Wonderful video full of great techniques for creating chippy, crackled finishes. Each method has its very own character with convincing aged worn look which I love. Invaluable tips indeed and thank you for sharing!
Wow! This has been probably my favorite video. You have all the chippy techniques together to reference back to. Love the double layer pickling salt technique! Love a video how to make things look rusty and worn techniques in one video. Thank you so much for this video! ❤🙂
I seen on a video that u can use a candle rud the wax over the board in dry paint or whatever you like on the bottom layer after u rub the wax over the board paint over the wax after that paint drys then use ur scarper and scarp it off I have done it and its cleaner than Vaseline
This is very helpful! The salt method appears to be the technique I’ll need. Was your finished salt painted sample free of any visible/raised salt granules? Does the paint have to be chalk paint?

I’ve always preferred the salt wash for a realistic chippy finish. Amy Howard sells a cracked gesso, I like using too.

That works amazing it's a great way to create chippy paint
I'm sorry I wrote about the wax method but I see it now on the video 😊😊
Can you use this technique for découpage projects?🤔
Yes you sure can
❤❤❤
thanks for Watching glad you enjoyed
Can u do a transfer over the crackled paint?
Sure can
I like the hair spray techniques but why don’t you see the the other colors? The white hides them.
It’s very hard to show on camera, but you can see them peeking through, and it just is more than natural age luck
Can you reverse graphic over the salt paints?
Sure can
Thanks! I've got some cool ideas for some family signs, memories of our parents 😇
I signed up 5/1 for the monthly patron font bundle but can’t see how to access it. Please help!

Not sure what chippy means maybe an example of chippy in the beginning would help …
The whole video is a demonstration of what chippy paint finish means. It's variable so she's showing examples.

It is smooth when all finished ☑️ yes chalk paint works best
