For better HDR videos on the Note 10+, you have to enable HDR10+, which is something the iPhone doesn't offer - it will improve video quality and HDR quite a bit. On a side note, why do skin tones on the iphone always look like the person either has jaundice, a sunburn, or a ton of makeup on?
The best comparison we've seen! We've been researching for two weeks to add a camera phone to our production set up for a second camera, behind the scenes, and moving camera. We want something that will be a close match for our 4k Lumix camera. Also, great to see an Alabama company and guy so successful on UA-cam! Congrats!
Ok I got to say this. The Selfie shot of the blown out background happens to both phones. Not just Samsung, I noticed the angle is the phones will allow certain shots to be worse than others when focusing on a selfie. Now the live focus of the Samsung can be adjusted and the hdr doesn't handle whites due to this fact. It actually helps the blur effect in the background. As far as 4k video white highlights, there was a camera software update that addressed this issue as well. But I'm in agreement the 4k looks sharper as of now for the 11pro
I've got the Note 10 Plus and a standard iPhone 11. On the standard lens I usually do prefer the images out of the iPhone, especially the night mode ones. I haven't been too impressed with the ultrawide on the iPhone though. I'm getting a lot lens distortion on the iPhone and overall I feel the quality of the Samsung ultrawide is just all around better. The super steady video on the Samsung is also an amazing feature to have especially when chasing a toddler around trying to get a good shot. Both look phenomenal in most optimal lighting situations.... really can't go wrong with either.

Hello, I just discovered your channel and I'm very impressed with the quality of this comparison. I am definitely sticking around! Great job! Here's an idea: the same way you transition audio comparison from 1 device to the other, could you manually sync some photos (and maybe a few video shots, as much as possible given the difficult task) as such that half the screen is one and a half is the other, giving the same continuity as the audio comparison and offering a unique and clear way of seeing color/sharpness/HDR differences without having to move our eyes from one side of the screen to the other. An easy way of doing this, but not very pleasant for long videos, would be to mirror the images so that the same objects recorded by the 2 devices "meet" in the middle, revealing dramatically more of the differences. Even if it's not feasible, thanks for reading this! Cheers

It probably tries to add smoothing. Also if faces are too bright and the HDR reduces contrast too much in this area it can do that. Then increasing saturation on top of that just makes it yuk ;p
@@RennieAsh it's not really a smoothening effect I'm seeing .. it's more like it literally looks like plastic like some glossy matte look.. smoothening makes it look soft but this doesn't look soft at all it just looks weird
Speakeasy might be the other things I typed. When HDR goes to far, certain brighter parts are brought down and darker parts brought up that the brighter parts are now darker than the darker parts. Whatever it is, I guess it’s Samsung’s turn to fix the face issue. iPhone fixed their tomato faces :)
LIGHT POWER GRAND Note 10+ has blue light which cut 40% of hurting light. iPhone has the same display since 2017. Blue light is something you would not know about is you were an Isheep fan boy
Camera aside, there’s no way I’d take the iPhone over the Note. The Note just delivers wayyyyy more than the iPhone does, while having just as good a camera.
every one of their phones look this way. It's astounding that people still use them as a point of reference when testing camera specs. Samsung appeals more to the people who know nothing about photography and think every photo should have a filtered and completely unnatural look.
As an owner of both phones, I am very impressed with your unbiased opinion. It seems that they both can improve with a couple software updates. Anyone can overcome most shortcomings on a shot-by-shot basis with a little trial-and-error.
One of the best and unbiased reviews I've seen. Well done. You've got a new subscriber. Really is a draw overall in my opinion. Both have strengths and weaknesses. The worrying thing for Apple I would think though, is that this is them catching up, but not clearly surpassing. As the S11 (really the phone to compare the iPhone 11 with) with a mega 108MP sensor and 5x optical zoom is around the corner, it doesn't look good for them as I see the S11 absolutely crushing the competition.
Since productivity wise the note 10+ edges the iphone 11 pro, i'm keeping my note10+. The difference in camera and video is not considerably big for me anyway. Both take great great pics and vids. Oh, you just got a new subscriber. I'm glad that although you favor the iphone, you didn't make the results become one-sided, unlike some iphone chanels who were simply too biased to acknowledge the note 10+'s cameras ;)
The mic on the iphone is mindblowing again S10+.....Very good review!!! Both did a good job but i love the HDR of the iphone because i hate outblown skys

Both are good in their own respects..the Samsung looks post processed as taken from a studio... sometimes it just blows the background...low light on the iPhone is dope.....video is Apple forte but Samsung is bringing in stability modes...
the iphone looks underexposed by 1 stop with exposure locked and the samsung overexposed by half a stop with autoexposure that brightens up automatically against the sun. Why didn't you use exposure lock on both ?
All round the iPhone looks better. I’ve compared my max pro to my note 10 + and it blows it out of the water. I’m also a photographer and videographer so recovering Detail’s I’m blown highlights? NOPE.. that’s not acceptable. Stability is great on the iPhone as well and short of following an active shooter there are rare instances when you need to run... and if it’s for video get a gimbal. They are 100.00 for god sakes.

True, there are too many blind fans that can't accept the fact that their competitor is better at something. I edit photos and videos. One thing I learned is that blown highlights can *NEVER* be recovered.
I think both cameras have an equal amount of pros and cons. Personally it's hard to say which one is better because both cameras are BEAST. I think they are both winners. It just comes down to personal preference.
I think the iPhone wins it for me but still hard for me to move from android i can't wait for pixel 4xl cus it not coming with 256g variant and dont believe pixel4 will beat iphone 11 in video recording
I personally think still photos is more important in a smartphone camera. That’s why I would prefer the Pixel 3 over the new iPhone 11. But if video recording is important, then yeah, iPhone is multiple years ahead of others in that department. But years behind in still photos. Very interesting.

SPER CA TE-AM AJUTAT IN DETALIU.
@@brw1378 Multumesc pentru raspunsul detaliat.
Avand in vedere ca de joculetele care consuma multa putere nu ma ating, nu cred ca voi avea nevoie de medium power saving or adaptive. Camera, bateria, designul si s-penul m-au atras la inceput.
Dar urmarind videouri comparative intre note10+ si iphone11pro sau Huawei's latest flagships realizez ca nu ajunge in acelas rank cu ceilalalti.
In termeni bateriei este aceasi poveste 🤔.
Note 10 Plus 2. iPhone 11 Pro Max 3. Samsung S10 5G 4. Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5. Samsung S10 Plus/iPhone 11 Pro 6. Huawei P30 Pro/OnePlus 7 Pro/OnePlus 7T
Cele cu slash sunt la egal
Thanks so much for watching and commenting! :)
Most comparison i saw on youtube gave easy win for iphone 11 pro over note 10+...but different with you..i love it,thanks for honest comparison...i really enjoyed your channel
Thanks Riz!
I like how the note 10s front camera makes the faces bright and all but why is it that Samsung's skin tones always make them look like plastic
How did he take the videos at the same time?
I love iPhone 11 pro max pretty good never use iOS befor mostly Samsung .apple true colour and my eye never hurt when watch omg movie
You can turn off blue light on Samsung at night
LIGHT POWER GRAND Note 10+ has blue light which cut 40% of hurting light. iPhone has the same display since 2017. A13 bionic chip yet Note 10+ is at fast as it, the cameras come down to preference, sometimes Isheep takes better pics sometimes the note 10+ does. Blue light is something you would not know about is you were an Isheep fan boy
Ramos
No, iPhone does NOT have the same display since 2017. The 11 Pro’s bluelight output is lower than Note 10+.
your face is not that white in real life than what the samsung is showing on all your sample vid and pics lol.
how do u know
Did you update the Samsung before taking night shots? Samsung did an update that is a massive improvement to night shots.
Thanks for asking, and yes, I made sure all was updated
I'm also so glad that you attacked the elephant in the room about appl v Samsung.
Camera aside, there’s no way I’d take the iPhone over the Note. The Note just delivers wayyyyy more than the iPhone does, while having just as good a camera.
The colors of the iPhone are more natural and the colors of the Samsung look very saturated as usual...
every one of their phones look this way. It's astounding that people still use them as a point of reference when testing camera specs. Samsung appeals more to the people who know nothing about photography and think every photo should have a filtered and completely unnatural look.
Samsung use Light filter
As an owner of both phones, I am very impressed with your unbiased opinion. It seems that they both can improve with a couple software updates. Anyone can overcome most shortcomings on a shot-by-shot basis with a little trial-and-error.
Wich one is better camera phone?
interesting. on another video and text comparison I found online, the sumsung has better blue sky, almost exactly opposite from your test. why?
Top 3 best camera models on the marker this 4.8.2020.?Please!!Thanks!!
Thanks for the sub!
Since productivity wise the note 10+ edges the iphone 11 pro, i'm keeping my note10+. The difference in camera and video is not considerably big for me anyway. Both take great great pics and vids. Oh, you just got a new subscriber. I'm glad that although you favor the iphone, you didn't make the results become one-sided, unlike some iphone chanels who were simply too biased to acknowledge the note 10+'s cameras ;)
cezzarmicu not in camera it dosnt! It’s still very good thought 😃
Thanks for the sub - both have fantastic qualities
6:22 your results prove that people just want to hate on Apple no matter what
The Note 10+ is just better. The iphone preserves the clouds, but the main subject, that is you running doesn't show up with the iphone, it's to dark
Finally a good comparison video with no bias. I was worried about note 10 camera quality but I feel confident ordering it now
The mic on the iphone is mindblowing again S10+.....Very good review!!! Both did a good job but i love the HDR of the iphone because i hate outblown skys
Thank you!
I prefer to see the main object that is the person running than an outblown sky. The iphone is just to dark. The Note 10+has better exposure, my vote is for the Note 10+
@@rwyo83 i love the Nature, often problems with outblown things outdoors when the sun is shining...HDR ist much importent for a camera just using Auto settings. I think both are good for different szenarios
my Note 10+ has that auto focus weirdness ONLY on the telephoto lens. Thought it was just me with that issue.
Audio sounds better on the iPhone
What I noticed about my note 10 is that when you turn the tracking auto focus on, the auto focus becomes fluid
klien lux ikr its awesome
it's back and forth these are both Awesome Fanily a unbiased camera review most UA-camrs claim that iPhone cameras are so far ahead thank you am sharing this every where.
I dont understand how he could make the same video with 2 different phones
He has a tripod that holds 2 phones together
Both are good in their own respects..the Samsung looks post processed as taken from a studio... sometimes it just blows the background...low light on the iPhone is dope.....video is Apple forte but Samsung is bringing in stability modes...
Raj Varghese also Samsung wins because they have better dynamic range as seen in the background waves of the water.
Raj Varghese video I prefer Note 10+ because you can fit more people and iPhone looks a bit orangy
the iphone looks underexposed by 1 stop with exposure locked and the samsung overexposed by half a stop with autoexposure that brightens up automatically against the sun. Why didn't you use exposure lock on both ?
why no 60 fps video test?
Excellent video, mostly because I care more about 1080p comparisons and most of the videos from other creators are just in 4k.
Note 10+ is my weapon of choice but I will admit the iPhone 11 Pro Max cameras look great
All round the iPhone looks better.
D.H.T. Media the thing about people is “”no matter how good the iphone 11 pro camera is, people will only vote for their favourite products” now I’m an iPhone user and have been disappointed is the cameras in iPhones, but apples done an amazing job on the camera of the iPhone 11 pro, (I got the iPhone 11 pro Max just for it’s amazing camera)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke the Samsung video was edited, for sure !
spamtelevision how do you know?
True, there are too many blind fans that can't accept the fact that their competitor is better at something.
I edit photos and videos. One thing I learned is that blown highlights can *NEVER* be recovered.
6:20 it is because of fanboys....every company has them, some are louder. I think blind tests are are great idea with a reveal on the video!
Loved how you were fair to both phones!
Thanks so much Karan!
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke if possible please make one video on XS max vs 11 pro max camera and speed test on iOS 13.1.2
I think both cameras have an equal amount of pros and cons. Personally it's hard to say which one is better because both cameras are BEAST. I think they are both winners. It just comes down to personal preference.
Very true!
@@Mistygio to spend more than 700euros on a smartphone the quality should be judge on video quality cus even under 400euros phones do well on pictures eg.pixel 3axl
