Every gen z needs to see this. We should not be as “nostalgic” over literally anything and everything. And I’m so tired of it. We are all still so young and have much more of life to go through. Please, do not fall into that trap. Wish you all the best. ✌️
@CarCar264 this makes such an important point. Nostalgia is okay to feel but not to get stuck into. It seems like almost everything now has turned such a bitter-sweet emotion into a cash grab or a time consumer.
felt. I'm so nostalgic and mourning my childhood nowadays that I can't enjoy life anymore. I don't know how to stop, I...I just miss the carefree days. I miss being wild and running outside with my friends all afternoon. I miss it.
As a 17 years old teenager i approve that from 12 to 15 people see life so depressing specially if they are using social media so much. By 16, people start understanding life better, and by 20, they often become happier and more mature. This phase is adolescence, and it’s normal-everyone goes through it.
Mostly same But I just turned 15 and thought things would get better because that's what everyone says But I realized it won't because of abusive household And it won't be any better or easier when im adult because I'm special needs and doing adult things like taxes and having a job and bills I just can't do all of that
@Mystic_Dreamers You're not alone in feeling this way-many people live in abusive households and face similar struggles. I have one too. Out of 8 billion people in the world, millions are suffering from hunger, war, cancer... Paying bills and taxes is a normal part of life, and everyone has to deal with it. There's no way around it, so don't let it bring you down. Stay strong 🫶🏻🌸
This reminds me of how I felt last year. But then I started to pick back up some stuff I loved before. I got a hoola-hoop, I started to use more color in my art, sing when I’m home alone, listen to more positive music, watch cartoons from when I was a kid,cry when I need to, dance in my room, read my Bible, delete most of my socials, ect. It can and will get better. All you have to do is take that first little step🩷thank you so much for making this
Jesus changed my life when I was 15 and I'm so glad you are following him too! I'm in my late teens now and he is still being incredibly faithful and always will be.
I recently got diagnosed with depression. It was just like this. It was all colorful, everything was pretty, I smiled and laughed...over time it felt like I was in a bubble all day, and this video described it so well. Thank you. From one teen to another, stay strong guys. You can do it.
watching this made me emotional. The fun, enthusiasm, and overall happinness of being a child --- i miss it so much. Those moments were so fleeting, I just wish they would come back. Life feels so dull nowadays, which is what I felt was conveyed through this wonderful short film of yours. I enjoyed watching this A LOT. Thank you.
I love how it goes from wonderful childhood eyes, to middle school age transitioning from the feelings of childhood to that huge drop in high school when everything is seething and melancholy. I’m 18 now and it’s gotten tremendously better, however I still cry from childhood nostalgia. On the path to healing my inner child with so many other people around the world💗 Thank you.
i genuinely love this so much. i love the shots of the backyard- the same backyard that used to be so full of life from a child's eyes. as someone who is currently 14 and has felt this exact way for years and is only now getting away from it, i really adore the symbolism of every shot in this video. this is very very well done and i love it so much!! i love how the happy music slowed down once it got to the teenager's perspective, and the little birthday clip cutting to black to show how much they've grown since then. i love the bit of the unlit candle cutting to the wilting flower- absolutely gorgeous. this entire video is wonderful!
@fairyrileyy oh my gosh i just love you. i already know you’re probably an amazing friend you noticed every detail that i didnt think anyone would pay attention to or understand. thank you so much you’re so kind🤍🤍
@@created.to.create omg stop youre literally so sweet😭i literally love everything about this little film of yours! i adore how well you are able to perfectly convey emotions and a full story even without words! that's something that is really difficult to do, and i can tell you're very good at it! you deserve all the appreciation anyone can give, definitely! i absolutely adore how the clips from the child's perspective are rather fast-paced and very colorful and light, showing how childhood seems to move fast and how children tend to only see the good in things, compared to how the clips from the teenager's perspective are rather slow, fairly dreary and there is a lot less of them. i love love love the lack of color in the teenager's perspective clips!! i also adore the few clips in the teenager's perspective of the childhood toys- showing the person reminiscing though how they don't seem to matter much to the person anymore. absolutely gorgeous work! the shot of the makeup vanity and the lana posters (omg love lana fr!!) definitely hit me the hardest though. to me, it seemed like that was a symbolism for individuality (and beauty standards) and how much a lot of teens (including myself) struggle with that!! it just shows how almost all of a sudden, you realize just how many problems you have once you become a teenager, and it's difficult to find the life in things like the backyard trampoline or the childhood teddy bear. i could go on for hours about this work, absolutely stunning!! i subscribed immediately and will definitely be waiting to see more from you!! don't give up!
@ oh my gosh you are SO amazing!! i admire how much detail you notice. i’ve never met anyone who noticed as much as you and it’s amazing!! i’m so glad you got so much from this, that was the goal!! i didn’t think anyone would see this, i thought it would just be a silly short film but it means so much to me how much you loved it!!🤍🤍
I was watching this, realizing that i must not be alone in this feeling. Just because you feel alone does not mean you are. And the message at the end really meant a lot. Thank you for posting this.
When the text started rolling across the screen at the end, I started crying. (Which is crazy for me cause I hardly EVER cry, like, this was the first time in over a year. I guess I just needed to let some feelings out.) Thank you for making this, I really needed it.
came from your tiktok and this did NOT disappoint. even if i don’t personally relate, im so glad this short film was made just to really put the headspace into visual storytelling. 🙌
I love this! ❤ I also like how you represented how a person can feel like the world has gotten darker and less colorful as they grow older. Some people really do get less joyful when they grow up. As a person who loves nostalgia, this is an amazing video. Keep up the great work. ❤
Honestly this made me want to cry. I felt a small tear. I miss my younger days, thinking of them makes me want to cry. Thank you for this video. You have talent.
when i turned 10, in a few months, i moved to another country 10km away from where i was raised the first 10 years of my life, where my mother is from, this country is very different in many ways, speak another language, cultural differences, not getting to see my friends, for the first few years, especially the first one- i felt really lost, gloomy like the video shows, i felt like i didnt belong, i was scared to approach people and i would go to the school bathroom everyday to cry because i didnt want my parents to know i felt bad, i’d lie to them through my teeth holding my tears “im fine”, i would cry for the most mininal reasons at school, just to not cry at home. at night i often imagined the idea of what life would be if i didnt exist, if i wasnt here on earth. Nowadays, im 13, i finally established myself in this new country and i look at life with a similar approach of the first part of the video, planning what i’ll do next, always occupied, living the movie of life and doing interesting things all the time, hanging out with my friends, playing my guitar and realizing that for my own sanity, life is not that deep. thank you for this video, it helped me connect with my hardships and overcoming them.
This was deeply touching for me. I’m almost 20 and I relate to this heavily the colors of childhood the joy of playing outside and having no worries. Then just feeling the colors fade and everything just feels so dull. I’m glad I found this video i really needed to see it God bless you 🙏🩷
Sometimes it just feels like your whole world is breaking. Like thee’s no end to the sadness. Like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel, so you might aswell go back. But as you continue down that tunnel, you start seeing a glimpse of light, and that keeps you going. Some people stop right before they see the light. Honestly, i get to the point whee the tunnel gets longer and longer, like it never ends. But sometimes you have to keep going. Even if there are times you want to give up. Sometimes you start heading back, but look back and see that small light shining and continue. And sometimes, the light disappears. But there’s always a light, just sometimes it’s out of sight. Think of everything you have. Your likes, your dislikes, thinks that make you feel bright inside, some things that make the light harder to see, your friends, your family… all of these things can be positive or negative, but they all make *you*. The unique mess that is combined to make the person you are. There’s nobody out there quite like you. I don’t see the light. But i know it exists. It’s out there, and it’s all that keeps me going. Sometimes i have to take breaks, other times i’m sprinting down the tunnel, trying to get a glimpse. Sometimes i do get the glimpse, sometimes i don’t. I’ve thought of giving up, but i can’t. Because i couldn’t do that. To my friends, to my family. Even to the people who have bullied me. You help me get through it. *You. Cant. Stop. Me.*
I'm 15 right now, I'll turn 16 in April 1st!! I appreciate that video so much man!!!❤ I go through what every teen goes through, I have my 3 best buddies, I have a crush on a boy, and i also get into trouble at school like for skipping, bunking, or talking in class!! and I feel depressed sometimes, I just hope everything becomes better, I try to appreciate every little thing in life knowing that most people on earth go through way way more than what I go through❤❤
this is quite possibly the sweetest video ive seen on UA-cam💗 i feel like older people (parents, teachers, ect.) don’t realize how much a kid/teenager can actually struggle. We are being told “oh you don’t have mental health issues you’re only a kid” as if being a kid qualifies as being completely mentally healthy. Not everything is easy even for a kid. I love to see descriptiveness and meaning this video has. Whoever you are i love You and your life matters. You’re not dramatic, or stupid for any way you feel mentally. ❤
i only turned 13 a ago, though i have been feeling like this for way longer. idk why, this video is so vague yet specific. its like how everything was so vibrant and colourful when we where younger grows up to be more neutralised and dim. idk why i feel like so many people feel understood by this. so thanks
im 13. i feel nostalgic about everything. but its not a "sad nostalgia" . is a happy one. i know those moments were good, but there are better coming!!! loved this video
This videk deserves more attention, its well made i love it The part about your life being worth living made me tear up, in a positive way, meaning this message got to me
When i realized I wasn't a kid anymore and stuff would get sadder, harder and that the world would be so magic to me anymore, i decided I wouldn't let time kill my inner child. I decided i would still play, have fun, that even if i grew up, I wouldn't let go of my happiness. Things are difficult and im of course not as innocent and happy as how i was as a kid, but im sure this'll make a big difference in my life, someday.(Sorry for so many "would"s)
ah this is beautiful. I’m a teen and I sometimes just feel sad when I remember how colorful and beautiful everything used to be and how gray everything feels now. Thank you for this
Thank you so much for this. It was a unique and interesting way to show what it’s like to be a teenager. As a 17 year old myself, I’m really happy to see that other people know how I feel. For anyone else who relates to this video, I pray that you feel uplifted and happy again one day. We’re still kids. This is not the end even when it feels that way. Love yourself, and live in the moment. Because once you grow up, you’ll realize how stuck in the past you were when you were still so young.
As a 12 year old I can confirm that with all the social media and technology I’ve gotten so used to ignoring life. “Makeup is what makes me pretty”, “my hair is ugly” “I wish my tips were blonder than they are” “I hate my freckles” but I’ve gotten used to my body and my face and to living life properly and stopping wishing I was living a tv characters.
@Era_Manaj_Was_Here awww sweet girl you’re so young I would recommend deleting all social media except UA-cam, I had UA-cam at your age and I loved it and it didn’t keep me on my phone all the time. I wish there was something to keep you young.
Aww this makes me sad I'm not to much older than u and I feel this way, the sad part is I thought I was the prettiest girl in the world until I got told by others to change a lot and I have Started to feel a little better and realize I'm living life for myself and jesus and family and it's helped me not to care too much, I found that deleting social media except pinterest and UA-cam has been better
I'm 15 going 16 this year and i think I'm understanding life jus a lil bit more and what my dreams r hope by 16 or 17 I can make it my reality god bless everyone❤😊
A really simple, yet effective video. I sometimes feel stupid for feeling nostalgic over things because I'm still really young, even if other people around my age may feel the same. I've been struggling with my mental health for years now (even pre-covid) and it still hasn't been getting much better, even after years of medications and therapy. I still have thoughts about death and hopelessness, and it all really does feel like the world, life, everything just feels like it's getting more bleak and worn out. I wish I could just flick a switch in my brain to not be so obnoxiously depressing.
The name of your channel is creative (lol) in a sense, a truly inspiring creation. As a fellow creator, I'm captivated by your work. This video, the visuals are breathtaking, a poignant echo of a cherished past for those of us who feel its absence. I know a lot of people also suffer from burn out and emptiness, losing the passion or even the spark in themselves but to all those who struggle, I see the light in you. (Sorry I'm not great at writing and I'm still a student so yep)
i really miss being younger. i have so much to figure out now and i don’t feel ready to be an actual adult. i don’t anyone is ever actually ready. i’m graduating in may and i used to be so excited to be able to leave. i wanted to for my entire teenage years but now im terrified. i have no idea what im doing and i don’t even know what i can do. nothing feels right. it all seems useless sometimes. i’ve had to decide to keep myself alive multiple times in my life and it’s hard to live after that. there’s times i regret it but yes… this is what i needed at this point of my life…
I love this video, it brings back so much nostalgia and memories, I love it so much I can't even describe it. Thank you so much for caring for others, this video can really help many. I hope you're okay yourself, if anyone isn't yall can vent to me, I love listening pooks :3. But acctually this video is gold. All wishes and support to the creator and everyone else
Today is my birthday and this is first vid on my recommendations.this year i wanna love myself more,be less critical and enjoy being me.perfect video to start this amazing journey Thankyou❤.
I might only be 14 but so far the last two years has been hard for me. But I also tend to find joy in small things and I’ve been finding a lot of happiness in sonic for some reason but bc again I’m 14 everyone makes fun of me all bc I try to enjoy the little things. I donno. I just kinda needed a small vent. I’ve been the therapist friend and now I I’m the one who needs therapy. How.. delightful
Anyone can struggle no matter their age, don’t let anyone tell you that it’s not valid because you are young. I’m 14 as well and I know many people who have been through or going through the same thing as you, I hope things get better for you. xxx
Amazing short film it's so relatable ever since I turned 13 I started feeling this way I like not liking the idea of being a teenager. Now I've gotten used to it I've gotten more opportunities and learned more about people that I knew before or didn't. I will be turning 14 in two months and I'm just grateful I've made it this far because unforantely some people haven't or aren't able to just be a kid. To anyone feeling depressed and wanting to give up please don't. Because it's not something that you can take back they're always someone who loves you are thinks about you
i REALLY felt this, but at the same time want to remind everyone (and hope to remember myself) that even though life isnt as easy anymore, that doesnt mean it doesnt have its bright moments. im finishing up my sophomore year in high schol right now, and honestly, ive never felt so...down? just like unmotivated, unexcited and everytime we drive past my elementary school i LONGG to go back. but the truth is, that isn't possible. even if life sucks, this sounds horribly tone-deaf and cringe but i mean it in the best way- looking for the bright, positive moments is key. for me that's just the 30 minutes of lunch i get to spend with my friends, looking forward to whats for dinner after doing a shitload of homework, winning at team games during PE, bickering with my brother and cousins, watching my favorite shows and listening my favorite artists, taking walks outside when the suns out.... and on and on. even though it doesnt seem like there are a lot of these moments, theres beauty to every stage of life. high school sucks but we're going to get through this, so keep enjoying the little things!!
This short film is so emotional.. even though i don't relate to it personally I can see where you're coming from. Everything used to be so simple and care free! But now it feels like everyday's the same. Time goes by so fast, too fast. Yet some moments it feels like time is standing still. You captured the emotion perfectly! Unrelated question: what editing program did you make this in?
this is beautiful. i wish more adults and teens understood that so much can change, so much peace and freedom can be found, in living life like a little child. "whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." matthew 18:4 children may be looked down upon but in the Kingdom of Heaven they are the ones who understand what is important.
thank you so much for making this. i relate to this in so many ways. growing up is something that terrifies me and takes over my mind sometimes. this made me cry and i can tell you really took your time with this! again, thank you making this. and thank you for the message at the end🤍
This was how I felt a almost 2 years ago now and I had left that was for almost 4 years tho there were of course periods of joy. as the video said please ask for help if you feel this way, life is precious and so are you ❤
Why did this give a this memory that I don’t even remember if it happened or not anymore because at the beginning of the video I was trying to remember times in my life when I was younger that I had a bunch of toys like that and I couldn’t remember a time when I did, but I did remember that I went to this family’s house and stayed their for a night and at the house they had a bunch of toys like that and I wasn’t allowed to play with the toy if the kid who it belonged to said no even if the kid wasn’t even playing with it because I “wasn’t their kid” I remember having homemade waffles for breakfast and the parents asked if I liked waffles I said yes even tho I hated them (still do ) I don’t remember how I got to their house I don’t remember why i was there. I just remember my dad calling them “ our friends “ I don’t remember sleeping there either and I don’t even know if that truly happened I just remember very detailed parts of information and Ik I was very young at the time maybe 3 or 7? Ik when I was around those ages my dad would get too dr!nk to take care of me and my brother and I think when I went there my mom was busy or something I remember complaining abt how horrible my stay at their house was to my mom she said something like “sorry I couldn’t be there for u instead “ Yk I’m starting to wonder was that foster care or something idk if any police or anybody else was involved tho

I appreciate that video so much man!!!❤ I go through what every teen goes through, I have my 3 best buddies, I have a crush on a boy, and i also get into trouble at school like for skipping, bunking, or talking in class!! and I feel depressed sometimes, I just hope everything becomes better, I try to appreciate every little thing in life knowing that most people on earth go through way way more than what I go through❤❤
Oh my goodness, I'm also 15! I'm turning 16 on the 2nd of April lol Wishing you the best ❤
this is quite possibly the sweetest video ive seen on UA-cam💗 i feel like older people (parents, teachers, ect.) don’t realize how much a kid/teenager can actually struggle. We are being told “oh you don’t have mental health issues you’re only a kid” as if being a kid qualifies as being completely mentally healthy. Not everything is easy even for a kid. I love to see descriptiveness and meaning this video has. Whoever you are i love
You and your life matters. You’re not dramatic, or stupid for any way you feel mentally. ❤
This is so beautiful, the way it was made, the music, everything was so relatable and nostalgic in the most charming and sad way, keep it up!
@@Selenite_Animator omg thank you so much🤍🤍🤍

i only turned 13 a ago, though i have been feeling like this for way longer. idk why, this video is so vague yet specific. its like how everything was so vibrant and colourful when we where younger grows up to be more neutralised and dim. idk why i feel like so many people feel understood by this. so thanks
I'm 13 too
This was absolutely beautiful
this actually made me cry. thank you - i needed this.
gasp this was so beautiful but it made me so sad :(
@@stale_cheezits awe you’re so sweet and i’m sorryyy😭🤍🤍
im 13. i feel nostalgic about everything. but its not a "sad nostalgia" . is a happy one. i know those moments were good, but there are better coming!!! loved this video
This videk deserves more attention, its well made i love it
The part about your life being worth living made me tear up, in a positive way, meaning this message got to me
When i realized I wasn't a kid anymore and stuff would get sadder, harder and that the world would be so magic to me anymore, i decided I wouldn't let time kill my inner child. I decided i would still play, have fun, that even if i grew up, I wouldn't let go of my happiness. Things are difficult and im of course not as innocent and happy as how i was as a kid, but im sure this'll make a big difference in my life, someday.(Sorry for so many "would"s)
you just earned yourself a sub. im 16 and my school is so hard but this made it all feel so validated
ah this is beautiful.
This was genuinely so good.
@@JAYY_HYUNG thank you so much🤍

I will remember this! You poured your heart into this, I appreciate and love it so much! It touched me and it is so well made!
@Sarah-xy9hc thank you so much!
Im turning 17 next month so this is kind of heart wrenching to watch 😭
Damn, thanks for making me cry
I'm 15 going 16 this year and i think I'm understanding life jus a lil bit more and what my dreams r hope by 16 or 17 I can make it my reality god bless everyone❤😊
wow. this is so true and relatable and beautiful. Thank you.
@@eyadventures4078 oh my gosh this means so much thank you🤍🤍🤍
i really miss being younger. i have so much to figure out now and i don’t feel ready to be an actual adult. i don’t anyone is ever actually ready. i’m graduating in may and i used to be so excited to be able to leave. i wanted to for my entire teenage years but now im terrified. i have no idea what im doing and i don’t even know what i can do. nothing feels right. it all seems useless sometimes. i’ve had to decide to keep myself alive multiple times in my life and it’s hard to live after that. there’s times i regret it but yes… this is what i needed at this point of my life…
I love this video, it brings back so much nostalgia and memories, I love it so much I can't even describe it. Thank you so much for caring for others, this video can really help many. I hope you're okay yourself, if anyone isn't yall can vent to me, I love listening pooks :3. But acctually this video is gold. All wishes and support to the creator and everyone else

This is so well made. Good job!
I think sometimes we’re so focused on what could have been that we forget about what can be
Growing up feels like everythings suddenly overwhelmingly loud and terrifyingly quiet at the same time
This is truly beautiful.
Also the aggressive piano slamming made me chuckle

@@whynotcringe4832 thank you so much!!
I’m 14 as well and I know many people who have been through or going through the same thing as you, I hope things get better for you. xxx
This came at the perfect time for me today thank you💜💜
Amazing short film it's so relatable ever since I turned 13 I started feeling this way I like not liking the idea of being a teenager. Now I've gotten used to it I've gotten more opportunities and learned more about people that I knew before or didn't. I will be turning 14 in two months and I'm just grateful I've made it this far because unforantely
some people haven't or aren't able to just be a kid. To anyone feeling depressed and wanting to give up please don't. Because it's not something that you can take back they're always someone who loves you are thinks about you
You honestly have so much potential love.Keep up the amazing work👍❤
this means so much thank you!!🤍
Why is this so incredibly perfect❤️
i REALLY felt this, but at the same time want to remind everyone (and hope to remember myself) that even though life isnt as easy anymore, that doesnt mean it doesnt have its bright moments. im finishing up my sophomore year in high schol right now, and honestly, ive never felt so...down? just like unmotivated, unexcited and everytime we drive past my elementary school i LONGG to go back. but the truth is, that isn't possible. even if life sucks, this sounds horribly tone-deaf and cringe but i mean it in the best way- looking for the bright, positive moments is key. for me that's just the 30 minutes of lunch i get to spend with my friends, looking forward to whats for dinner after doing a shitload of homework, winning at team games during PE, bickering with my brother and cousins, watching my favorite shows and listening my favorite artists, taking walks outside when the suns out.... and on and on. even though it doesnt seem like there are a lot of these moments, theres beauty to every stage of life. high school sucks but we're going to get through this, so keep enjoying the little things!!
Adolescent is such a short time in the grand scheme of life but such a pivotal time for us
Im 11 and i dont relate, but its really sad that other people feel this way. I wish you the best if you feel like this, it'll get better. ❤
This short film is so emotional.. even though i don't relate to it personally I can see where you're coming from. Everything used to be so simple and care free! But now it feels like everyday's the same. Time goes by so fast, too fast. Yet some moments it feels like time is standing still. You captured the emotion perfectly!
Unrelated question: what editing program did you make this in?

hella underrated
Well done!!👍🏻
Ik when I was around those ages my dad would get too dr!nk to take care of me and my brother and I think when I went there my mom was busy or something I remember complaining abt how horrible my stay at their house was to my mom she said something like “sorry I couldn’t be there for u instead “
Yk I’m starting to wonder was that foster care or something idk if any police or anybody else was involved tho
Dawg,I swear i was a child then just spawned as a teen😭
