It’s amazing how you were going through the lessons of this event mirrors the exact reason Titanic turned into a catastrophe, too many people disregarding the basic safety cautions for luxury. I think that is what gets me the most, here is Titanic as the most prime example of learning the lessons of human capabilities and the consequences of not respecting or regarding limits in favor of hosting the wealthy. The way how the world is being run these days, it shouldn’t surprise me that there are a good number of elites who make deadly decisions in favor of greed and pride.

They didn't ignore safety for luxury, but wanted to cut as many corners as possible to save money. The Titanic also cut corners by not having watertight compartments actually water tight. But you are absolutely correct. They both ignored safety.

The Titan lost both communications and tracking. The submersible reached the location of the shipwreck via text messaging from the mother ship. It could not navigate without being tracked from above. Both systems were lost simultaneously.
I hope it’s investigated why ship personnel waited so many, many hours to call authorities. They surely knew something very serious had happened, and they lost valuable time to understanding what had happened to the passengers.

6:42..What you said here isn't necessarily true. A submersible can implode even at depths lesser than it's prescribed depth limit as it happened in case of the titan submersible. The most likely cause was that the hull had significantly weakened after multiple trips to the titanic wreckage and on this particular trip it just succumbed under pressure.

Excellent in depth knowledge and presentation. There are some things beyond the control of human beings however might may be we are so we learn, wealth creation isn't a bad thing, it's what gives us the energy as we human would keep exploring things going beyond the barriers of nature. Enduring whatever it takes. We would keep trying. That's what we are and that is what we always would be. Whatever we learn or have today is because someone some where during their lifetime sacrificed their lives and time, endured the loss and agony to make the world a better place to live in. We should be grateful to their efforts and sacrifices. It was a tragedy which shouldn't have happened. Then there are things that are beyond our limits although we would never stop trying and to learn from it. This teaches us we haven't yet completely learned how to manage pressure in deep water or anywhere, to conclude to measure the pressure in like you said at such a deep level and be prepared for it. 🙏

As far as the specific cause(s) I think it is prudent to wait and hear what the actual experts determine after they review the wreckage and other evidence.

That vessel had been used 3 other dives. No doubt had cracks in the hull, from the 3 cycles. The hull had sensors for cracking and listening for cracks to warn the operator, kind of like a idiot light, when the light went on, it was too late. When they lost comm, that's when it happened. I'm sure they didnt have time to say, "what's that warning light........ Bad engineering, a vessel certified by NO ONE! NO underwater vessel uses Carbon Fiber. The front vision bubble was engineered to 1300 meters, while the submersible was going to 3800 meters.! it was a deathtrap from the start. After you look at the design, it would not be safe at the bottom of a swimming pool.

The coast guard has already said it was an implosion and US Navy SOSUS sonar nets detected a sound around the same exact time the submarine went missing. Robert Ballard the person who found the titanic wreck and James Cameron the director of Avatar, Titanic who visited the deepest point in the Pacific ocean have all stated the submersible experienced an implosion.

When I heart that the pressure cabine was made using carbon fiber, it was immediately clear to me that such construction must collapse!

  • @mydialoguesandinterpretati5496

Good narration packed with needed information except the last part.. such a turn really takes away the joy...like enjoying drinking a hot cup of tea, till the end and finally getting all the "tea dregs," into the mouth😉 only to do some spitting out splurting out.
But the video is extremely exemplary and useful. Thanks
