A couple additional things: 1) The workspace (or layout) I like the use the most is Effects, so hop into that workspace if you want Premiere to look like it does in this video. 2) I'll answer pretty much any question you ask in the comments, so don't hesitate to reach out! I'm also active on Twitter (twitter.com/BeardedASMR) and you can DM me any time. Thanks for watching!
Hi :) This was extremely helpful, on point! I just started working with Premiere Pro and knew nothing and now I can edit a whole video, thank you! Hope to see more ;)
I just want to say this video has helped me so much and I am so grateful you made this. I've been having problems with my microphone popping and this really helps prevent that and completely changes the quality of my videos. Can't say my mic sounds as good as yours though...
I really liked this tutorial! I'm already a pretty established editor but I love seeing how other people approach things. Here are a few things I'd add. 1) You sort of touched on it when syncing the audio, but editing to the audio waveform is a big thing in editing. Especially in terms of identifying specific areas (like the intro) without watching the entire video. It's something most people do intuitively, but using the audio waveform in this way can be really useful for editing longer videos. 2) With your ripple edit, I always like to press shift+delete when selecting the clip that I want to delete, that way I can delete the clip AND the gap in one action. Saves a lot of time in the long run! 3) Putting crossfades between each cut can also get rid of harsh sounds that tend to crop up when cutting. I have a 0.03 second Constant Power audio transition as my default audio transition so that I can select my entire timeline and apply that to each cut (just be aware that it will override any existing transitions) 4) Adjustment layers are a godsend and people should use more of them. That is all! 5) I'm glad you touched on the audio and used Audio Track Mixer. A lot of people ignore audio editing in their videos. It's amazing what some compression can do, for example. It ususally doesn't matter too much (but it definitely can) but when using the Audio Track Mixer it applies effects in order from top to bottom. Again, you kinda touched on this a bit but didn't specifically state it. I agree with setting the limiter to -1, that's been my standard ever since I discovered limiters lol.
Great points! I've been an audio editor a lot longer than a video editor, so I edit by looking at the waveform. I think many of your points can be brought up in a second video! Thanks for the detailed feedback.
I actually didn't know the answer to this, but found this video! Try it out and see if it starts working again. ua-cam.com/video/fTeIadcw3E8/v-deo.html

Hi!, how do you re-sync your audio and video if somehow they're no longer synced? (synchronize is greyed out)
I actually didn't know the answer to this, but found this video! Try it out and see if it starts working again. ua-cam.com/video/fTeIadcw3E8/v-deo.html
