Hello from india. You have friendly neighbour countries. I know , America is facing problem of illegal immigrants from Mexico but overall peace at border. But here, we already have enemies at two fronts. One is pakistan, after defeating it in every war they are doing proxy war. Helping terrorists to smuggle through borders and funding some groups in Kashmir to create a situation of unrest. Other one is china which we all know it has expanist dreams, they are trying every way to destabilize the country internally like paying journalist, media organisations to write in its favour and accuse Govt. of not good relations. And also by funding terrorist group at Pak. border. I hope Myanmar doesn't become like them.🙏
@@sumitaggarwal6653 You are an imbecile to understand the depth of the matter. First of all the Myanmar is facing its own internal political issues which has nothing to do with India, like no shit. They are fighting among each other inside their own home. Myanmar has no hostility towards India. Now talking about foreign enemies the India has got only two close border opponents Pakistan and China. Whereas, on the other hand America has got plenty of enemies including Russia, Iran, North Korea and numerous terrorist organizations all over the globe. Finally regarding illegal immigrants, I would say not as many infiltrators come to America every month that many comes to India every week via Bangladesh.
He's wrong about China supporting the anti junta militias, they use the m-16 from what Ive seen. China definitely supported the military Junta when the UNSC voted on what to do about Myanmar.
I hope Myanmar can get back to normal soon. I'm just curious on what it would be like if everyone welcome the army after the coup with flowers. An alternative ending sorta thing.
It's good that he has compiled the history, geography and some known facts about Burma’s politics. However, he spoiled the good work inserting totally false assumptions that are very important to explain the current conditions. Who told him that there are "no evidence of voter fraud or malpractice"? Everybody could see voting irregularities in detail in which more than ten million votes were illegally channeled into National League for Democracy's column. In hundreds of townships, more votes were cast than the voting population, hundreds of thousands of people voted for NLD thrice or twice and also dead and illegal people voted. The assumption that members of the main opposition party voted for NLD is ridiculous. As a matter of fact, more than 24 opposition parties complained with the army about the dirty tricks of the ruling party NLD well before the elections. After the elections also, they asked the army to intervene in the disputes because the army should be the honest broker who initially transferred power to NLD after 2015 elections. There were demonstrations in many towns by thousands of people against elections fraud. Due to complicated political conditions, the Burmese army has to take over the reign of the country a few times after Burma’s independence in 1948 and then held free and fair elections that elected civilian political parties with NLD being the last one. Political observers widely predicted before the 2020 elections that NLD would win the elections but it won't retain the majority due to failures during its five years in power. It will have to invite one or more coalition partners to achieve the majority. NLD leader Aung San Suu Kyi, although she is a carpetbagger, is so dictatorial and arrogant that she would by no means accept any coalition partners. The party discreetly decided to steal votes even to the consternation of the Elections Commission which testified later that they didn't own the whole voter lists. At the request of more than two dozen opposition parties, the army asked the NLD to explain the irregularities a few times. The NLD neglected them and remained mums for three months. When the NLD pushed ahead to convene a parliament and form a new NLD government without any clarification, the army asked the first vice-president to transfer power temporarily to the army in accordance with the constitution. NLD leaders were then arrested. The army promised to hold a free and fair election in a year.
I am from the UK and was trying to find out why the situation is so bad in Myanmar at the moment and you have enlightened and informed me very well...thank you for your efforts, much appreciated. Lets hope Myanmar can reach a peaceful settlement soon and stop this violence and killing.
Very interesting and clearly explained video. However, as someone from Myanmar I do have to disagree about China not benefiting from this military coup. With many countries placing sanctions against this military regime, it will be left with almost no international partners except maybe Russia and China who have historically always backed the junta. China will be able to have a lot more bargaining power against an internationally isolated military government in Myanmar, whereas the civilian government may not be as easily influenced because it would not be sanctioned and isolated like the military regime. China continuously blocks any attempt by the UN to take action about the current situation in Myanmar because it has A LOT to gain from an isolated military regime in Myanmar.
@Ares Bro, your analysis is to the point. China has been using Myanmar as buffer state for it's own selfish reasons and for sustaining unrest in northeastern part of India. Myanmarese Junta has been duped by China and is also maintaining unrest in Myanmar. China has an eye on the gas and oil reserves of Myanmar to mitigate it's shortage back at home. Also, through Myanmar China is eyeing to secure it's Sea lines of communication (SLOC) through Indian Ocean region(IOR). Alongwith this they have cleverly taken Coco island on lease to tackle Indian growing Naval power in IOR. They are using this Coco Island to gather Intel on QUAD and Indian maritime activities. Favourable Myanmar government will also Help China in leasing out some crucial ports in Myanmar to reduce it's dependency on Malaca Strait. The bellicosity and hypocrisy of China is growing day by day despite facing economic backlash back a home.
Yes it also true but it was economic gain for china cuz china is no.2 economy in the world and superpower state just like india which is our two powerful neighbours. China is not also historcially backer of junta. During Ne Win times in 60s . US supported Ne Win coup Cuz PM U Nu is neutral and also taking communists to not take arms. And U Nu is also strong oppose to KMT( present taiwan ) troops in our country's Shan state . So U Nu oppose US aid and recongize Mao government in mainland china and together they fight KMT in Shan State. So US supported Ne Win coup. When Ne Win came to power he wanted to show that he was also not puppet of US. so he is called himself Socailist and closed economy and make some no good economic policies. And also in his time Military got from battlefield to run bussiness. They are soldiers and not bussinessmen. Their militaric mind and polices make myanmar very poor. But behind the scene Ne Win fought communists Like BCP which is supported by China Mao . Only Deng Xiaoping time When China got along with US to fight Soviet. Myanmar got friendly with China. Please my brother I am also From Myanmar and I want to see my country to rise from these poor situations but We need to know and learn history and facts . Don't think Who bad and who right . We must think for ourselevs. In order to good coruse for our country economically and stable and to gain opportunities we need both india and china . Think for our country brother
I love the way you present the information in a way where you stick to facts and avoid making assumptions, or acknowledge where assumptions have been made.
Thanks sir. Please don't ignore us. We are being slaughtered by millitary dogs on daily basis. You might only heard of rohingya case. In fact , all Myanmar people ( 135 ethnic groups ) suffered the same under millitary dictatorship. By the way Aung San Suu Kyi ( pronounces Aung Sann su kyee ) . Thanks sir.

Only way to free your people's from the Military Junta's, a Hero or a leader must rise up from the Armed Forces itself like Middle Ranking Army Officers or a High Ranking General alikes and than arrest those military Generals responsible for the Coup, if such actions takes place the Myanmar People's and the whole world will support them and hail them as heroes. So, do try very hard to reach this message in the Army and alikes. Love from India!
@@alfredawomi2340 nah,you sugesstion sounds great but what you don't know is,it's not just the generals who are abusive but also soliders, they had a habit of abusing ethnics ppl so they are also part of this coup. They even thrratened us to shoot us with live rounds on tiktok videos. It's not just the coup leader but also all abusive soliders that we should wipe out for all the good of ethnics. Glad you did this video. India has significant interests in Sittwe port, Kaladan highway and Trilateral highway. China has military base in Coco island near Andaman as well as the Kyaukpyu island in Bay of Bengal. Nice video!
This was a lot more detail than I was looking for - however, it's also damn impressive Amit. Absolutely stunning work. I did know about Aung San Suu Kyi, but I had forgotten. Thank you for the effort. This is a truly awesome video for those who might want or need to know the particulars

Sir, I have been going through your every updates, really you're great. Keep going, we support you while you're more supportive, teacher and mentor to us..

I would like to point out that most people from outside of Myanmar gave too much credit on the "US sanction" for the transition of the "Partial Democracy". However, most Myanmar would say that the military leader was getting too old to manage his subordinate and he didn't want to be sacked like most dictators when he gets to a certain age. So transition to partial democracy only happened as per his exit plan. He also didn't immediately handover the goverment to the civilian and excluded the leading party NLD to participate for the term of 2010 to 2016. Instead, he made all top generals to force retire for the preparation of the civilian government and made sure that his subordinates including Thein Sein to lead the civilian goverment.
Thanks for sharing about my country sir🙏🏻many myanmar people were killed and arrested before like 8888 uprising in 1988 and saffron revolution in 2007.In this time we must win. #savemyanmar #wewantdemocracy

Also, the “Kyi” in Aung San Suu Kyi, it’s “chi” as in “chillar (change in Hindi).

This was quite informative for me bc I was a bit confused what exactly happened there. It's kind of sad that there are people who still get killed in this point of time. I'm from a developed country so I don't get to see people trying to survive on a daily basis but I think that it's important to know what happens in the world.

I am from Myanmar. Thanks for making this video, Mr.Amit. If you could add the posittions of leaders according to constitution of Myanmar, it would be so much helpful to open new eyes. (According to constitution, No one is on the head of General, not even president.) Thank you, I wish to see your upcoming research videos.

Excellent geopolitical analysis. You should produce another video on the specific issue of the religious aspect of Myanmar problems and the real story of the Rakin state.
There was never peace. There's been continued war in Kachin State and the Rohingya ethnic cleansing/war with the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army. Peace only existed for the Burmese, the army was still fighting everyone else.

As a Burmese I can assure you almost all facts in the video is genuine and really reflect what’s happening on ground. The only wrong thing in the video is MM junta and China have close ties. MM top generals were importing jades, Ruby and timber illegally to China and benefiting a lot from it. They also allowed China to contract deep sea ports and dams, in exchange for enormous bribes. Also China FM met With junta just a few days before the coup, in which most believe the junta asked for china’s veto at the UN Security Council. In conclusion China is in huge favour of the coup, as it can do what ever it want in MYANMAR exchange for bribing the army generals.
It’s interesting how so many of us now find we no longer trust reporting from Yahoo, Al Jazzera, CNN or even BBC and come to sources like Amit to find out what’s really going on. Thank you for this excellent analysis sir!
very informative, and quite neutral. Let Myanmar handle its own affairs, 'cause seems there's not a better way. I think the world will just have to wait.

American here. This was the exact historical explanation and analysis I was looking for. Thank you so much and be safe!
And also by funding terrorist group at Pak. border.
I hope Myanmar doesn't become like them.🙏
👍

LEGEND. You're doing the work that our news channels failed to do - Educating Indians about current affairs and history.
Modi send arms to the Rohingya to destabilize Myanmar!! 🤷
yeah! That's true.
Inviting China and Russia to the un was a huge mistake
@Ares
Bro, your analysis is to the point.
Yes it also true but it was
economic gain for china
cuz china is no.2 economy
in the world and
superpower state just like india which is our two
powerful neighbours.
China is not also historcially
backer of junta. During
Ne Win times in 60s .
US supported Ne Win coup
Cuz PM U Nu is neutral and
also taking communists
to not take arms. And U Nu
is also strong oppose to
KMT( present taiwan )
troops in our country's Shan state . So U Nu oppose US aid and recongize Mao government in mainland china and together they fight
KMT in Shan State.
So US supported Ne Win coup. When Ne Win came to
power he wanted to show
that he was also not puppet of US. so he is called himself
Socailist and closed economy and make some
no good economic policies.
And also in his time
Military got from battlefield to run bussiness. They are
soldiers and not bussinessmen. Their militaric mind and polices
make myanmar very poor.
But behind the scene
Ne Win fought communists
Like BCP which is supported by China Mao .
Only Deng Xiaoping time
When China got along with US to fight Soviet.
Myanmar got friendly with China. Please my brother I am also

President, 2 VP's, Speakers of two parliamentary chambers, 'illogical' state counselor, sr. general, etc.) It's good that he has compiled the history, geography and some known facts about Burma’s politics. (NLD spends millions of dollars to get access privilege to block news in social media.) In hundreds of townships, more votes were cast than the voting population, hundreds of thousands of people voted for NLD thrice or twice and also dead and illegal people voted.

Bs. Easy mission disarm.
Lol it was not peace when they slaughtered hundreds of ethnic minorities
What about rohanya peoples
There was never peace. There's been continued war in Kachin State and the Rohingya ethnic cleansing/war with the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army. Peace only existed for the Burmese, the army was still fighting everyone else.
watching from the UK - great channel !

First i love your voice, second content is perfect and third way of explanation is superb.
It’s interesting how so many of us now find we no longer trust reporting from Yahoo, Al Jazzera, CNN or even BBC and come to sources like Amit to find out what’s really going on. Thank you for this excellent analysis sir!
Even UA-cam algorithm 😂

Your videos are very helpful for my geography preparation. Thank you so much sir.
very informative, and quite neutral. Let Myanmar handle its own affairs, 'cause seems there's not a better way. I think the world will just have to wait.
