@Kerry, love your pre fab tests/tours; however, pls start testing/reporting the heating/cooling systems, b/c I don't believe that those can run off-grid in hot/cold weather. TIA!

Thank you for yet another eye opener. The M1 Pro as shown is approx. U$ 750. per Sq. Ft. There's simply not enough features and benefits to this dwelling to justify this cost. Am I missing something here?
yes, you missing the fact that there are no other homes in the world can guarantee 100% solar power self-sustainability 24/7/365 in any weather in any climate with running boiler, heating, AC, washer-dryer, kitchen and even snow-melting roof. try to calculate how to make this work on average $100/sq/ft/ structure - and you will need to add $1000 to that $100
Yes indeed! We're all missing an inspection of the primary feature i.e. battery, panels, inverter, mini split, water heater capacity etc that people buy this unit for. But the reviewer enjoyed a bottomless cup of coffee, so we know we won't kill our batteries satisfying our craving for sweet treats during the zombie apocalypse! A hint on energy efficiency would be enlightening, especially since it seems to be seaworthy, with those redundant airtight double doors! And it has USB C!
Pretty cool. I don't personally care about the "smart home" features and I have a hard time buying the claim @3:07 "can run all systems, including heating and AC, water boiler and home appliances using only solar energy and batteries in any weather 24/7". Put one in Phoenix where they can go over 100 days in a row of 100+ degree weather. AC is running 24/7 there, this can do that for 3 months straight? How about the mountains of Colorado in winter with weeks of overcast reducing the solar intake. It can provide adequate heat throughout winter?
Thank you for the video. It's nice to see all kinds of living alternatives. People who comment are so lame. They act like something isn't worth watching just because it isn't something for them. Get a life!
Yes but we can get ideas for DYI Shipping containers or Quonset huts are a start. in the desert you bury them in sand and doors with views on each end. On high ground!
As a high end builder in the northeast US, whose customers love closed system window blinds, solar or geothermal based power systems, wireless tech, paneling as opposed to gypsum sheet rock walls, appliances and plumbing fixtures which are hard to replace: I’d say these homes are going to be VERY difficult to maintain. Probably these homes have a life of 7 to 15 years until the maintenance is impossible or prohibitively expensive, unless this company can truely solve the maintenance challenges. I’d compare it to buying and maintaining a vehicle from Tesla.
I absolutely love the idea of this sort of dwelling, but yeah your concern occurred to me about mid-video: this house is so vertically integrated (I assume) that if the manufacturer disappears, you’re screwed if one of the components goes bad. Hopefully it’s serviceable while the manufacturer is in business, but at what cost?
Kerry....apparently the solar panels are adequate for the power (electrical) needs of this prefab home, but what about the water? Hot and cold running water, bathroom and kitchen plumbing, sewage lines, etc. Could you please explain how that would work for this type of home?
That's more than my four bedroom two bathrooms house on a corner and three city lots $235,900 with a detached carriage house and a tack shed subbing as a garden shed
Starting at 15:40 it looks like there is condensation between two panes of glass? Is that in fact what I am seeing? Perfect B&B. For real life living, I guess I would add sheds on the property. A "walk-in shed" for real clothes storage. 😄A catch-all shed (or two) for stuff.
Amazing product and well produced video. Well designed space. Love that bedroom is separate from living space. The price is more than I expected but what did I expect?
This is incredible. Consider the lack of cost for water, energy, city services each yr. And the locations that are possible (pros/cons). Plus relocation options. These products show a clear desire to be flexible as we ride out this transition, the new wild norm for a while. Just make sure you learn enough and have the things needed to fix/modify everything in it. No point in a self sustaining system that you can't sustain yourself. I can imagine these as expensive BNBs at festivals. Or just about anywhere.
4:30 I'm not liking the uneven gaps between the ceiling and the filler panels on the end wall. It makes it look like it's poorly made. Double front doors? Why?
I'd love to see a factory tour, and know what the lead time is for one of these homes. Also, what options are there? I assume you don't have to have a bunk if you don't want to, for instance, or a projector TV.
Very interesting. I must have your recipe for breakfast. Oh, as soon as you opened that oven door, I could smell it from here! 😂😂😂 And a factory tour would be great. What about sewer hookups and options? Composting toilet? Water tanks? Thanks! New subscriber.
Looks creative, yet expensive~ I’d love to hear about non-off gassing materials, organic mattresses/couch, non-formaldehyde releasing laminate wood products, And the ability to red shift all the lighting. I noticed you can do Amber light option in the kitchen (which is key after sunset) and you said a warm light, however all the blue light emitting LEDs are really affecting our health…. Sadly. Do you have an update on ZenniHome since their new facility in Page AZ & partnership with the Navajo Nation?? 😊
I would like to know about durability. How will it stand up to earthquakes, hurricanes, natural disasters. How energy efficient is it. The afore mentioned if done well can definitely more than justify the price. Also is the deck included and How much on average would installation be. Does the company offer expert installation? Thank you I enjoyed your well done video.
That's a LOT of glass with no overhangs. Makes me wonder what it's like in the summer months with the sun shining directly into the thing from every direction.

YES ! Factory tour please! This home is perfect!
Will try to line it up
@Kerry, love your pre fab tests/tours; however, pls start testing/reporting the heating/cooling systems, b/c I don't believe that those can run off-grid in hot/cold weather. TIA!
I’ve built bigger for less. Idk if what I’ve done was as efficient, but it ran completely off grid, and looked as good as this. Of course I’m a tradesman. I can also do passable trim work. Point: I feel like this could be done for 1/2 the money.
Thats awesome! Post it on youtube
less than half the money
My immediate thought was that Kerry is reviewing a greenhouse. It probably looks a lot more impressive in person.
@@maxgerbut8672 There are NO homes in the world than can guarantee 100% solar power, self sustainability, 24/7/365 in any weather.
With sufficient battery capacity, it is possible and many are doing so with their own homes.
All you need is to have it on a piece of property that has its own water well and you could be totally off-grid. 👍
Rain catchment if no well or deliver water to storage tank(s)?
sure but you could do it for half the cost and not look like a cheap drywall mobile home with too many "smart home" amenities for me!
and it even comes with plates and glasses, wow I'm sold.
Thank you for the video. It's nice to see all kinds of living alternatives. People who comment are so lame. They act like something isn't worth watching just because it isn't something for them. Get a life!
Hooray 🎉. Thursday fix of Kerry and his wide variety of homes to see! 😁.
🥶🖤🔔👍🏻❤️
Appreciate that!
does it have a cook top
I’m not trying to kill viewership but putting the price in the title would help a lot of us decide if we are even going to watch
Totally Agree on all of the videos like this but they all wait to the end.
You'd never watch and he would never get "likes" and then his cost per view would go away.
True.
That's more than my four bedroom two bathrooms house on a corner and three city lots $235,900 with a detached carriage house and a tack shed subbing as a garden shed
yeah if you live in diverse areas of chicago. no thanks, joy boy.
Did you consider all the savings you would get from the solar panels?
@@mikeablesyeah but another $25k outlay
@@fred-n6u$235,900 here, this would be $500k+ in Chicago, my sister lives there.
@@mikeables Yes, the customer is getting f*cked. Buy a large travel trailer instead and park it on a rural lot.
I wpuld be very interested in a space like this! Love it!
Luv this
Glad to hear that 🤝
Starting at 15:40 it looks like there is condensation between two panes of glass? Is that in fact what I am seeing?
Perfect B&B. For real life living, I guess I would add sheds on the property. A "walk-in shed" for real clothes storage. 😄A catch-all shed (or two) for stuff.
Amazing product and well produced video. Well designed space. Love that bedroom is separate from living space. The price is more than I expected but what did I expect?
Still what to know how it is rated for wildfires.

Thanks, Kerry.
Thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Like the looks! But does the bathroom have a window? (The one side next to the sink reminds me of closed horizonal blinds.)
3:24 - It almost sounds like it could sell power back to the grid if that's correct.
Wow…. Looks very comfortable and very sleek! How much a night ?
4:30 I'm not liking the uneven gaps between the ceiling and the filler panels on the end wall. It makes it look like it's poorly made. Double front doors? Why?
I'd love to see a factory tour, and know what the lead time is for one of these homes. Also, what options are there? I assume you don't have to have a bunk if you don't want to, for instance, or a projector TV.
Hi Kerry..I am worried about the birds that may hit the reflective outside windows and walls. I do like the solar panels on the roof tho.
Nicely built, if you ever need to replace a window (glass) install plexiglass, you'll be glad you did
Will keep that in mind
I'm in the Apple ecosystem, and this home runs on Apple HomeKit automation. I like it.
Yeah its cool
Very interesting. I must have your recipe for breakfast. Oh, as soon as you opened that oven door, I could smell it from here! 😂😂😂 And a factory tour would be great. What about sewer hookups and options? Composting toilet? Water tanks? Thanks! New subscriber.
thanks for watching Sharon!
I saw an oven, is there a stove (hob)? It looked like there should be additional space above the washing machine behind the towel rack.
Love it. It looks like a holodeck on Startrek. Are you sure it’s real?
its real! haha
Also is the deck included and
How much on average would installation be. Does the company offer expert installation? Thank you I enjoyed your well done video.
It looks really nice.
That's a LOT of glass with no overhangs. Makes me wonder what it's like in the summer months with the sun shining directly into the thing from every direction.
I for one would like to see how this home is built so, if you get to do a tour, i'll be watching. The house is off the grid. Obviously connected to a water source but what about that toilet? Septic system? An electric incinerating toilet? Yes, I really would like this to retire in. Now if I can just get these folks to set up a factory on the East Coast I could seriously reduce shipping cost.
How does the toilet work off grid? What type of self contained toilet are they providing, and what maintenance is involved?
No stove?
It's crazy that you can get something for the most part and twice as big for nearly half they price if they didn't manufacture in CA.
Very nice bathroom
Nice use of glass on the outside and double entrance doors but really not that much different about the rest, the shower room could benefit from a window even if it was only a high level one...
Looks so pretty! A glass house in the south though… 105° + is insanity in the summer. 🥵 Makes sense for California, except for the cost per sq. ft.
No all of them are windows. Thanks for watching
1:37 OMG, he’s explaining, in depth, how doors work. How long is this video? 🤦♂️
Lol!
