    I want to take a moment again to say: thank you Adam. Your openness and honesty not just with me, but with the world, is truly inspiring, and helped me get through what has been the most mentally and emotionally challenging documentary I've ever published. I want to thank all of you watching for allowing me the time and space to dedicate myself and my team to investigating such a brutal and disturbing route this story has taken, in the interest of protecting Adam, Becky, Oliver, Ella, Alex, Trisha Paytas, the witnesses who came forward, and those who still do not yet feel safe to do so. I applaud all of you, your strength shines through.
    Questioning someone's story is something I never wish to do, but after realizing the massive extent I have been lied to and gaslit, I knew that it was my responsibility to seek out the truth, no matter how stressful it was, because you all deserve the truth. In doing so, I had to pause my entire content schedule, my merch release, cancel several sponsors, and halt all uploads, which is not fair to all of you who are here with me every week, so thank you for your kindness and patience as we worked on this.
    I hope with my entire being that Johnny will take accountability, apologize, and find the path to healing. And most of, I hope for the healing of the victims, Adam, Becky, Ella, Alex, Oliver and so many others. You will get through this, I'm in awe of you all. Your stories are real, your healing will come, and you are valid.
    Thank you to my team for their tireless work. We are tiny (only 3 of us) but mighty. They sacrificed their time, mental health, emotional health, and time with family and partners to help me bring this truth to light and I'm in awe of them. I look forward to introducing them to you all.

      truly strange behavior… my parents would’ve laughed in my face if i’d asked them to pay for a random ass fan girl trip like that 🤦🏽‍♀️ in my insignificant outsider opinion, i think that johnny projected his friendship w josh to his family as a beneficial mentorship like relationship that would help johnny eventually grow and get a career in content creation.
      but it’s obvious from johnnys own words and describing his actions… he was an overly obsessive fan who just happened to achieve more closeness/connection to these people than most.
      josh describing how he thought johnny was a sad/lonely kid and took pity and naively thought that allowing a mentor relationship to happen between them would be okay. it wasn’t, because of johnnys immaturity, loneliness, and obsessiveness. i think he likely had some kind of fan crush on him as well. and when josh was going thru a difficult divorce and didn’t reply to him, johnny decided to take it as a personal attack
      i think johnnys a compulsive liar and a narcissist. he may have (and likely did) experienced some real trauma and inappropriate/grooming behavior, it’s not my place to invalidate that. but johnny choosing to fully lie and fabricate so much of his story and experience… what a fucking mess.

      Same deal, with Adam. He wanted to replace Cory, or at least be onstage like Johnny. But, as it turned out, Adam wasn't even good at submitting comedy bits. Adam just isn't talented, for show business. And so he turned very bitter, and spent a few years perfecting his victim act. He can now cry like a lost puppy on cue, and it melts the hearts of uninformed people. They have never investigated his real past, and they don't realize he is getting well-paid for his victim-act. Adam has NEVER had a job. Being a victim is how he survives. He is able to live on his own, take multiple international vacations every year, and 100% of the money comes from the way he has connected himself to Colleen Ballinger's name. He has no talents,and never mentions any intention towards doing anything else. He thinks this goldmine will last forever.

    I absolutely cannot fathom that sentence of "I was in a group chat with a bunch of young girls, and I didn't want to be, because I was confident in my sexuality, and I want boys, well, men, in my DMs." The fact that his first thought regarding "I don't wanna be in a grooming ring with a bunch of young girls" is "ew I'm gay" and not "ew those are children" is bonkers, but that slip-up of him saying he wants BOYS in his DMs is crazy.

    • @chrish3126
      @chrish3126 8 місяців тому +152

      I feel like I need to call this one out. Saying "I like boys" doesn't immediately mean children. You hear people say "I like girls" all the time and they're referring to grown women and that's not questioned. This is a very important distinction because paedophilia is a very serious accusation that gay men get accused of a lot by homophobic people. He would have needed to correct his wording to avoid this kind of thinking. Also to be clear I am absolutely not defending this lying attention seeking man just trying to get his 15 minutes of fame.

    • @modernghost0
      @modernghost0 8 місяців тому +177

      @@chrish3126 ofc, saying "i like boys" is not a pedophilic statement on its own. However, considering she was literally confronting him about being predatory to children does it make it a bit weirder. The main thing that bugs me about the statement is not necessarily the words "I like boys" but the fact that he was saying "I wasn't grooming those kids because those kids were girls and I like boys" and not "I wasn't grooming those kids because I don't have any interest in kids." It's also weirdly normal to call grown women "girls" whereas it's seen as a bit weird a lot more often for men to be called "boys" because of the inherent infantilization of women. Also a problem that needs to be fixed lol. Within the context of the quote, I think the word "boys" is a bit telling. It's kinda like one of those things where in hindsight it should've made you suspicious but you wouldn't have thought anything in the moment, it's just a clue after you know the answer. I stand by this statement being a very dicey thing to say but mostly because of the thought process and the context rather than him saying boys first instead of men.

    • @RedHeadThriller10
      @RedHeadThriller10 8 місяців тому +14

      I think that one line sense of what his trauma was about and it shows a lot with Josh in his recent interview. That Johnny had no boundaries and he kept consistently going to these events to grab his intention and wanting to have some type of validation that was important. And I think since Josh I guess ghosted him if he felt like a rejection and I think that's why he behaves the way he does because he's taking out all his anger and his intentions is to ruin their reputation cuz he felt being used. Instead of being completely honest and say well I just wanted the fame and nothing more but I did feel I crossed boundaries with Josh and in my mind at that age it was very unhealthy until someone pointed out to me. She could have said that that way were it doesn't indirect Josh but that he was aware that he has very weird behavior patterns that needs to be broken and he needs to really go to therapy and not be on UA-cam and just exploit all these people because he can.

I’m 37 years old and it still affects me to this day and for him to say that Josh “had his time” to talk about it is an insult to ALL victims of domestic abuse. So the student became the teacher and basically used to exploit these people and make himself feel better about it instead of letting it go and actually doing the work to heal from that trauma. Hearing Swoop tell Johnny off not just on behalf of these victims, but every victim everywhere is so, so cathartic and reassuring as a victim of DV myself...

    Josh has been going through it for YEARS. He can't get away from it. Just when he starts pulling himself up, Colleen and her followers come out of nowhere to push him back down. Adam has gone from a sweet kid with a loud personality to a careful young man who is carrying a heavy weight on his shoulders. It's really heartbreaking to see how much pain and suffering has been caused. Even more frustrating, is that narcissists like Colleen and those around her have a complete inability to understand or care about it. They'll keep treating people like this their entire lives. The way that Johnny so obviously had a crush on Joshua and is furious that it wasn't reciprocated is mindblowing. And now he's retaliating. The way he is trying to insert himself into the situation, the gaslighting manipulation and pathological lying. Wow. What a guy.

      Yes. 100% narcissist. He inserted himself into Josh’s life like he owed him something and was furious this grown man didn’t center him in his life. I’m getting vindictive revenge vibes also from the way Johnny gaslit Josh into apologizing to him too. This is wild.

      I think he truly thought he had found the perfect opportunity: he would be able to get the public attention and validation he so desperately wants by pigbacking on the real victims stories while also getting his revange to someone he felt wronged by bc josh never gave him the attention he also so desperately wanted. I bet in his mind it as a win-win situation, until swoop came along and screwed his whole plan up. I bet he’s PISSSED was blindsided and exposed like that

    1:09:40 As someone who has barely survived 2 abusive relationships, Johnny saying, "You were a grown man in an absuive relationship and you stayed in it," is SO GROSS! When you're a victim of abuse, it is so incredibly difficult to leave and get the help you need. People do not choose to get abused, and victims should NEVER be blamed for staying in unhealthy situations. Their abuser(s) should be blamed for hurting them! Fück Johnny Silvestri, what a disgusting excuse of a man.

      Exactly! Being gaslit can rob you of your trust in your own judgment, “can I trust that I’m even making the right choice to leave?”
      Being threatened can keep you in too. A tactic that is often used against men is “I’ll tell everyone how abusive you are to ME” this can get you to the point where you can’t even righteously argue back or you’re “abusive”
      Male abuse survivors are often disregarded/insulted as which can make coming out about it difficult.
      TLDR; you are 100% right. What Johnny said is *vile!*

    For him to say Josh was a grown man who could have gotten out of an abusive relationship if he wanted to but than turn around and say he was an adult who was abused by Colleen makes no sense. With that logic, Johnny was also a grown man who could have left the abusive relationship and didn’t. He went to see Colleen just this year as a 26 year old man, knowing all the horrific things she did.

    • @thaloblue
      @thaloblue 9 місяців тому +2

      Or even further, to say that he was being abused by Josh in some way when he really obviously could have just stopped messaging him. A lot of what Johnny came up with only barely makes sense the way he frames it. If you change anything, it becomes very confusing if not inaccurate. One thing about the truth is that it is often a mirror image of itself. If something is truly wrong in one context, it'll be wrong in a similar context. It's wrong to wield romantic power to attract and harm children. It's wrong to wield the power of fame to attract harm children. So if "It is not wrong to take your time realizing and leaving a domestically abusive relationship... unless it's Josh, in which case it's stupid." Then how is it not also stupid of Johnny to have taken his time realizing and leaving ANYONE? By his own standards he's a fucking fool.
