what I understood from this clip is a metaphor for the miracle. we noticed that there is a heart outside the body in the scene, I understand that it is inside a body, being attacked by a disease, represented by the fighting men, at the end of the clip there is a strong white liz from above, which refers to something divine, and then, inexplicably, the aggressors start to disappear, in other words, the miracle being done. Very clever clip, and the music is wonderful.
I love hearing people’s different interpretations of art! I understood this to be an apocalyptic scene with heavy religious symbolism, starting with the illuminated crosses (both upright and inverted) at the very start and the heart to be Mary’s sacred heart (also portrayed in traditional iconography outside of her body). I agree the flash is “something divine”, and I interpreted the people then being sucked into the sky as the rapturing. It’s a lovely song and I appreciate you sharing how you saw the video!
this is just one of those bands that I just stumbled across years ago & have been in love with ever since (& she is so beautiful & that voice is so angelic but also has hints of anger to it in my opinion)
