham on those raiders?
I’m going to have to disagree With your sin concerning the night sisters and their magick. The Star Wars universe is very huge and we’ve seen the force be used in countless ways already yet you think it’s agregious that a tribe was able to tap into the force and use it in their own way?. Even in movies/TV shows, they came long before this game! Hell, the first-ever animated Nightsister appeared in TCW in 2008, 11 years before this game! What the f*ck, Dartigan? What the f*cking f*ck?
while it is a valid complaint on this game, it is not the fault of the devs in this instance (people doing a bit of digging the dismemberment of clone troopers is in the game code, so it was made, but was likely disabled because of family friendliness)
@@MaxRovensky i am not saying it was not a dumb choice to make, I am saying don't blame respawn for something that was clearly made (especially it exists in a cutscene you chop off a humanoid hand at one point which is much harder to change) but was disabled due to what i presume is disney meddling.
Yeah and besides if they had gone through with the plan their students would be captured and tortured, and Cal would become an Inquisitor. It was the right call.
Funny thing is, it's not the only one. If you go to the datalog, Archive 6 and read encrypted log 2 you'll find out that when Cordova tried to warn the Council, Jocasta Nu(The old woman in the archives in the prequel movies) was the only one who believed him. So she gave him a holocron with a copy of all the force sensitive children, but she made a ton of them. If I remember correctly, Vader even gets his hand on one, only to lie to Palpatine about it. Read the Vader comics from 2017, they're set in the same time period and they're seriously well written!
In my opinion the game belongs to the 10% topic games of the year. But it has some really weak points. I even waned to play a new game+ But I didn’t like the idea to lose all my progress. I spend many hours to unlock and find things, I don’t feel motivated to do it again.

The force abilities of the Night Sisters was established during the mid 2000s Clone Wars series, including the teleportation and raising the dead. Most of the clan were killed by Dooku and Grevious during the series. Fun fact, the Night Sister's and Brother are Darth Maul's family.
Here's some sin answers -the game heavily implies that an inquisitor (most likely Trilla) located and killed Cordova -Saw Gerrera originates from the Clone wars -Nightsisters and their magick were canon waaaay before Disney trilogy ever existed.
0:27 I feel personally attacked, as I am the uncle who can never find a job... Well... up until like... 4 days ago... STILL! Considering the Inquisitors job is to hunt down and kill Jedi and Trilla never did kill them and even considering turning back to the Light Side, Vader being angry that she failed is kinda valid.

19:08, well obviously this vision is far more violent and painful than anything else he’s seen. I mean I’m guessing that he literally felt Trilla’s pain
It's a dark side thing. Trilla essentially force cursed her lightsaber by pouring those feelings and memories to intentionally have cal overwhelmed in that fight. Their job is to kill, but turning over a jedi that young and untapped in their potential is to good an opportunity for them to pass up as a gift for the emperor and a showcase of their talents. Trilla wanted to turn cal and that certain fight was a distraction so she could communicate and sway him. She actually says these things but in vague comments intended to spark confusion in cal
@@verislie I know I'm late but your explanation is very interesting. The thing it made me notice is that Trilla didn't necessarily do that with the intention of turning Cal to the dark side or to distract him. Sure, it conveniently works for her, but pouring all of her negative emotions into her saber was something she would have already done after just turning into an Inquisitor to make the crystal bleed and turning it red. (though I'm not sure if that is what happens with Inquisitor lightsabers, since I remember reading something about synthetic crystals or something, and if those come in red already, then that would invalidate my explanation lol)
@@juanp7691 the synthetic crystal was a legend thing. Before disney changed how Crystals were, the naturally occurring Crystal's usually came in greens and blues with some variations of indigo and cyan, etc. The sith created their own since the jedi had a monopoly on the kaiber producing planets, and these synthetic Crystals came out red. Now, according to new disney canon, the sith take the natural crystals and bleed em. At work right now but can respond to your main comment in an hour or so
So about the Transponder codes. Space is big. As a rule you won’t have enough ships to allow visual confirmation around an entire planet. When you have near light speed travel by the time you see another ship coming you’ll be far to late to steer away. As a rule therefore using visual identification to spot ships either in transit or not is incredibly impractical anywhere outside of docks. As such transponders are the only things such customs agents would have to tell who’s who. If someone arrives without one or with a fake one you dispatch the gunships if they show up as one of us let them pass
Literally this, a ship like the mantis is at best 30 meters long in the vastness of space, and they are probably a good 10,000 miles from the planet whenever you see the planet-screen pop up. Nigga aint nobody on any ship in orbit spotting a 100 foot ship, a thousand miles away.
The fact that Vader just appears out of no where implies he was there all along. Makes you think if he really wanted the holocron as he just waited for Cal to take it then came in for dramatic effect.
19:17 the lore of Darksiders is that they use the pain and hatred to power their abilities and that the crystals they use literally have to bleed (new cannon) this means that the crystals absorb all the hate and pain that a user puts into it, enough to turn the crystals red these memories were several times more potent than anything he touched because they were infused into the object.

Are we just gonna ignore the fact that cal never seems sad about his friend at the start when he dies? They seemed really good friends and then cal just pretty much forgets him
Not entirely true. He mentions Prauf - albeit not by name - when he explains his motives for searching for the holocron to Merrin. Also, I think the idea is that Cal has never really been able to truly connect with anyone on a personal level after Order 66, and so he can't bring himself to think too much about what happened to his friend.
Also a sin for Knighting someone with a light saber. I know what they were going for, but there's quite a big difference from having a slab of metal, vs a hot beam that close to your face.
Pretty sure I read they have quasi-magnetic shielding that captures and retransmits all heat that emanates from the blade, but a magnetic barrier is not a physical barrier so it does not prevent the blade from actually cutting. It's like incredibly dense plasma.
The story implies that knighting ceremonies are often done by Masters (with the knighting ceremony in Fallen Order not only signaling Cal's ascension to Jedi Knight but Cere's ascension to jedi Master). As we see in episode 3, officially attaining the rank of Jedi Master is very difficult and not done purely on the basis of raw power (Obviously, Anakin would be a good match for the council in terms of power but not in terms of experience, maturity or discipline). My guess is that the knighting ceremony is perfectly safe since the only people trusted to do it are Masters.
You’re kind of underestimating how big space is. The reason transponders are so important is that sometimes, you can’t physically see the ship you’re looking at. Transponder and sensor suite readings are usually all you have to go on.
This game hammers the new battlefronts into the ground but the dodgy combat and parkour is incredibly frustrating compared to the well put together sekiro combat and movement for example.
Am late, but a few things regarding some sins: 2:00 That's Force Slow, not Stasis. Cal slowed Prauf so that Prauf would land on the platform that was moving by, otherwise he woulda missed it and fallen to his death. Judging from the distance of how far Prauf fell when slowed, Cal wouldn't have needed to slow himself in any way. 9:50 Stormtrooper armor was likely designed with that kinda stuff in mind, and it has been explained in-universe that glancing blows from plasma-based weapons will leave the occupant unharmed, just like irl armor. Also like irl armor, focused strikes would cause harm, but may not kill; A shot to the chest may break a couple ribs, but you'd still be alive. Slashes are more glancing than a stab. 10:35 Space is Big. Unless they're REALLY close to a view-port, no one will see them with the naked eye. so the signal masking is fine. Think Mass Effect and the Normandy's stealth systems. 15:35 Clone that followed prolly didn't wanna risk Friendly Fire, if he shot then he'd likely hit his buddy that the big Master guy grabbed. Last Clone I got nothin. 20:20 To be fair, Vader wasn't advertised at all. His appearance is how you do a Cameo right,
2:43 1) Vader hunts Jedi and Rebels, and looks very menacing. Inquisitors are made to hunt Jedi, why wouldn't their outfits be designed to look menacing as well. They are Sith after all, fear is their Schtick 2) Vader is Kylo's grandfather who was one of the most well known, most powerful, most feared Sith lords ever. Of course he would take inspiration from him.
19:08 Cal was only able to get visions from Trilla's lightsaber because she had corrupted the crystals from her old lightsaber and put them in her new Inquisitor one, whereas Cere never corrupted her crystals.
I would have sinned Merrin hugging you when you wake up. Girl, we've known each other for 45 minutes and spoken three times since you joined, and you are not exactly socially capable. If you think about it the Force helped Cal with that. When facing the dark side vision on Dathomir, the second time with his new lightsaber, the only way to beat his master dark side version is to turn of the light Saber...it's some kind of "peaceful show" technique that works very well against the dark side.

The only similarity between Fallen order, force unleashed, and Jedi outcast is that the basic concept: a 3rd person melee star wars game
That's also set between 3&4
Well, Fallen Order and Force Unleashed have dual-wielding of lightsabers.

@@Duhehejeh I would have liked to see any alternative to his basic clothes.

Vader suffers no mistakes, and he doesn't slap people on the wrist, you either do your job or he kills you and will get someone else to do it.
@@Nerwrax15 Consider a bunch of Inquistors were former Jedi padawan, who might be just the same level as Cal, well, it's obvious that these people sucks

No sin for EA? You're losing your touch.
Sin 62: He used the stim to close the small wound left by the spike he removed. He didn't heal all of the bird's ailments.
Sin 65: Reanimated dead have been a thing in Star Wars for much longer.
Sin 69: Using the Force requires mental focus. Cal was in a stressful situation and he is still a young, inexperienced padawan at the time, and additionally he was just wounded, so it's not impossible that he was unable to catch his lightsaber.
Sin 70: It makes sense for the clone on the right not to shoot in case he hits the other clones on the left. He still should have shot though.
Yeah, this dudes sins are just stupid. He has no idea wtf he's talking about.
For sin 69, I think he really just wanted an excuse to use the "Losing one weapon in a cutscene" line.
19:08, well obviously this vision is far more violent and painful than anything else he’s seen. I mean I’m guessing that he literally felt Trilla’s pain
Yeah, it's not like it was a banjo and Cere's singing Rainbow Connection or anything. Some dark shit happened to Trilla. :)

Exactly.
I still enjoyed the Game but can still observe the issues of many scenes

LOCKYSON10 !! wow. its litteraly game sins. hes nitpicking everything.
Fallen Order could be enjoyable,if only it had fast travel.
I like how BD stayed on Cals back even when he was drowning.
That little robot weighs at least 10 kilos.
The look of the second sister was designed before the game so it’s unfair to blame EA for making her look like Darth Vader
And it wouldn’t make sense if it WASNT Vader’s fashion sense
THANK YOU!
Not to mention that EA had nothing to do with the game’s actual production. They published it, but Respawn did all the heavy lifting.
To be fair she actually thought grievous was a Jedi when she witnessed him slaughter her family with blue and green light sabers
The fact that Vader just appears out of no where implies he was there all along. Makes you think if he really wanted the holocron as he just waited for Cal to take it then came in for dramatic effect.
...did...did you just call it “bore-gano?”
THAT DROVE ME FUCKING INSANE!

@@ChildOfChaos07 Resistence is futile.
It's not cannon if Disney wrote it only if Lucas wrote it, cannon stops at Force Unleashed 2.
@@Koostoppa Then this whole game is non cannon and your point is invalid (I wish eu was cannon again too)

Pretty sure there are red crystals one can utilize, most Sith just preferred the color due to the colored-skin of the Sith species, and it sort of became a tradition. They don't use red blades because "I am evil hahahaha" but like you said red is a color that symbolizes passion and anger, which they relish in.
@@AnEruditeWolf not to be a dick but this is just your head cannon
"Corrupt the kyber crystal. Teach it your pain. Teach it your anger. Hear it sing a hymn of darkness. Make it bleed"
This is DARTH SIDIOUS, TO DARTH VADER
In Darth Vader Lord of the sith
The red color in "legends" used to be synthetic but ever since the new Canon bleeding has been the only way sith can obtain a crystal
(Kyber crystals were inherently attuned to the light side of the Force, and resisted any effort by dark-side practitioners to use them in lightsabers. To this end, a Sith or other dark-sider could use a kyber crystal only by using the Force to dominate the crystal, bending it to their will. This process caused the crystal to "bleed," as if it were a living organism, resulting in the distinctive red or crimson-bladed lightsabers synonymous with the sith)

The gameplay and graphics look so strange in this game and I have no idea how to explain it.

Textures are fuzzy kind of. Graphics are clean but they fuzzy to me
Like a PS4 launch title?
@@65firered nah they aren't like that😑. Uncharted 4 had cleaner textures and better frames. So does all the other ps4 launch titles. Git gud
@@khaoss4024 Uncharted 4 wasn't a launch title, it came out in 2016 and I'm not saying it's a bad thing just not as good as they are now graphics wise, with the exception of The Order 1886, but graphics and setting were the only that game had going for it.
Yes! Thank you for mentioning that completely bizarre "I found the Jedi" thing, I mean who allowed that to go in?! It doesn't make sense!
Also a sin for Knighting someone with a light saber. I know what they were going for, but there's quite a big difference from having a slab of metal, vs a hot beam that close to your face.
I thought the same myself.
Hopefully no one bas butterfingers in the Jedi Order.
This is my favorite game of the year. Quite a good story, fantastic gameplay, and rewardable exploration
Rewardable exploration without fast ravel, particularly since basically everything is new colours for various stuff?.Lol nope. It's just infuriating.

When I first seen Cere I said out loud “what kinna alien are you?” Then realized it’s just Debra Wilson
The only sin that keeps Fallen Order from being fun to play instead of tedious :no fucking fast travel.
I mean, the inquisitorius is headed by Vader, it makes at least some sense that they would have similar armor.
Am late, but a few things regarding some sins:
2:00 That's Force Slow, not Stasis.
His appearance is how you do a Cameo right,
I’m so confused
I’s the narrator a robot or a real person.
Totally under rated comment.. I don't understand why he couldn't use his own voice too well voice his opinion..

1) Vader hunts Jedi and Rebels, and looks very menacing. Inquisitors are made to hunt Jedi, why wouldn't their outfits be designed to look menacing as well. They are Sith after all, fear is their Schtick
2) Vader is Kylo's grandfather who was one of the most well known, most powerful, most feared Sith lords ever. Of course he would take inspiration from him.

Cal was only able to get visions from Trilla's lightsaber because she had corrupted the crystals from her old lightsaber and put them in her new Inquisitor one, whereas Cere never corrupted her crystals.

I would have sinned Merrin hugging you when you wake up. Girl, we've known each other for 45 minutes and spoken three times since you joined, and you are not exactly socially capable. What warranted that hug? Would've made sense if the character were well developed, but that is very, *very* much not the case. Their internal relationships on the Mantis are basically nonexistent.
2:09 dude he slowed Prauf so the ship could go under him before he fell to far cal just dropped down onto it
Brickmaster 517 I think he’s kinda saying how did cal get to the ship if the ship wasn’t slowed down wouldn’t cal have missed the ship entirely and just died? I could be speaking out of my ass idk if I’m right or not

Crimson Animations The main reason Cal only started remembering his past training was because he was on planets or areas that were strong in the force which helped Cal reconnect with it. Bracca however seemingly had no real connection to the force
The only thing I hated about this game was that there wasn’t A SINGLE ORIGINAL IDEA PUT INTO IT. They had to rip the best parts of every other popular game just to make this one. Not to mention that it was pretty bare bones when it came to a few things.
What did it RIP off from Uncharted? Climbing? Because that was ripped off from Prince of Persia.
william corey you see you just prove my point. I didn’t say what games it rip off. You did because when you think about it, you are CONSTANTLY being reminded of other games when you play it.
