Beautiful to see the Mallee getting rain. Close to Cowangie, I estimate at about 27:00 on the video, is a grave to the north of the road, marked "Site of grave, railway worker. Name unknown 1913". It's a sad relic of the tough times.
@@macka8884 glad to hear you enjoyed it 😀 The Warrnambool should be up over the next month or two depending how I go with all the other things I have to do. Should be good. 👍😀
Thanks for the awesome vids driver667. I especially like the Mildura line vids. Hey what are the chances of doing some of SA? Should be quick and easy as we don't believe in intrastate rail like we did in the 50s.
I have done some of the tourist railways of SA but main line SA is on my list. Just have to talk to the right people. We'll see how it goes. 🤞 Glad to hear you are enjoying them. 👍😊
In a hall of residence at uni (in Melbourne) I made friends with a fellow student who happened to be from Underbool, so I learnt from him the pronunciation of some of the stops along the Pinnaroo line. He in turn was surprised that I could describe to him which railway line Underbool was on, and informed me that a certain girl in our hall happened to be from Torrita!
@@driver667 His bio show him as born in Murrayville but grew up on the family farm at Cowangie. Apparently numerous Perkins Racing engines got a good try out on the road along side the track

They certainly were tough times back then. Don't often see the rain out there. 😊👍
Great video
@@yargn3594 thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
Awesome video as per usual Col! Can't wait to see the Warrnambool footage you recently done with my best mate as the driver. 😊

At the part of the line where pretty much every site or station name is fun to say.
@@georgeheilman4243 🤣🤣 I was wondering how many would have fun with these names. 😀😀👍

It's a small world, that's for sure. 👍😊
Cowangie, home town of racecar driver Larry Perkins
@@grahamb5509 interesting. I didn't know that. 👍😀

Another really enjoyable video. Question though. Is it ever planned to re-join so many of the grain silos which were disconnected with standardisation
@@grahamfrench9874 I would hazard a guess and think not. 🤔 Glad to hear you enjoyed the video 👍 😀
Why are the n class going to retire in 2026 they are better then the other trains I will miss them
@@CooperSchache34 we will all miss them unfortunately. 😔🤔👍

Maybe I was loopy to begin with. 🤪🤤😜😵💫😵

Average speed = about 40 km/h. Takes forever to go nowhere at that rate!!
@@peejay1981 it does take a while. 👍😀
