Looks like the Highlanders and the new Royal Scots Borderers are in there too. Impressive looking Tattoo. Interesting to see all those Swiss bands marching off. Looks like New Zealand Army Band was there also.
@barker747 nicely said mate the best mass pipes and drums come from scotland although played throughout the world as no other country has this and dont the bloody english hate it brilliant
bobby sibbald The English love us and i hate you,who hates a country that has great people in it.That respect us and are glad to call ud brotherd in arms.
Thanks for this Countermarch, but Black Beer?? your German heritage showing through, though the Scots lads on return to barracks probably would love a Black Beer. ;o)))))
So more German civvy pipe bands are dressing like British regimental pipe bands now? I know the trend started a while ago with the Rhine pipes & drums and Owl pipe band that played a lot with the bands of the Royal Tank Regiment, but seems like the Swiss Tattoo has taken things a step further. Well, the problem now is that with all these new popular Tattoos starting up there are not enough British army pipe bands to go around anymore. Guess they have to make up numbers for massed pipe bands.
There appears to be at least a few Scots regiments in there and for the ones that are not be thankful that other nations have come to embrace the great highland bagpipe. At least it is not some irish bunch claiming it as their own.
Its not the Highlanders or the RSBs, just civvies dressed up to look like them. The "Highlanders and the RSBs" are bands from Germany and nothing to do with the British Army....
@7607987600 scotland forever the mass pipes and drums where originated from scotland and played throughout the world during world wars the pipers stood there on the battle field bullets flying past but they stood their ground and played to encourage the troops no other army in the world has this nor done this scotland is the only country whose culture is known throughout the world and the english hate that with pure jelousy
I don't think so Bob, the drummer boy has been used by many armies over the years to encourage the troops, it is not unique to the scots. As a post note, jealously has an "a" in it, now fuck off and pick up that litter you moron.
I think its absolutely fantastic how the pipes and drums get a warm reception wherever in the world they go

Scotland the Brave is perhaps the only bagpipe tune that everyone in the world knows
Hello mister Countermarch,
Why do you use a photo of me for your profile? ; )
What pipe bands are playing?
